ADRs opening on the 23! Oh great, here we go again. I haven't recovered from this morning and Space 220.

That’s the adr day for R&C dinner with viewing too! It’s gonna be a mess.

Good idea. I just want those short rib wontons and that sourdough bread with the garlic tomato oil. How does the bar work if you have an 11 year old

I usually get some people who disagree with this parenting decision, but DS11 and I have sat at the CG bar several times. I’m not good at making ADRs and sometimes we’re just winging what we do, so bar seating works well at times.

The last time we were in the spot on the straight part of the bar that is basically right where the bartender is mixing/pouring drinks and there are liquor bottles/wine bottles all over the place. Might be a little much depending on your parenting style though. I guess time will tell with my decisions. But frankly they have great, social bartenders there who are always very engaging, even with my kids (some we’ve come to recognize over time), so we really enjoy it.

I think the normal lounge area is still being used for regular tables, but I’m definitely not sure about that so don’t take that as fact.

I think it sounds perfectly reasonable. As long as there are no rules about it, I’d be comfortable doing it as well.

Just spent 2 nights here. Sitting outside Contempo waiting to head out. Seems like a big push to finish! You can hear the construction right now from the 4th floor and a ton of activity going on along the first floor. Construction workers could be seen on room balconies over the weekend.

As we were headed to DME (which turned out to be a small van with just the 2 of us lol), we saw workers either re-hanging artwork or putting up new artwork. So, hopefully those surrounding walls coming down soon

Club level was announced opening 9/26 and no one has been called to move yet so I think that’s a go but still, what’s up Disney?

Yep, that what I'm wondering. I have a reservation for arrival on Sept 30th. The rumors are that the big reveal is coming tomorrow. We'll soon see if this info pans out to be true!

I saw a few photos yesterday of the lobby. Seems like they're making progress there. Mary Blair art was up on the walls near the elevator banks.

Think I'm going to call and see if I get can transferred to front desk. I do not want to drive for 8.5 hours to find out I'm being moved to another resort. Rather stay home and rebook at a later time.

They would not transfer me to the front desk. Guest services CM looked at my reservation and said everything will be OK and I'll have access to a room - Tower MK View. She said all of the construction would be completed by Sept 30. Now this is from guest services so who knows if it's accurate.

Saw some photos of the lobby just a bit earlier, appears that the sign for Steakhouse '71 has been installed.

Fingers crossed for you that everything will open on 9/30 as promised.

I saw those pics of the sign and I like how they did the 71 to echo the shape of the hotel & monorail.

I hope everything opens on time for you. How exciting to be in the Tower MK View for the start of the 50th .

Was definitely not able to see the sign last weekend. I specifically went over to look since I was hoping they'd magically be ready for soft openings lol. Was able to see a bit between some of the coverings walking in the area past the elevators but I felt weird going up closer to peek, so it was hard to tell how much different the area really looked.

When we were leaving on Monday, it seemed like the construction was going like crazy. It was way louder than I recall hearing on the other 2 days but that could have been since it was not the weekend (I did see workers on the weekend though as well).

We stayed from Sat-Mon and had the definite impression they were pushing hard to finish. Construction workers were everywhere downstairs and upstairs. Lots of "suits" walking around as well.

I am a BWV owner, staying a few night at BLT in a few weeks. Can I have a package shipped ahead of time? Does it get delivered at the Contemporary or over at BLT?
