Disney's CONTEMPORARY RESORT Information & Questions

It is over in the lobby in the villas. It's not so much a train room, but there is one of Walt Disney's trains in a display case and some photos on the walls. They call it the Carolwood Pacific Railroad Room. It used to be the Iron Spike Room. There is a fireplace in the room and a table with a checkerboard on top so you can play checkers. When we stay at the villas, I like to get a book and sit by the fireplace and read. When you walk in the door from the covered walkway, the CPRR is towards the right. Thank you!!!

KOOK - Can you provide any more info on the train room at WL? My son would LOVE to see that!! Thx!!
I have photos and more information in the VWL section of the WL thread HERE.

Thanks for posting, Deb.

I'm going to ask this here, rather than the disAbilities board, because it is specific to CR, and hopefully someone here will know for sure. So, will I have trouble getting an ECV up to our room? We are staying in the tower, TPV, and will be CL if we can get a discount. I'm just concerned about elevators and stuff like that. Anyone have experience with this? TIA! :)

The elevators in the tower are quite large and will be able to accommodate you with no problem.

Thank you! We were originally going to stay at a moderate, so outside hallways. I just now thought about how different it will be at CR.
Thanks again!! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know what the highest floor is that you can get a 1 bedroom villa on?

I've seen them in the elevators at all the Deluxes many times so you won't have any problem.

Hey Contemporary Fans: Disney Parks Blog has a video posted of one of the MK view suites:
Thank you for posting the link!

Does anyone know what the highest floor is that you can get a 1 bedroom villa on?
According to the room number map on the BLT Room View thread, the highest floor for a one bedroom is the 16th for an INNER villa and the 14th for an OUTER villa.

love the pics, getting so excited for our upcoming trip!! I like that they kept a bit of the small world feel to the Frozen theme...:wizard:

What's the best room in the garden wing garden view? We would prefer 1st floor to get a sitting area!

Woohoo!! We have dipped under 5 months until our next stay!!! So excited to get to stay at CR!! I think this is the longest I've kept a reservation with no changes!! :rotfl2:

Time will fly...we've got Thanksgiving and Christmas and only 48 more days until our baby boy is here!!! :lovestruc

We requested 1st floor, bay view and ended up in 5116. Had a lovely patio, views of the water and a quick walk to the pool. I've heard that 5150 is a coveted room for the bay views (I believe it's also a corner room?) and would definitely recommend requesting a water view. Not an option during online check in, but I called to have this added to our reservation about 3 days before we arrived, and got exactly what we wanted. A bit of a walk to the tower, but we didn't mind at all :)

Here are a couple of pics I snagged in the CR lobby.
Thank you, Tickerless! I have a feeling you won't be tickerless for long;)
