The chocolate monorail is a dessert you can order from Private Dining. It is $50 plus tax and delivery feel. I cancelled ours as we had a gift basket delivered from a friend and didn't need the extra food.

Hi Triplefigs,
Now you have booked the tower MK view, is there any specific floor that you want? The pictures, that you took last week in the CR, were wonderful.

I requested the 11th floor. I think the higher floors would give a little better view, especially at Christmas when that HUGE tree is out front. But any view from that side should be lovely. It was worth every penny, and I can't wait to go back!

? for those of you that stay club level here. I know the CR and GF share an IPO office. Do you hear back in a timely manner? Do they return phone calls? How are your emails when you hear from them?[/QUOTe

I am one of the ones who is having a hard time with the CR IPO office. I have not tried to call them I gave up on that. There is one other person who posted awhile back that had some problems too.
I e-mailed them and it took 2 weeks to get a reply. I sent back my itinerary with request for Cirque tickets for March 25. I did not know the Cirque did not have a show on that date. I finally e-mailed them to see if they even got my itinerary. I did get a reply to that. It took a little over a week for that one. If it wasn't for my TA, I would not have known that there were no shows available for that Sunday. I had her get a hold of them and she made my arrangements for tickets.
I have decided to make my own ADR's because of the experience that I have had and from what I have noticed others to be having. I am only seeing complaints coming from the CR/GF IPO office. I have read quite a few other threads on this.

I have had concierge at different resorts at Disney for the past 6 years. This is the first time that I had a problem. It is too bad, because it could make a person wonder if this is the type of service you will get when staying at the Contemporary. If it were not for Triplfigs and a few others I was going to change resorts. Everyone seems to conclude that the CM's on the actual concierge floor are wonderful.

Deb Wills (all ears.net) has updated her info on the CR Concierge floors and used all my pics of the 12th floor. You can see them here.

Hi, princess:
I am sold on the Contemporary now! :thumbsup2 My family and I want to see the Christmas Decorations and we will be going sometime in 07. How far in advance should I book a room in the tower (MK view) ? Do they sell out quite quickly? What is everyone's favorite room with a view? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, all. We just re-booked for next December with a Tower MK view room. We had a such a great time last week at the CR, and we're really looking forward to our next trip there.

Also, I sent an email to Deb Wills (Allears.net) about the CR Atrium Club was now full service. She is updating her info and is using my pictures of the club from last week on her website! I'll post a link once she has updated her website.

I saw your pics on Deb's site and they look awesome! I'm so glad you guys had a wonderful vacation! Your trip report made our Halloween 'Countdown to the Contemporary' even more exciting! I still haven't decided if I'm going to order that chocolate monorail yet. If I do, I'll post pictures of it here when we get back. I really would like to surprise the kids with it, but since we're doing two MNSSHP parties, I think we'll have more than enough candy! LOL!

-Michelle

P.S. Your panoramic picture is amazing, too! I can't wait to see that view!

Congratulations! You won't regret your decision to stay at this resort. I can't really speak for how quickly rooms book up, because I am a very early booker. Pretty much as soon as the rooms open up for reservations, I'm on the phone booking mine. Now, as for favorite view, I actually prefer the Bay Lake view to the Magic Kingdom view. The MK View is also the parking lot view. But the Bay Lake view has a great view of Bay Lake (obviously) and the pool area. Plus, you have a front row seat for the Electric Water Pageant every night. The other thing I like about the BL View is that no matter where your room is located, you'll have a great view. But it seems to me that in a MK View room, the farther away you are from the castle, the worse the view gets. So it is more of a hit or miss proposition. Just my two cents, and if you took a poll you would probably get dozens of opinions both supporting and contradicting mine.

Hi Momimouse27
That view is beautiful. I may even like that better that the other side with the parking lot view. Would you stay on that side again?

Yessss! :lmao: I have never stayed on the castle side before but I think I would prefer the bay view anyway. The only downside is that you don't get to see the fireworks, but it was beautiful. We could see the top of the WL, the skyline of Downtown Disney and we could see the fireworks in Epcot at a distance. I would definitely pick bay view again.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread recently, so forgive me if this has been stated. We will be staying at CR very soon and I'm just curious about renovations. What is under construction right now? More importantly, how has the shopping been affected? I remember CR had a very nice, large store.

Thanks!
Christine

agree completely - plus you can see a little part of Epcot - D & S from the Bay Lake - so sometimes you can see their fireworks!!!

now the last time we got a great MK view - but to me the beds were much worst - the room was smaller - and besides the fireworks - the best views were the only WDW resorts both the GF and Polyn. but the fireworks were pretty wonderful!!!

plus when you were outside enjoying the views you also could see and HEARD the traffic. all the WDW buses that go to the MK go in front and the MK views you will see and heard them.
