Trying to decide on a club level room for an upcoming precruise stay. Staying clear away from Poly after the worst Disney hotel stay ever. If you do animal kingdom lodge, are you able to see animals from the windows in the lounge or the hotel rooms in that category? I know the restaurants in that hotel are amazing and trying to decide if eating at lounge is good or going to either of the restaurants instead.
I'm also torn because I am debating if I should do Coronado springs and get a gran destino tower club level room. I heard their club lounge is amazing too. My family likes grand Floridian but it's expensive and this would considered a moderate category.
So I've stayed at both of these several times with past stays happening in the last year at both. I love AKL, when we stay here though and do CL, it's usually just a resort stay, it wouldn't be terribly covienient to come back to, to take advantage of the offerings. I don't find the lounge to be overly loud at all, you cannot see the animals but the view is still lovely looking out over the lobby, especially at holiday time. All CL rooms are 2 floors down from the lounge but come with Arusha savanna views (this is the main savanna). Rooms can be far from the lounge but the walk is nice because you can see the savanna on the way to the elevators.
GDT is very different, huge lounge but we've noticed a decrease in offerings over the past year and they also have the infamous micro wine pours at app time (they're literally 2oz, if that). Once again, not terribly convenient to get back to, no balcony if that's your thing. Also note, your room could be anywhere in the tower.
If you like GF, have you looked into BWI? This is my personal favorite CL. It's an easy walk to 2 parks so making it back for afternoon breaks is much more covienient. All rooms except the garden cottages and a couple deluxe rooms are on the same floor as the lounge.
