Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I did have to do a little double take at ‘your castle’ in the mural. Seems some artistic liberties taken on the height. 😇

Well, that is not my castle. My castle is in the middle of the 100-degree, deluge-affected, lovebug-ridden swamp that is WDW ❤️! But I might give it another shot sometime if desperate…

@GADisneyDad14 thanks for the detailed response! I was looking at GF but ended up booking WL because I was able to get the 20% off discount with CL. Will also look out for BB rates when I get back in August. Maybe we will just do both parties?! They both sound awesome and I love a good fireworks show. Fav part of MNSSHP was watching from our poly CL room.

I have done both. For rides Jollywood was great. You really could ride all of the headliners with minimal wait. It felt more adult. There was music playing around the park so more lively than normal.

MVMCP we like for getting into the holiday mood. The parade and main st decor with some rides sprinkled in.

We like CR cl for MK because I have ran back for desserts and back to party some parties (both Halloween and Christmas) .

We did a split the 1st year of jolly . We did BWI cl for jolly and GF RPC for MVMCP. It was 2 nights each and one of our best trips! Me and dd for that one,

I know I recommended CR but stayed at GF but I have done many parties. I usually go with cheapest CL on monorail for parties. I got a great GF rate that year.
@trishadano thanks! Was trying to get a monorail resort but the only CL option available near MK with the new 20% off option is WL. Hopefully the boat ride won’t be so bad that time of year (we aren’t a fan of having to wait on the boats when we typically go in the heat of August).

Sounds fun! You may know this about WL, but don't forget there is also a bus to/from MK. Most people almost always gravitate to the boats and many I suspect don't even realize bus is an option, but can be a nice alternative if needed.

Thanks for the tip! This will be our first time staying there!
Generally for rope drop we do bus to get to the park fast. Then use boat midday to leave .

Also note the boat runs from WL/CR after 3p but I don’t know when it stops. Just ask boat captains when you are there. It’s nice to have that option. Leaving MK you can walk to cr and boat from there or play on the monorail and then head home from cr.

It’s just nice to know your options. Things happen and you can’t be over prepared.

Thanks so much! We are going thanksgiving weekend so I definitely need to be prepared!

I didn't realize you were going over Thanksgiving to WL. You will be so spoiled with the view of the lobby from the lounge, its truly magical with the Christmas decor. Sounds like a fantastic trip, have fun!!

16 days to go for our CR Atrium level again.

Question if anyone knows......How much is the Minnie Mini Van to AK or HS from CR? Hubby is thinking about surprising our GD with the ride. Well, our son and DIL, too.
In my experience (and I use a lot of Minnie Vans when I am at Disney - once to take me from the front of Epcot to the Yacht Club because I was tired) it's very much like Uber/Lyft - more expensive when it's busy and less expensive when it's not as busy.

So mornings and end of the night is busy and expensive - mid-day not as much.

I HAVE used it for Rope Dropping AK and it's not as bad for 7 AM VS even 7.45 or 8 when Minnie Vans are running to not just AK, but MK and HS.

I love that you took it from the front of epcot! Minnie vans are great. We always say the best money we ever spent in disney was the Minnie van directly in front of MK at closing to the BC because we were too tired to walk to the busses. This is when they first rolled out so easy to get after MK fireworks. I would imagine there may be a wait now.

FYI, you can play around with the Lyft app from anywhere to check availability and pricing.

File this under "Interesting things a phone CM has said..."

I have a Nov trip I needed to shift by a day - coming a day earlier, leaving a day earlier. Room-only reservation, as always, and an AP discount. The same CR CL room was available, slight price difference, but we have a huge deposit down, so I should have been able to easily make this change for myself, but I was hitting a dead end online with a "please call to make this adjustment" message. So I called, and here is what the CM said: "Oh! Well, you can never make an online adjustment yourself with this reservation type." I responded, "Really? It's an annual passholder rate, I can't recall having an issue before." And she said - get this - "No, because it's a room only. You can never change a room-only reservation without calling. Now, if you want, I can make it a package and then even add the dining plan for you!" I asked if this was a a new thing, and she said no.

Anyone else heard this? I assume not, because I know I have changed dozens of room-only res myself, AP, other discounts, rack, and even one BB. Really trying not to be cynical here, I sure hope she was just mistaken, but...do phone CM get a commission for packages?

Interesting i called in to disney 2 weeks ago to ask a question regarding adding a 3rd adult. All have AP. She wanted to turn the room only into a package. I said i am not interested in dining and we have AP’s. She said she could still turn it into a package so that we get coupons. She would have to reverse the only deposit and then only$200.00 would be needed. I said no thank you.

I’ve changed room-only and room-only AP rates tons of times. So frustrating when there is an online glitch or you get weird info from a phone cm. Hope you were still able to get the dates you needed.

I have this exact issue with three of my recent reservations-two were bounce back and one is an AP rate. Prior to April of this year, I was able to modify each of my BB reservations myself online, but once April came I had to call in to modify. I have had to call multiple times to make changes and every single time I have been told exactly what they told you. For the bounce back, I can see them trying to push a package with tickets, but the same thing happened for the room I have booked with the AP rate which just makes no sense to me at all. Hope they fix this asap because it is annoying to have to call in for every change.

It happens when the CM has no clue what they are doing. Their favorite solution is to get you to move to a package, up-sell you a DDP or offer to add useless tickets that an AP does not need.

The BB bothers me a lot less, especially for CL - that is a super nice discount, so I am more willing to endure the nonsense. But an AP rate for CL? Those are pretty anemic., and I feel like I always see the room/date I want pop up during the middle of the work day - when I'm trying to earn money to feed the habit!
