Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Has anyone done any of the behind the scenes tours? I have always wanted to do this and considering for the fall trip if they have opened back up. Just looking advice on the ones you enjoyed or didn't.

Thanks!

The only one I’ve ever done was Behind the Seeds but I enjoyed every minute of it. I finally did it on a whim while exiting Living with the Land because the last tour for the day was starting in like 5 minutes and I had nothing else to do. Our guide was one of the grad students that works there and it was just myself and an empty nester couple so we got to ask a lot of questions. Truly a “hidden” gem and well worth the meager price.

And they always give you a baggie of sliced cucumbers grown there to enjoy...I still dream about how delicious they were, so fresh!

Note to self if I ever book this one - tell them in advance "no snacks please". I only eat cucumbers if they're pickled. Otherwise they taste too weird for me. :P

My kids want to do the tour. We missed it last time we went. They love living with the land lol.

Even as a kid it was my favorite ride at Epcot (though back then it was Listen to the Land)...I’ve always been a nerd lol.

Just noting for the sake of date stamping that construction walls went up next to the Hawaii entrances in the last week or so.

I love the look of the new rooms, but a little sad we never got a proper goodbye to the rooms/longhouse that pretty much started our Disney travels and was home for many of our trips. I acknowledge how silly/ridiculous that sounds!

Time for new memories in fresh rooms (and hopefully a new lounge?!?!) someday soon!

My son is a need too😆😉 walking through AK paths takes hours with him because he has to read each and every display. 😆 my other son is done in minutes though.

I think I'm booking here for my summer trip. I love the new rooms. Not sure where I want to be. Hawaii was perfect! Love being close to TTC, the boat and grand ceremonial house.

I understand what you mean. The old rooms will always be special to me even though I’m looking forward to the new ones. That’s where we fell in love with the resort.

If there’s a new lounge and they put Moana stuff in there too I am praying they keep Hei Hei away from the liquor!

Not silly at all to be sad about the changes! I'm sad too, but that sadness is overshadowed at the moment by the fact that CL is still closed!!! Our first trip without CL last summer was sort of fun having our snacks/drinks in the room. But our second trip in November was to the point where it was kind of annoying to not be able to stop in the lounge. Now we're headed on our third trip soon and I'm not going to lie - I keep checking the site several times a day to see if CL pops back up!

Has anyone been to Topolinos for breakfast? Thoughts? I have a Chef Mickey’s we are definitely doing. Is it worth it doing this one too? My kids will only eat the plain stuff so they won't be eating the nicer options. I made it because I know it's hard to get so thinking I should keep it.

We have and we enjoyed it. In fact my 15 yo DD has requested (or probably more accurately sweetly demanded) it for our next trip as well. The food is delicious and the characters are cute. We strongly prefer it to Chef Mickey’s. I would have your kids take a look at the menu and see if anything appeals to them as you are correct it is less plain fare. My DD had the sour cream waffles and my DS (a very picky 20 yo 😂) had the two eggs breakfast. I could see either appealing to a pickier eater. DH and I had the quiche and it was so good. The breakfast potatoes and the pastries were also standouts.

I'm going to ask here since you guys are nice😆 I think if ask on the forum I will. E directed to one of the stickies. So for the 1:00 RTR boarding group/virtual queue, it says you must be in the park. If I went to HS then went to say Topolinos at noon, how would they know we weren't physically in HS? Does the ap really know where you are and that closely? I know when I try to join a restaurant wait list it tells me I'm too far. Is RTR worth riding more then once? I accidentally canceled the wrong Topolinos🤦‍♀️

You don’t have to be inside DHS at 1pm, you (and anyone else in your group) just need to have used your park admission to enter DHS at some point before then. Once you enter the park, you can leave and try for a 1pm Boarding Group from anywhere.

Thank you!! We will check in HS then head to our adr. I managed to snag a late Savi's to coincide with our Oga's. I actually wish we booked a different park that day (have it the day before too) but everything is booked😔 at least I can go to Topolinos, but Uber since I'm terrified of the Skyliner :rotfl2:

ROTR is worth riding more than once, but it has to be on different days, you can't get it twice on one day, so you can't get the 7am boarding group and the 1pm boarding group. So to ride it twice, you need to have HS park passes on 2 days.

They wont know if you don't have a MB with you, but if you do they always know where you are. I'm sure the new app will be able to track you even better, unless you turn off location but then it probably won't work as well.
