We are trying to decide on a moderate for our tentative trip this November for Jersey week. When I put in our dates, almost no rooms were available, just business class and junior suite. I know it's a busy week there, but it's only January and it seems awfully early to be sold out of rooms. Is there a known huge convention or a scheduled room refurb at that time? Thanks for any insights.:teacher:

This is the current 2016 convention list: http://coronado.forumotion.com/t1242-csr-convention-list#7148

There are conventions 11/3-5 and 11/6. Many rooms may be being held for these events.

Wow thanks. Hard to believe they have NO standard rooms left for those dates. Oh well.
They are likely held and may open later. When a conference organizer books, a certain number of rooms (per contract) are shifted from the CRO inventory to the conference inventory. Conference organizers are assured that a certain number of on-site rooms will be available for their people.

After a certain date, any rooms left unbooked by conference attendees are returned to the CRO pool.

Oooo! Pretty tables outside! Yay! It's been 17 years since I've been there, so I couldn't remember. We'll probably eat dinner here a couple of times over our stay, and I like the idea of eating outside on a nice evening with the view of the resort lights around the lake.

If I get to the resort at 10pm, where should I get a bite to eat and a nightcap?

1 more day for us! I'm taking a bunch of instant oatmeal with us. Do they have Styrofoam bowls in the restaurant that I can just grab a bunch and take to our room to make the oatmeal using water run through the coffee maker? Is grabbing a handful of bowls like that frowned upon? I can pack plastic bowls that I can wash, but I'd rather not. .....I guess I could always make the oatmeal in coffee cups???

Rix Lounge will be open, I don't know if they serve food at that time. Rix Cafe is open to 11, and has wraps, sandwiches, etc.

Consider business class, we really enjoyed it.

So, I just booked CSR BC for my mom and I March 30th-April 7th. We were originally doing a split stay at the Poly and POFQ, but I was getting nervous with so many negative reviews with the Poly. I found a great Orbitz deal and saved $750 on our trip plus we now have breakfast included!

My question is for those of you who have stayed business class, are there soft drinks available in the mornings with breakfast? I'm not a coffee drinker and need my diet coke to get going in the morning. Just wondering if I need to stop by in the evenings and pick one up to save for the morning? Also, does anyone know if CSR sells gallons of distilled water in their gift shop? I have bought it before for my mom's CPAP at POR. Thanks!

They didn't usually put out soft drinks but would provide them from the back if requested. Don't know about distilled water.

Regarding Business Class, please correct me if I'm wrong, but there is only "standard view" right? What exactly does that mean? Are all the views the same, or do some views look at the lake, others look at the buildings nearby, or the parking lot, etc.? Should I put in a note request if I'd like an actual good view?

Cabanas 9B is almost (one narrow end faces 9A) completely surrounded by vegetation and water features, no parking lots.
