If I book a garden view room at the contemporary is that in a different building or the main building that the monorail runs through.
The Garden Wing is a separate building. View categories in the Tower are Bay Lake View and Theme Park View.If I book a garden view room at the contemporary is that in a different building or the main building that the monorail runs through.

No, just through the Tower. But the GW is about a 2 minute covered walk away. We found the GW to be quite lovely, and much quieter, but you still get the CR "feel" and the ability to walk to MKDoes the monorail go to the garden view building?

Wonderfully. So if I'm looking for a resort close to MK for just sleeping and a mid day break, I assume that the GV would fit the bill.
Wonderfully.

You're welcome and I hope you were able to apply a discount
The BLV is our favorite Disney Resort view. It's very peaceful and relaxing. All the rooms have balconies and unobstructed views. The higher floors have commanding views so that's a popular request. It's amazing walking out of your room and seeing the monorail go by and the MK and the 4th floor Concourse... Despite what some say about CR not feeling "themed," Ive always felt very connected to Disney and the MK when I'm there.
All Atrium Club bookings are for a Standard Room. This just means it isn't a suite. What view did you book? Bay Lake or Theme Park? You have to book a view with the Atrium Club, but you can't book a view with the Tower Club.
Woohoo!
Your persistence paid off![]()
Disney offers public discounts on rooms and some suites. These discounts do appear on the Disney booking site. However, even though you can book some suites online, if the room or suite is unavailable online when you check, you won't see the discounted price. MouseSavers is a site that posts all available discounts HERE. Also, is you are a FL Resident, Annual Passholder, military or DVC member, you are also eligible for discounts throughout the year. There are blackout dates for some discounts and they aren't always available, but it's always worth checking for some sort of discount so you aren't paying rack rate. You can also call to ask if there are any applicable discounts that can be added to your current reservation. It is harder though to apply discounts to suites, but someone has posted here that they had applied a small discount to a Tower suite.Wait a sec, what discount?? LOL. I wasn't told of any discounts, can you tell me please? LOL.
That is an amazing upgrade and to a TPV! You are going to love the Tower! It's great that you checked your MDX account and noticed the upgrade. Now you can look forward to it for the next few days!I'm so excited. I just found out that Disney has given me a free upgrade at the Contemporary for my Monday trip from garden view to tower - theme park view. I found out about it after looking at the my Disney Experience information for my trip and notiiced the change which I have confirmed with Disney Reservations.

Just think if I hadn't decided to change from GF to the Contemporary yesterday, this wouldn't have happened.

Did you book through someone besides Disney? A lot of people who booked a room through Orbitz etc were posting that they saw a KCW in MDE and it appears to be some kind of internal travel agency code, nothing more.Does anyone know what a KCW Room Only on your reservation in MDE means?
