Wow..wow...WOW!! Just had to jump in here and share my excitement. This morning I got CR 14th Floor Concierge for 12/30 and 12/31! Do you believe it!? I am in shock! :earseek: I have been calling and calling for the last month and a half. We got a king room (code CW). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I read that the king rooms are on the king-dom side (bad pun but I'm still silly happy). Is that correct? I've got some re-tweeking of our PS's to do now that we will be able to have light breakfasts and late night desserts in the Lounge. And from what I'm told (we've never been to CR let alone 14th Floor) the view is spectacular! MAN-O-MAN, Lives4Disney, you must be spreading the magic 'cause I never thought I'd get it!!! :sunny:

Congratulations! Yes, the King room is on the MK side. Enjoy!

The Pixie Dust must be thick at CR!!!

Got back last night...was upgraded to Tower/10th floor/MK side!!!

Had a MAGICAL time and so happy!!!

sounds like a lot of Pixie Dust!!!! I'm glad everyone is getting what they wanted from the CR:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Holy Cow - it will be MK view! Thanks, Kimberle, I wasn't sure but I thought I read somewhere that Code CW rooms had a view of the castle. I am still reeling with joy. :cloud9:
Yes, DisneyDmbNut and sm4987, I can hardly see for the "dust"! Oh, and thanks, alloyd1170, for the Wrinkle Release tip!

OHMYGAWSH, Kim! This is more pixie dust then I EVER dreamed. There are only TWO king rooms on the whole floor! Well, this is enough "magic" to last a lifetime!
Thanks so much for the floor plan. So :cool1:!!!

Uh Oh.........I made reservations a couple of months ago for the 14th floor, 2 Queens, MK view for 3 nights in Dec 2005. The CM confirmed that the room we were going to get had 2 Queens and a MK view......

Was she wrong? Are the only standard rooms on the 14th floor with MK views King bed rooms?

Ok....no sleep for me tonight......:(

According to the Floor Plan, there are 2 Queen rooms with a MK view - CY and CYH. CYH is a Handicap accessible roomm but CY is a Standard Queen room.

You should be able to sleep now :teeth:

Dizz

Congratulations!
I know that excited feeling.
We'll be there Dec 29-31. HOpe you have a terrific anniversary.
We will look for you in the lounge. We will be recovering from our Christmas cruise so we will be hainging out there a lot. Not doing too much park time.

Hey, TinkFan, how 'bout that!? I did finally get it! 14th Floor Concierge, nights of 12/30 and 12/31! I'll try to remember to wear my Tinkerbell "Members Are Magical" pin so you'll recognize me! I'll recognize you guys right off...you'll be the ones with that very satisfied "I-just-got-off-the-Magic/Wonder" look. Ahhhhhh...:cloud9: Thanks for the encouragement and pixie dust!

I'm taking my daughter to WDW for a couple of nights before our spring break cruise. We've stayed at all levels of resorts, and when I ask her where she wants to stay, it's always AKL. Don't want to do it, hated the busses.

since it's such a short trip, I'd like to try a close in resort- but not BC since we've done that so much. I'm leaning towards CR... but I'm not sure if I want to spend the extra money on the tower room... So, if I don't is it worth it to stay in a wing room?

I love the idea of a tower room, on the MK side, but would worry that I'd get a room on the other side.

Any opinions?

Hey Candle, I just today switched our sprin gbreak stay from WL, which I love, to CR. This will be our 4th or 5th stay at the CR, always in a wing room. I was able to switch my existing WL ressie to the CR using my same code, which has expired. FYI, I was quoted $237 for water view garden and $322 for the tower. This was for April 1-5 of 2005. We elected to stay in the wing again, Just can't justify the extra $$ for the tower when we will probably make at least 1-2 more trips there in '05. I think you'll like the wing rooms, they're very spacious, especially if you're used to the ones at AKL. We loved the WL but thought that the rooms were a little small for a family of four. Our other issue was the crowd level during spring break. I started thinking about having to wait for a boat and remembered how chillythe first of April was ths year. Opted for the convenience of the monorail! ;)

We stayed in a wing room and was very happy with it. The room is very spacious. Mousekeeping was very good. We were in the north wing facing the MK. We could see the castle from one of the rooms we had. I think you would be very happy in a wing room. If I can answer any questions about our stay let me know.

We stayed in the North wing a few years ago. It was a lovely place to stay. The rooms are large and bright. Just note, 1st floor rooms have patios, no balconies on higher floors. We were on the 2nd floor abt 1/2 way down. We had a wonderful view of the fireworks from our room.

A deluxe room without a balcony? Yikes! I wish I had known about the codes! I JUST decided to go to WDW for the nights before our cruise.

Actually, I do have a couple of questions.

Is there someplace to eat, besides the sit down restaurants? Many times, especially mornings, we just want to grab a bite and run. What the Beach Club offers isn't enough, and we really love the Mara at AKL.

The slide at the pool, anyone know how deep the water in that section of the pool?

Candleonwater--There is a large food court at CR. I think the pool is 3-4 feet where the slide is, but I'm not totally sure. Maybe someone else can tell you for sure.

pool is less than 4 feet by the slide. Life jackets are available for free with your room card, just go to the Sammy Duval counter for the boat rentals.
