Did they tell you what the new price would be? I am curious how they are discounting to regular rooms when the CL rate was originally paid.

it was rack rate about 720 a night including taxes for 6 nights. nothing beyond the reduction from club level pricing to regular pricing. just seems to me the least they could do was guarantee the fifth floor room for us. At least it was better then what was initially offered for our thanksgiving trip which was stay on the fifth floor and pay club level rates with no club level. I know the WV WC rooms were available with a discount for around $430 a night before taxes before they were all booked. Even offering a small discount rate would have been nice especially since we have had this booked for almost year. oh well even a little pixie dust would have gone a long way

So I guess I am asking how much was the upcharge per night for CL. Rack rate was 720night while CL was X/night....

When I booked May of 2020
Weekday was 844
Weekend 857
This is before tax. With tax the deposit was $949.50
So roughly $1406 was the upcharge for 6 nights June 7 to 13 for club level. A little over 200 a night for two people

Sorry completely OT but I dont know if anything is on topic on this thread anymore. Just checked in at BVC and feeling like I should go buy a lottery ticket. We got upgraded to a 1 bedroom and zero wait for SAB!!!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful mother's day weekend

If you had a choice between Club Level at Grand Floridian or Polynesian, which one would you do? What if I had someone in the group that needed a scooter?

If you had a choice between Grand Floridian Main Building Club Level or Outer Building Club Level, which one would you do?

I am sure I am biased, but I would choose Main Building - Royal Palm Club - over any other choice. We traveled with large family and they insured my 90 year old MIL would be on the 4th floor (same level as club) so she didn't have to do the stairs or elevator.

BUT - I have not stayed at Poly club level - only Poly regular. Still love GF over Poly ;-)

Thank you for the response. We are looking at traveling with my 80 year old mom who is still recovering from back surgery which is why I asked about the scooter.

I don't know the layout of the Club for the Poly. However, if you are in the MAIN BUILDING at Grand Floridian and on the 4th Floor - you can go from room to club without using the elevator. I know room location isn't a guarantee, but the room assigners try to work with you.

So, my recommendation stands for GF - Main Building - with a request for a room on the 4th floor.

GF main building. I preferred the food there over Poly and Poly had more limited selections.

I do those 3 often.
Again all 3. Why?

Price can vary with AP discount or availability for a last minute trip.

I’ll spend more for a dh trip vs a dd trip. Unless it’s a special occasion .

Dd and I like poly for pog , pineapple and caramel.
SL @ gf for all the same food and easier pool access in the warmer months bs RPC.

Rpc at Gf for cooler months for band/piano listening.

We love the addition of soup at gf the last few years. Poly has salad/ lettuce wraps supplies midday. We are at hotel midday so these 2 hotels better for us vs others.

If cl reopens I would book rpc, poly tpv, poly gv, SL in that order BASED on price.

I kinda weigh it out. Sometimes one just is better?

Cant wait for cl to be back ❤

Came back to add TPV at poly is my fav. I sacrifice food for view at times. Poly 2nd floor convenient , gf rpc 4Th, sl 1st

Grand vs Poly probably comes down to preference. I love the Poly. The Hawaiian theming is fun and the view from the lounge is great. However, we have stayed in Royal Palm (GF Main) more. Not sure if they will bring them back, but the band and pianist add a level of ambience that‘s not easily matched elsewhere. So for a “high end“ experience, it’s probably Grand. Both have great CMs.

We find the Main building leaps and bounds above Sugarloaf Outer Bldg (It’s also priced this way). SL is just too crowded and they run out of food relatively often when busy. Just feels like they shoved a lounge inside the first floor of a normal outer building -which they basically did. I would choose most CLs over Sugarloaf.

I have never stayed CL @ Poly, but I love, love, LOVE RPC at Grand Floridian. The Main Building is beautiful and if you are on the same floor as the lounge, it is super convenient!

We transferred from the Rivera to Yacht yesterday. We are on the 5th floor overlooking SAB and the boat dock. My magic band last nite stopped working for the room. Got the dreaded red light. lol! Anyway when she was fixing the band i asked when they are bringing back club level. She said the rumor is in the fall. I asked before or after the anniversary. She said all they know is sometime this fall. Hope this news helps someone somehow. And SAB did not look crowded also yesterday at around 1.

I'm glad to hear anything on club level but I hope its a little earlier, we're booked Poly club level in August. I'm starting to think I may need a back up plan.

Oi, I did a thing yesterday and booked BWI for the last week of September in to October (knowing I can't go to MK or Epcot on Oct. 1, HS it is! No biggie). It's my first solo trip since right after the opening, and I'm sooooooooo hoping the rumor and CM at YC are right about CL coming back and I can get Innkeepers club *fingers crossed*! I was cleaning out my office today and found the note from my cottage room I got during my Jan. 2020 stay, and honestly started to tear up a bit. So now all I need to make that trip perfect is to get a ticket to Boo Bash and for CL to come back in time! I'm obviously not asking for much lol
