Does anyone know of any Contemporary Merchandise that's available to purchase?
I got a monorail salt and pepper but that was way back in 2008, I wondered if there way anything there at the moment?

I was looking at some pics from a recent trip and found this one! Instantly made me smile because the quiet pool at CR is one of my favorite places.

It doesn't matter what time of year or time of day I go to this pool, it is never crowded

Also, the views are of Bay Lake and BLT

Great picture I love that pool as well. I like that it's a bit deeper in the middle than the main pool, and how it looks like your hovering over Bay Lake. Also at night, it's usually completly empty at night, and you can have your own private viewing of the electrical water pageant while swimming

They've done away with most of the Contemporary souvenirs. All I've seen the past few years has been a lithograph of the CR and BLT, and some BLT/DVC coffee mugs, both are sold at the marketplace.

I know I have seen dvc merchandise but I have not seen CR stuff. The stuff I have seen has always been in the Fantasia(food mkt) area.

I remember watching the fireworks from Epcot too!

Unfortunately, they have done away with a lot of resort specific merchandise. There have been some resort specific items brought back to a few of the resorts, but it's not anything like it was in years past .

I agree as I love buying resort specific items and was very sad when I found that a lot of those items were being taken away .

Just thought I'd share this. I'm excited if this is true! Im staying at the contemporary in December.

There were three lifeguards and they let us and others catch our toddlers. It might depend on if it's crowded, there weren't many people in the pool, maybe 25 of us. They did tell me you can't slide with them, and they can't wear swimming shoes. Yes, they can wear preservers on the slide.

Thank you for clarifying that "catching" your children was allowed. I recall in the past the lifeguards yelling "stay back from the slide," but this may have been more to the children than the adults.

For what it's worth, the elevator nearest the tower in the garden wing ( where the breezeway leads to the tower) has been down all week.

Hi Kook! We updated our dates for April. (If you could note it on the log-o-rail)

Our new dates are 4/25/15 - 5/2/15. (Still a Bay Lake View Tower room).

Shorter trip than we are used to, but I'm thinking that 7 nights/8 days will be plenty with a 3 month old!

It is a shame and an untapped market. I make a point of asking a manager every time we're at WDW, whether staying at CR or not. I usually ask at BVG and the answer, for years, has remained the same, "We don't have any, but I wish we did because people ask all the time." The last treasure I was able to get there was a CR ornament and since then, only the lithograph, which hangs next to me.

Magical Express feedback please .... approximately how long does it take from the airport to the Contemporary? I have a dear friend that wants to book a shuttle because it took too long. I was thinking even with stops it would be approximately 1 hour.

Funny story!

In August dd and I get on ME bus and wait. After it is full-ish the driver waits until he is on the way and says order of stops POLY, GF, WL THEN CR

So I say to dd " I 'll get off at poly and take the monorail around and get off at cr and check us in, you can sit on bus and get our suitcases off and I'll meet you".

When we almost get there she says, I will do the check in YOU sit on the bus.

I have many trips with ME but this guy was fast

I got off the bus and was greeted with a person with iPad and they checked me in (even had CL and did from curb) . Room wasn't ready but they will text our number and our MB's would work later on elevator

We were starved so I get bellhop to store our stuff. Dd was still not there!!!

Finally she shows up and we walk/run to MK for Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe !!

So it was the 4th stop but wasn't so bad after all, it was faster than riding the monorail! When I told the driver that my daughter was racing him on the monorail he was LOL!

It was an hour or less.

On a side note we had Streamlined Checkin. After we were greeted at the curb we never had to go to the desk. While we were walking I got an email from American Express that a charge was made to my card(so I knew they were doing it somewhere). Later after we got into the room Sharon (concierge) brought down to our room the paperwork and texting info.

I don't think you all will fit in a studio. Studios are smaller than the standard rooms at CR.
