Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I only checked GF snd CR, but discounts for Nov/Dec seem to apply to some CL rooms, on my dates anyways. Not great overall for my trip (spans a weekend, mid-Nov), they don’t apply to weekend dates although I arrive Thurs. I checked Dec 6 weekend and saw nothing, though.

UH OH if not in the USA you don't get to make reservations until you are in the states???? Don't you live in Canada? This is really not good CS.

I know lots of dissers are from outside of the states. This latest announcement sucks for many.

CL "might" be able to book for you perhaps if you arrive in the states and busy traveling? That would make CL worth it for some.?
My gf lives in Canada, I’m in the states though so we won’t have any issues.

I have no idea why they’re doing it this way though, it really does stink for international guests. Sure you could probably get away with using a VPN but you shouldn’t have to.

I do wonder if CL can book though. That might be something to ask. I was going to call our TA to see if she knew anything more about it but she’s on vacation atm.

I know its probably a pipe dream but is anyone else secretly wishing there were benefits to staying Deluxe in terms of the new lightning lane announcement? It would be amazing if it were included especially since there are minimal discounts lately.
I just got on here to see if there was any info floating around. I don't know about getting anything for free anymore...but before G+, with the FP+ system, club level guests were able to purchase 3 extra Fastpasses each day. I would LOVE to see something like this now that they will have LLMP ...maybe a way to purchase extra LLs?

Didn't know whether to ask this here or the AK thread or the DVC thread but I managed to snag a week in an AKV concierge studio for next April break. Never have stayed concierge in Disney before. I piecemealed it day by day so I can have MS combine them in any variation. My question is, is it too much? It's costing me a lot of points obviously which hurts a bit lol but I do plan on making next April a slower trip with more leisure time at the resort.

Some things to consider is we really like split stays so if there was 7 month availability we could switch the first or second half of the trip. We do eat out on property a lot but also don't NEED to be eating out as much as we do when we're there. Even if we wanted to do breakfast and either lunch or dinner in the club is it doable with parks? I just have no idea how "worth it" a whole week is. One other thing my kid has allergies and I can see that they are very accommodating but how is Kilimanjaro club specifically with allergy food? Thanks for any opinions as I'd like to have MS combine the reservations sometime soon!

It depends on your park touring style. Breakfast service doesn’t start til 7 am. Depending on park hours, you may have to choose between breakfast & rope dropping & early entry. Evening appetizers are from 5-7, you have to plan your day to be back at the resort then.

And the afternoon is really just snacks, no meal substitutes.

My opinion of “worth it” is that you won’t truly know until you try it. It’s so subjective and we all value things differently and enjoy WDW differently. The setup for your trip sounds like a perfect basis to try it, but only you can answer if it’s worth the points compared to the alternatives. Annoying non-answer, I know.

I am in the camp of anything is worth trying once. And fair warning, this maybe isn’t the best thread for a full range of opinions. 😇

We did an April spring break week AKL trip years ago. The parks were bonkers crowded (this was either before or after Easter, so peak week) - I’ll go to Disney anytime but that was easily my least favorite time and I was glad to get back to the peaceful AKL confines each day.

Hopefully @mrsap and others with allergy experience can chime in on your allergy concerns.

I played around with the new discounts today. It looks like CL discount is about
10% even though I did not see this disclosed on the offer itself. I'm looking around and about 12/15-12/23. Rates are pretty shocking.
Agree, the rates are hard to stomach. I have foregone CL on several trips this year and likely won't do it again for my solo trips - I knew I would want to be CL at Xmas because I'm with family the whole time. But I'm there over a weekend and paying rack rate those days, and OUCH. My mom and sister both wanted GF, so that's not helping!! I had hoped if I started my booking on a Thursday, the discount (cruddy as it is) would be honored for my whole stay, but nope. So I decided to stay AKL resort view on my arrival day (excellent discount) and hit Boma. Those xmas party trips are tough, rates-wise.

It comes back to my niece again, though - we are fast approaching a few years that are likely going to be challenging, and I want to enjoy some time with her before those kick in. In 2 years or so, I may purposefully stay one resort over, haha.

In terms of "worth it" from a monetary perspective, it depends on whether your party drinks alcohol and how much you can take advantage of the lounge and offerings. I think dinner is easier (mealwise) than breakfast, but as @GADisneyDad14 said, that depends on your touring style; I'm a habitual rope dropper, and it can be hard to cram in coffee on very early days, especially if you are using Disney transportation. If you intend to spend a lot of time relaxing at the resort, you may well find it worthwhile just to have a private area to get away from the din (some of the din, anyways, because the lounge may also be packed at certain times of day in April). I have started to stay non-CL more recently, but I still find value during party season - August/Sept because if it's miserable outside with heat and rain, I like to hang in the lounge, and Nov/Dec because - well, the holidays. A split stay might be a good way to try it out.

Can't answer allergy Qs :).

Ah this was the Pilot program for Genie+ and LL (aka a Paid FastPass offering). CL Guests were the guinea pigs for the team that pitched Genie+ to Disney management. So you helped to justify that Guests would Pay for line access. Please don't expect this type of feature to return as a CL perk.

Thanks and yes I know all subjective but really hard to decide if going all in on CL for a week is the way to do it for the first time. As for rope drop I only do it when staying at monorail or Crescent Lake resort so probably wouldn't from AK. I think for sure we would partake in breakfast and then see how the snacks/dinner go. When we're on the monorail or BC it's so easy to just say hey lemme get back to the room just to chill out a bit but I know that's not really the case with AKV. As for alcohol I mean...me and my wife would probably drink enough to get close to "retail value" of drinks at a Disney bar but nothing over the top. I'm thinking of splitting my reservation into either 3 and 4 or 4 and 3 and then seeing what's up come 7 months. I do hate crowds and this is a bad time to go I know but ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes lol.

Did you check your dates vs when Easter is in 2025? Easter is on April 20th in 2025. As @GADisneyDad14 posted above April and Easter make for a packed park experiences.

We were at GF in Sago last week, and we never had neighbors
on either side. I would say that GF was almost peaceful! If the people on this Club Level thread think the prices are too high -- yikes, that is saying something. I also wonder if
you called and spoke with guest services about the offer not stating that CLs were at a reduced rate if you could wrangle a better discount.

We're staying the week leading up to but not including Easter. It's going to be packed for sure but we're beholden to the school schedule

Also I'm sure this info is somewhere in these 2000 pages but for those of you that stay in many different CLs, does Kilimanjaro rank high in your opinions?

Then you really want to focus on your major park favorites early in you trip and focus on winding down as Easter approaches. The crowds build all week and by Saturday, April 19th it will be people soup in the MK.

Sometimes I think it’s nice to do CL as part of a split day if possible. We tried it out for the first time like that a few years ago before COVID. We did a monorail resort and went harder on parks and some big ADR’s that we wanted to eat at, then did CL at an EP resort for the second half and took it much easier and tried to swim and enjoy hotel more. It can be a nice treat at the end of a trip and having the lounge on checkout day can be a plus. I’ve also found CL nice during the heat of summer, as well as at crowded Christmas time.

Is this actually a thing? You can just call and ask for a personal discount? If so, I'm pretty annoyed because I've wasted boat loads of money over the years. I never thought to ask for something that wasn't shown on the booking page.

No, It is not a real thing. Disney has a great legal team the reviews all offers carefully. Calling Guest Services (GS) will not help you get a personal discount. GS can't override the reservation system.

Here is the link: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/fall-holiday-2024-room-offer/ there is no more or less available.
