Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Well, I have been stacking and stacking disney gift cards for my upcoming stays, both BB rates, and I'm in good shape! I am booked at CR CL for both as this was all that's available, but I just found a GF CL TPV room for my first stay, which is 2 nights. April stay is 4 nights, so I'm not even looking for an alternate location unless I can get BWI. GF is about $650 more total, which I can swing, but I just paid cash for our solar install and am having a tough time letting go of the $. I like the food better at CR tbh, but I just love the GF lounge, space, and rooms so much. And I despise that CR elevator situation. What would ya'll do?

Also, I wonder if the CL staff at GF would make fun of me if I'm back there AGAIN after May, August, and November? Like - hey, guys, that loser is back again!

That makes it easy to justify. Just consider it an advance on your energy savings from your new Solar installation. Disney math strikes again for the CL win.

There should not be a long wait for the Elevators at CR unless you are going during Easter week. Your other option may be to use the stairs when going down, it's only a max of 12 floors, and then only use the Elevators up from the 4th floor. For the lower floors we just use the low dollar version of the people-movers aka the Escalators.

Also, I wonder if the CL staff at GF would make fun of me if I'm back there AGAIN after May, August, and November? Like - hey, guys, that loser is back again!
They may think you hit the Lottery or are just independently wealthy, and love the GF RPC Club service. Even though you no so secretly love the CR CL food. It can be our little secret here on the DIS CL thread.

No lottery, sadly - but I had a good year at work (I was retained) and spent almost nothing other than travel and solar because I had other long-term money goals to achieve. But after waiting the day, I'm hesitant to blow cash on GF again; a change seems like a good idea, maybe I'll just upgrade my view instead. My trips are Sunday-Tuesday and Sunday-Thursday, and no holidays or other big events, so hopefully the elevator will be fine.

I’m with you. I like the food better at cr but the lounge at gf. However now that gf has soup midday that does help tip the scales in their favor.

The years I did that (repeat stays)I enjoyed my trips more. Getting to know the staff helps make for a better experience.

April is a good pool time so GF is better for that trip.

GF is a longer trip - tbh, I’d rather splurge on GF for that!! I need to keep stalking:)

I used to stay CL at least one trip a year but the price increases made it increasingly hard to justify. I just looked for this year thinking I could do a split trip and holy price increases Batman! I just can’t, I wanna but I can’t. Did it go up even more for 2026?

Prices are high. I’m hoping for a discount for Dec 2026. Right now CL WV in Yacht Club is 11k for 7 nights so 1500 per night including tickets, hoppers passes, taxes.

Loved all your photos thanks! We’re back at GDT CL in 12 days!
Curious, did you ask for the Mickey bars or did they have them out somehow? We’ve found getting them there so hit or miss (mostly miss).
They did not have them out during dessert hours Christmas Eve night, but they did offer them. The following afternoon, there were a couple of kids sitting at the table next to us who asked and were given them. Enjoy!

we’re torn between Polynesian club and contemporary club. We’re 3 grown adults, don’t really drink. We stayed grand this last year but can’t decide which to try of the other two. Both are theme park view club level

I used to think this commentary was overblown (probably because I was part of it!) but as my kids have gotten older, I find the Poly lounge craziness (especially mornings) to be a bit bothersome. I really can’t tell if human behavior is different these days or I’m getting ‘kids get off my lawn’ older, but it just seems like a lot of kids/adults/people making a ton of noise, mess, why are there so many strollers in here, etc. Now granted, I love 95% of the rest of the Poly and Poly CL experience - so as a full body of work it’s still high on my list.

Not like CR Atrium Club is immune to noise/kids either (no place is), but for some reason Poly “feels” more hectic, to me.

Poly CL TPV third floor rooms are hands down my favorite room on property and they are just better, more livable rooms overall than CR, IMHO.

Both are pretty equal in terms of food /offerings, generally speaking.

Not sure what all you’re into (I see your note about not really drinking) but there are times where the Poly amenities - Trader Sam’s, Tambu Lounge, Wailulu, etc - are great for adults, even for non-drinkers. CR sort of has less of that kind of action. Poly would win the pool comparison in a landslide.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be equally happy either place (CR and Poly are basically where we only stay these days) so it’s a bit of a toss up. Poly is an overall better location with walkable access to the TTC and GF. I think I’d lean to whichever resort/location you prefer over anything else.
