Thanks! So yes, still tight! Well the pull down bed does look nicer than the pull out couch, but still like no room between that and the balcony door when bed is down.

So what was all the hoo-hah about re-routing plumbing? The studios are exactly the same footprint (i.e., small bedroom area), though the pull-down bed is a welcome addition.

The only discussion I know about is the one concerning the new DVC Cabins at Ft. Wilderness and possibly wanting a different configuration but it was deemed to expensive and was not changed.

There was speculation that the BLT rehab was going to take so long because pluming was going to be re-routed. Considering that rehabbed units are already coming online, it seems like that was scrapped too.

Do they have late check out?
First half of our vacation is at the Contemporary and the second half is at the Adventurra, so we are having a "switch" day a relaxing day amongst the quick amusement parks to relax and switch hotels but when check out at one hotel is at 11am and check in at the other hotel is at 4pm that a little bit of a problem. Do they hold your luggage so we can go to disney springs or something?

You can ask in the morning of Check-out day but the most we have ever gotten since 1971 is 1 hour.

Yes Bell Services will hold your luggage if you drop it off or if you call them from your room they will come to collect it while you wait in the room for the bellman.

There is a crane in front of the tower building. Don't know if it is being used for roof repairs on the tower. It appears that the roof of the convention center has been repainted.

Does anyone know if this means it’ll reopen at the beginning of March or go through the month of March. We are going to be at BLT 3/9-3/15 for our first BLT stay and we’re looking forward to the Skyway Bridge.

Well it does say from January to March 2025 so you might get lucky with your dates. I would guess they will Open soon . I walked over on Valentines Day and it was still restricted access. I was hoping to visit the craft room but could not. I hope they will eventually re-open this also.

This may be a silly question, but about how long does it typically take to walk from BLT over to the main building to catch the monorail? I'm assuming under normal circumstances you use the Skybridge as the connector?

We are going at the end of Oct/early Nov, and are considering changing our current hotel to this for our stay due to the proximity to MK for some of our travel party with disabilities. Haven't stayed at the Contemporary in nearly three decades so my personal info is woefully out of date.

Since the BLT refurb is suppose to be done in September, can it be assumed that any room booked there would be a refurbed room when we go, as well?

I'm assuming under normal circumstances you use the Skybridge as the connector?

Yes the Skybridge at BLT is on the 5th floor and it drops you right on the4th floor Concourse where you take the elevator up the Monorail platform if required on the 5th level or the escalator up. You will go through Security right at the bottom of the escalator before heading to the Monorail.

Your total time / distance is some what dependent on where in BLT your room is located. I would use 10 minutes from your BLT room to the Security check for the Monorail all without going out side.

Yes all rooms should be done by some time in September since it will have been a full since the refurb started in Sept. 2024.

We just got back from a 7 night stay at BLT (as part of a split stay) and loved the location! Nothing better than just casually wandering to and from MK rather than having to deal with transport, particularly during peak times. The monorail was pretty easy too the couple of times we caught it for EPCOT.

We didn't ever time our walk between the buildings, and the Skybridge was out of order for our trip too, but I would have said 5-10 minutes depending on the location of the room within BLT and luck with the lifts.
