Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Bumping this question from @rum0007 (did not see an answer)—decision to be made between T CL Poly vs. H CL Poly vs. GF!
I physically stopped by Tonga a few days ago to check for room availability and spoke to a CM. Definitely no room service this month. They don't know when or if it ever returns.

As to that, it’s gotten a lot better since they dropped some of the rooms

The issue we had was the size of one group there at one time which can be a major impact

There was a family of 20 or so there. Several rooms. The lounge was the only place they could congregate together so they’d stay in there all day playing games and hanging out. 20 dining at once is a big impact on the lounge seating when they all show up together. The same number of guests staying in the CL but showing up at various times wouldn’t have the same impact as 20 at once
This happened to us once at BWI. Multi generations staying in the big suite, but younger members scattered through the resort. They all met up in the lounge. The grandmother would come with the tray from the coffee maker in order to take food back to the suite. Great for them, annoying for other lounge users.

Thanks, hope you enjoy!! The virtual queues are so stressful. I remember when I got the star wars one I was shaking lol.

Thanks. Still can't decide if I could ride this 🤣
If it was me, I would take meclizine the night before riding. It's once per day dosing. Bonine or non-drowsy Dramamine.

I echo what Sarah said. Crowds are pretty high in the lounge at times. Sometimes tables are hard to come by, but we have always managed to get one. We have managed to be there right at 5 the last two nights because we were refreshing in the afternoon and it was rather empty. About 5:05, people started streaming in but we left for the parks again by 5:15, so not sure how crowds got after that. Don’t remember as many young children in the CL in years past, but I certainly understand the convenience of CL for those families.

I took a bonine about an hour before riding, just like I do before flying. I’ve never taken one before riding any rides before but thought it might be necessary for this one. I have a $ILL for it again later today. Now that I know what to expect, I probably won’t take the bonine again.

Thanks. I'm such a baby! I will ride at least once, I will buy a LL if I can't get a boarding group.

I'm careful now: I've never been the same since Mission Space Orange.

Does anyone have an update on the Tonga Lounge? I saw that guests in the Tonga Suites can access the CL lounge in the Hawaii building, just as before, but is the Tonga Lounge also offering food throughout the day? I know they have not brought back room service. Just trying to see what, if any, the added benefits are of staying in a suite versus staying in a Hawaii CL room (other than the extra square footage). Thanks!

Long overdue answer. :) I stayed in suite 27, Tonga, at the end of March. There was food out in the lounge, but not hot items. Beer, wine, and spirits available in the evening. We did a mixture of the two lounges.

Mark was wonderful and we had a great time. Compared to stays in Hawaii, we got a lot more attention both at check-in and throughout our stay since there’s one concierge at all times for such a small number of rooms.

Room 27 specifically (1BR suite—very much a unicorn) is incredible. Large balcony with castle view and the largest dressing room I’ve ever seen in a hotel room. It’s also right next to the lounge.

@Sarahslay , I thought of you tonight. I read on another thread that you were getting cranky uninformed cms on the phone. Well I just called and had 2 of the nicest people ever. The first couldn't help me and transfered me, but she was lovely. The 2nd person I got was even nicer and even went above and put notes in to waive any fees if I have any problems. Sorry you didn't get the customer service I got.

We were there 2 weeks ago and yes, full service every day. I couldn't tell if they changed the sheets sometime mid-week or not, but everything was always crisp! Ample towels, tidied up the bathroom counter, garbage taken - everything we have gotten before COVID (I guess except night turndown). Not to sound spoiled, but it is so nice to return to the room after a hot park day and everything is fresh, clean and beds nicely made - I have always liked this when we travel.

That’s great to hear. I don’t mind if they don’t change the sheets during my stay, I just like to come back to a crispy, neat bed at the end of the day as well. I can never make my bed as well at home, so that is definitely a treat of staying at a hotel and something I certainly missed during COVID stays. Thanks for the reply :)
We like to see the beds made yet promptly mess them up upon our return to the room😅

What I enjoy is the removal of the garbage! Our 1st Covid trips the stuff piled up!

Hands down I totally miss turndown. More towels, chocolates, garbage and glassware removed ? Yes please.

When staying cl the dishes and glasses add up in the room. We often run stuff to the room. Then you look and there are dishes and glasses everywhere! I guess it depends on resort and room location but it’s hard to take the stuff back. You’re either heading to a park or falling asleep.

I was told at CR I could leave them by my door but I just could not get myself to do so.

Again I am still griping my the lack of ceramic coffee cups and glassware in the rooms. I stayed in a room near DC last week and this weekend in The Thousand Islands for a wedding. TI had wine glasses, water glasses and a wine opener in the room.

Oh GOTG fans? The 1st song of the reception ? It was September! One the the songs from the ride! Dd and I jumped up and looked for each other and ran to the dance floor 😂

She is getting married next September and “mom” has requested a few of the GOTG songs to be played! It was so fun remembering the ride while you danced!!!

Not to get too complicated here. Myself, my wife, a daughter (2) are staying in the Atrium club in October. My parents will also be in Disney part of the trip but will be staying at a different resort.

Think it would be an issue to bring them up to just our room and not the lounge to babysit the little one after she goes to bed 1 or 2 nights? Anyone have experience with this?

I don’t know what the chances are, but best chances are probably highest around 1 month before your dates when people cancel packages. I don’t know about availability at YC or BW, but I did manage to secure a few nights at the Atrium Club the Disney+ discount.
Keep checking. Good luck.
I have a YC CL room under that offer, but booked right away. At least you know they were available, someone may cancel and you can grab. Keep checking!

I am hoping for an opening at YC for our September trip and have been stalking the website everyday. Just thinking, is it worth checking multiple times a day? Anyone know if the room availability is updated in real time?

I see the room available at rack rate but it’s unavailable when I search with the discount. I would think as it gets closer to the date maybe more rooms would be added if they are not selling at the normal rate?

I do the same. It's exhausting checking constantly lol. I'm hoping for YC too for August. I'm currently booked at BWI in a regular room.

I called yesterday for help and the CM was so clueless. After telling me no CL rooms were available she was trying to get me to book the regular room, saying “the rooms look exactly the same, I’m not sure what the difference is” I said it was access to the lounge and she had no idea what I was talking about.

I was actually tempted to ask for a manager after that but couldn’t bring myself to do it.
