Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

No, it isn’t a thing & doesn’t work that way.
Why do people post made up things? This is how internet rumors get started. The next thing you know someone is posting it as a Disney "hack" on Facebook, right next to the one about Deluxe guests getting extras with the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass (see posters above). SMH.
Wish people would stick with facts.

No, It is not a real thing. Disney has a great legal team the reviews all offers carefully. Calling Guest Services (GS) will not help you get a personal discount. GS can't override the reservation system.

Dave
I assumed as much. I already got my paltry discounts today thanks haha. Just wish people wouldn't post misleading things.

Oh, there’s bound to be someone come by & say… “I call & get discount just because I called & asked”. Theres always someone who insists rules didn’t apply to them.

No member posted made up things? The rumors on Facebook don't need this thread to find things to make up. They do a good job all on their own.

You are a new member so you might be taking all posts literally on this thread. We tend to drift around "On Topic" and "Off Topic" while sharing facts, thoughts or great ideas or maybe wistfully thinking about things that have gone away.

Ah this was the Pilot program for Genie+ and LL (aka a Paid FastPass offering). CL Guests were the guinea pigs for the team that pitched Genie+ to Disney management. So you helped to justify that Guests would Pay for line access.
I never bought the extra paid FP OR Genie+ but my fellow resisters were few. :(

That being said I would possible try the new version as it is not going away and it seems more fair.

I know its probably a pipe dream but is anyone else secretly wishing there were benefits to staying Deluxe in terms of the new lightning lane announcement? It would be amazing if it were included especially since there are minimal discounts lately.
Are you referencing my comment? I think I worded it carefully as to not post "made up things". If you were I would like to add that this was not posted as fact but "secretly wishing". I wish people would take into consideration to the context of posts before posting negatively on them.

Then you really want to focus on your major park favorites early in you trip and focus on winding down as Easter approaches. The crowds build all week and by Saturday, April 19th it will be people soup in the MK.

Dave
This is an excellent idea if I go the split stay route. Getting something decent at 7 months will probably also be easier on the front end of the week and not the back closer to Easter. A nice MK/AK split would be great to front load MK then can do the near parks from the AK base.

Didn't know whether to ask this here or the AK thread or the DVC thread but I managed to snag a week in an AKV concierge studio for next April break. Never have stayed concierge in Disney before. I piecemealed it day by day so I can have MS combine them in any variation. My question is, is it too much? It's costing me a lot of points obviously which hurts a bit lol but I do plan on making next April a slower trip with more leisure time at the resort.

Some things to consider is we really like split stays so if there was 7 month availability we could switch the first or second half of the trip. We do eat out on property a lot but also don't NEED to be eating out as much as we do when we're there. Even if we wanted to do breakfast and either lunch or dinner in the club is it doable with parks? I just have no idea how "worth it" a whole week is. One other thing my kid has allergies and I can see that they are very accommodating but how is Kilimanjaro club specifically with allergy food? Thanks for any opinions as I'd like to have MS combine the reservations sometime soon!
I wanted to chime in with the allergy question. I have a gluten allergy & reached out to Signature Services via email. I received a phone call from Signature Services & they reached out to Poly. I then received a phone call from Chef Rosie @ Poly. They answered all of my questions.

Here's the email: disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com

I get your point, but the reason we were fans in my house was that there were no tiers and no park restrictions, if memory serves. That said, there are also two of us, and my husband rarely visits with me, so it is a heck of a lot cheaper for us to throw money at Disney problems. I agree that it's unlikely to manifest again, but hey, I never underestimate Disney's desire to grab cash....

Honestly, my biggest concern about the new system is whether resort guests with APs will get screwed with a 3 vs 7 day booking period. I don't care about the park reservations all that much, but this would make me super upset. I kind of think the resort guest status will take precedence, but I guess we'll see. It will definitely influence whether I renew my AP.

As long as you have make your park reservations then your 'on site" resort stay status supersedes other qualifiers such as ticket type. This means that AP holders with a valid resort stay will be able to start planning at 7 AM on the 7-day before your visit.

The new system also breaks a few things; the 120 minute rule and LL reservation stacking. We will have to see how this new Lightning Lane Multi Pass (what a unfriendly name) works in the parks.

I saw a few people post that they called, and APs are stuck with the 3-day booking - but of course, they are getting it from phone CMs, so grain of salt an all. The approach you describe makes more sense, but I'm biased! We'll be there mid-August, so it should be...interesting.

Sometimes I think it’s nice to do CL as part of a split day if possible. We tried it out for the first time like that a few years ago before COVID. We did a monorail resort and went harder on parks and some big ADR’s that we wanted to eat at, then did CL at an EP resort for the second half and took it much easier and tried to swim and enjoy hotel more. It can be a nice treat at the end of a trip and having the lounge on checkout day can be a plus. I’ve also found CL nice during the heat of summer, as well as at crowded Christmas time.
I agree! I like to do a split with one resort CL for our longer summer trips. We did do CL for both resorts last year and while lovely, we did miss doing some favorite ADRs. We went back to our normal CL second half split this recent trip and it was much better. We also get tired of big meals by the end so just do some light snacking so it really works out.

Yes, that is what guests are being told by some sources; phone and chat.

However that's not how Park Reservations work for AP holders that are staying on site since they can make lenght of stay Park Reservations up to 14 days. And 2 very reliable sources are indicating the LLMPs will work the same way for onsite guests with an AP.

Scott Gustin is usually accurate in his reporting. He states APs will be included in the 7-day window.

There is absolutely no reason for them to penalize anyone for being an onsite guest/AP holder. I'm cynical and I would not worry about this.

Of course there's not. But AP holders (even out of state ones) with WDW resort reservations still have to make park reservations. Multiple people stated that they called and were told the 3-day period applies to all AP holders, regardless of lodging arrangements. Obviously, this is phone CMs, but there were several reports. So I worried ;).

Thanks - I'm not on X and it is hard to see comments/replies unless you use a 3rd party app. I agree that Scott Gustin's reporting is trustworthy, so this makes me extremely optimistic.

No problem! I have to admit I read all over the internet after the announcement, but his posts and replies gave me the most information about the new system. I had to scroll through and find what he said about APs again because I remembered reading it on the 25th and being relieved!

Is this actually a thing? You can just call and ask for a personal discount? If so, I'm pretty annoyed because I've wasted boat loads of money over the years. I never thought to ask for something that wasn't shown on the booking page.
Actually I have seen people ask if there’s a PIN code attached to their name? Disney does randomly send out PIN codes and if if it goes to an old email you wouldn’t know. Earlier this year a few posted getting pins so it’s still a thing.

So it’s not likely but possible.

I miss those. I haven't gotten one in at least six years.
