Misc snack stuff - the whoopie pies were new to me and extremely dangerous.

I wound up switching our 1 BR outer building GF suite for 2 CR Atrium CL rooms in Nov after seeing the size of the pullout couch (full). I am footing the bill as a gift and am not giving my sister and niece the bedroom and sleeping on the couch as well - I have my limits after all! And the CR rooms were around the same total rate. Sigh. I will look forward to the next time I can snag one of those suites!!!!

Everything (including that room! ❤️) look amazing!! 🤩

Did they ever have Mickey waffles during breakfast? Lack of Mickey waffles is one my main (and few) CL gripes.
I never eat breakfast (yeah, I know, I waste money staying CL, it’s extremely stupid) but I’m 99% sure mom commented on them. So I’m tentatively going with yes.

And omg the room. It was truly gorgeous. The little details were beautiful.

Did you find the renovations distracting to your overall experience? I normally enjoy taking my time, listening to the piano player but I assume it's quite different now with the lobby refurbisment.

Not at all. There was noise one day for 2 hrs. It was loudish in the club but very muffled in the room (which is overlooking the lobby). Piano guy was still there and since we had no noise ever after 4, it was a nonissue.

Eta - let me add - if I could get a main building suite in Nov, I would. The only reason we are moving is space.

I just wanted to comment further on our trip. I was so, so happy I treated my mom. That suite was freakin’ glorious, and she was so happy. The unseasonal heat the week we went stunk - we wanted to walk and do more, but it was just overwhelming! The staff was lovely to her. We saw Irv once, but most others were new, with a few exceptions. They were still stellar! Money so, so well spent.

I am a total waste for CL since I never use it to the max (other than “line wine” and apps) but I cannot help loving it. I am an addict, darn it. I am hammering into savings now for some house renos so need to carefully target everything - I decided I’d just…rather do CL and cut out stuff like August sauna trips to MNSSHP to max it out. Torture! But DH is now intrigued by: GF CL, a child-free fireworks party at Epcot, Wagyu nigiri at Shiki Sai, the temptation of (🤞) After Hours and Tron, and a pass that ensures you can do what you want whenever (Premiere, obvs). So I snagged a BB rate for GF deluxe -not king- in late January. I mean, we’ll see if that man follows through, but there is beef involved. I will be happy to sample all listed regardless!

Hi, all. Debating Poly vs YC club level for a post-Xmas trip including New Years. We’ve stayed at and really like both, but leaning toward Poly given the New Year’s Eve set-up. Any other pros/cons I should be considering specific to that time of year? Thanks much.

Poly cl is not my personal jam, but for NYE? That is a no-brainer. Poly. I believe you will have private beach access/seating for mk fireworks. I know others have done this and will comment.

Well the Polynesian will have NYE Fireworks on Dec. 30th & 31st. But the Hawaii CL tends to be a mad house during this time of year. The YC CL tends to a little slower paced.

Which parks will you be spending the most time visiting as that makes the decision for us every time?

Oh good call. Dd didn’t like the sofa sleeper in the suite. Full beds are better.

Have done NYE at poly a few times. Love it! With everything so busy it’s nice to have food and drinks without waits.

Also they do 2 fireworks. A kiddie one at 6:30pm and another at midnight both 30 and 31.

Not only is there private seating on the beach but a separate CL section on the beach with a small bar set up. I think only 12/31 for the bar.

Surprisingly I did not find it any more crowded than other times in the lounge.

Watch hours of oasis pool. Learned to grab cocktails and bring to lounge. Dd loves margs and it was easy to do. So close and no limes compared to other spots on property.
