Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I received a call from SS early this week too for a December 1 arrival. She said they start making calls 80 days out..and it was 80 days out!
I did read somewhere that the BWI chef is gone but the food being brought in is good. Apparently it was deemed a fire hazard to be cooking in the CL room. Honestly I always wondered how that worked. Several years ago the ventilation system wasn't as good as it is now and the CL hallway always smelled strongly of food. I remember my clothes smelling after sitting in the lounge..to the point that I'd hang them outside to air them out. Thankfully that's no longer the case.

Yeah, I just hadn’t gotten a call from then for any of my CL stats post-Covid, only BWI ever called me to welcome me about a week prior, but never DSS.

I read the stuff about the chef, it makes me sad but I understand, I just wish I could text my friend and be like “find out if they’re doing anything about this during the reno!” It’s such a small space though, I can see why they wouldn’t want someone cooking in there. Sadly BWI isn’t one of my stays any time soon to try it out.

I love when I hear Joe’s voice calling me from the Innkeepers Club before my trip. I did have a call today from DSS about my December trip. They were calling to let me know they were available to help with booking my dining and anything else I needed. I never use them, but it was nice to hear from them.

So sad I won’t be at BWI this trip, I would get a chance to actually meet you in person. WL is right up my sisters street, staying there 5-10, will miss BWI CL but it’ll be fun to try something new.

That is where we stayed Christmas 2017 as a family, our second trip ever, and I agree it is lovely! I actually think it’s the most perfect place to stay at Christmas, just feels right. My sister has a degree in wilderness leadership, spends her life in the mountains doing all the outdoor stuff, and she just can’t wait to go. I know it won’t let her down!

We are here at YC now, for apps tonight the chef came to talk to my daughter. He gave her two options and she chose a rice and veggie/tofu stir fry. I didn’t taste it but she loved it and it smelled delish.

Just booked 2 nights at Poly CL to attend Xmas party in mid-Nov. - less than 2 weeks after YC CL with DH. My reasoning: I am on the East Coast for a work trip that week and didn’t want to fly home to Cali and then back to FL 3 days later - and there is a nonstop flight to MCO.

I think I have a problem…

12/25 and 12/26 at AKL Club level, has anyone experienced this? We might go to mass in the Contemporary on Christmas morning, might go to AK park on 26th, any ideas for fun and food?

We just returned a couple of weeks ago from AKL. We didn't stay CL. Jiko was our favorite meal of this trip. And possibly my favorite meal on Disney property!

We are down to 22 days for our first CL stay! We'll be at GDT 10/14-10/18. This will be our 3rd trip this year. We are wanting to add another BWI stay in January to round out our AP's. I'm hoping DH gets spoiled w/ CL this trip so that I don't have to twist his arm too hard for January. I'm hoping these next 3 weeks fly by!

Today I accepted a new position with a pretty significant salary increase - the very first thing I did was call and upgrade our honeymoon split stay to club level!
We will now be staying 6 nights at the Wilderness Lodge Old Faithful Club, followed by 7 nights at the Yacht Club Regatta Club!

Maybe I've missed it, but has AKL CL always advertised a speciality drink like that? Ignoring the fact that the specific drink sounds pretty dreadful (in my opinion), seems like a nice touch to have a special/unique seasonal offering like that. I've often wished more CLs would do something similar.

I wouldn't drink it but it sounds like a very Disney concoction in terms of sugar

I'm surprised you didn't mention the *2 alcoholic beverages per guest per valid ID that is printed on the poster.

They didn’t offer one when I stayed there in 2017. I definitely would have passed on that one, though!
