Back from our first stay at BLT (we own there) and loved it!!!! We booked a standard studio and got very lucky with room 7314. We could see Space Mtn and the fireworks It was great!

ME was a mess when we arrived. I have never seen it so busy- the entire area was packed. In fact, we did not board a bus until 1 hour after we landed. Then it took an additional hour to get to the CR as it was the last of 4 stops. But, the rest of our week was just perfect!

We loved the walk to MK, monorail home, and monorail to EP. Even the bus to AK was great- it went straight there with no other stops. The DHS bus was packed and took awhile, but coming back we got lucky and walked up just as the bus was pulling in.

We ate at the Contempo Café a couple times and enjoyed it. The chefs were super with my allergies.

We had a very park heavy trip and had the best time. While waiting for ME to take us back we were able to at least go see the pools. Can't wait to head back soon! Next year is DLR though. We LOVED VGC and are excited to stay there again. Now that's the perfect location!

What type of room is the Garden Wing-King? We just booked a bounce-back offer for next year and this was one of the only room types left. Based off of the quoted price, we're thinking that it might be like a deluxe room...

I don't know for sure, but I think a GW King is a deluxe room. Hopefully someone else will be able to confirm that or correct me if I'm wrong .

Thanks for your mini report, glad you had a great time . I'm sorry about DME and it taking an hour to board the bus and then another hour getting to the CR, but glad everything else was perfect .

Yes- request a high floor and keep in mind that "Odd-numbered Magic Kingdom View beds face toward the MK." You will LOVE it!

I believe that is the booking description for the Deluxe room. Those rooms only have a king and a queen sleeper sofa. The other non-suite GW rooms can't be booked as kings, they are by-request only.

Hi everyone! We are planning a trip for early spring 2016, and CR is our dream resort. This is the trip of a lifetime for us, and probably our only chance to stay deluxe. So here's my question: Are the room discounts for CR normally less than other deluxes? I was pricing resorts going off 2015 discounts, just to get an estimate, and CR is a smaller discount than the others. Is it always that way, and does anyone think this will change when the Poly construction is done?

This year I know they were lower, but with construction at both Poly and WL pool, CR was probably not hurting for guests. Once those are complete I suspect CR discounts will be a little better.

Though we only had a view of the lagoon, we weren't really in our room enough that we missed the TVP. I'm sure it would have been great, but staying at CR was magical even without it

Thank you so much!! This is our dream resort, and unless prices skyrocket, we could swing TPV, even at rack rate, but a good discount would get us into CL. We will be spending a considerable amount of time there, due to my health, and we are a very slow paced, go with the flow type family. We all really want to stay at CR! Now I just have to survive until 2016, the wait is already killing me!!

I am sure this question has been asked before but I can't find an answer. What TV channel has the music for the fireworks? We just were able to book a TPV room for our trip in 2 weeks with our fall room only discount!

Depending on which part of the resort you're in it's either channel 105 or 20.

We are here now at BLT. We've watched Wishes every night from our room and the music is on channel 105

Anytime I have priced the CR with a discount, the tower rooms have usually been offered at the lower end of the discounts (20% vs 30%), but that's not to say the discount (should one be offered for your dates) won't be higher for 2016. There have been times the discount for tower rooms/CL have been 30%, but more times than not (at least in my experience), the discount is 20%. I have seen GW rooms offered at 30%, but TPV and CL rooms tend to be offered under the lower discount (at least whenever I've priced out the CR). But, as Cluelyss posted, once the Poly is completed, that might change things as discounts are dependent on occupancy and how a resort is booking up, so if the CR is slow to book, higher discounts might be offered. I think WL is a great choice during the holidays . We've never stayed there in December, but made a point to visit on both of our past December trips as the decorations are gorgeous and the resort is amazing and is one of our favorites .

It's never too early to start planning. Time goes by so fast that 2016 will be here before you know it .

I recommend signing up for Orbitz and checking dates/prices frequently as your trip timeframe gets closer. The rooms generally go on discount (like they do through Disney) and then we got a 30% off code emailed to us to use on top of that.

Maybe it was just a fluke, because the week we booked was the only week we found this room at this rate, but we were flexible with dates and were able to book 6 nights in the Contemporary (tower, Bay Lake view) for $2000 - way cheaper than the same reservation through Disney! I think this room is normally $500-$600/night at rack rate.
