Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I am having such a conundrum about May...we're rapidly approaching the point at which I need to come up with a solo plan if gf can't come and I'm not sure how many days I should cut down to for my split. 5 at GF and 5 at YC or 4 + 4. My longest solo trip has only been 6 days and I'm kinda worried about staying so long. Also freaking out about dates because I want to definitely be at the GF on my birthday but that's Memorial Day weekend...I'm not a stranger to holiday weekend trips but idk about MK crowds then.
😔 sorry you still don't know if she can come. I say do 4 and 4. It depends on how you felt on your 6 day solo trip. I hope you end up with a nice surprise and have company ❤

I posted this on the GF thread but I know we have a lot of Enchanted Rose fans here so I’d love your input as well:

What are everyone’s favorite cocktails from Enchanted Rose? I have been a few times and always got the Island Rose. I liked it but want to branch out to try something new on our upcoming trip. What should I try?

Morning all! We are at UO right now but I always carry these with me wherever I go. I had 3 pairs but I'm on my last ones. CL open soon! It's things like this that I miss the most about CL.

Have never been to Universal, but thinking about a quick trip the end of April for my niece's cheer competition. It's weird to think about going to Orlando and not being at Disney....lol. Hope you're having a great time :goodvibes.

I hope CL is back by the fall. If Universal can make it work I don't see why Disney can't.

Hi Maxie :wave2:

I've often thought the same thing.....not sure why Disney can't figure out a way to bring CL back when other hotels/resorts are doing it :confused3.

I love the CL chips!

Me too! Chips and the sugar cookies are my downfall ::yes::.

I would do 4+4 as that would give you plenty of time to enjoy each resort, as GADisneyDad said. With that said, I hope your gf is able to join you for the 10 days :).

But 4+4 sounds nice. Just enough time at each resort but not too much time at WDW overall for it to get old, IMO.

:thumbsup2

Hi all! We are new to CL and have a CL reservation for April 30th. Now I'm reading that CL is actually closed...? I'm confused. Is CL open? Or, will it be open? What happens to the extra points I paid (DVC) for a CL reservation? I'm getting ready to call DVC this afternoon but was hoping someone had a concrete answer about if it's open or closed. Trying not to be heartbroken over here. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it is not open at this time. You are able to book CL as a DVC member, however, if by the time your trip comes and CL is still not available, they will refund you the points difference that you paid for club level. Sorry about that.

Overall very happy with this. Would have preferred a bit darker tone, but really appreciate the unique design, especially given concerns of a move toward more generic room design.

Yeah, that was my only one tiny thought was the dark tends to hide things over time better than lighter materials, but I guess no one can accuse the Poly rooms of being dark ever again!

Eg, I personally like the dark lava stone they used in the villa bathrooms vs the light ones on the backsplash here.

But I agree, overall I really like it.

Just catching up and saying HI!! :wave2: ...
So many of us are all missing CL..and waiting for any word on when it might come back..we too booked CL for the 50th before it became unavailable...(maybe at 499 days...lol..:rolleyes1:littleangel:) and I know I am not alone in that...lol....
Thanks to those who have popped in and shared pictures...gotta love Disney CL memory lane with especially with photos...:goodvibes

That beautiful machine is one of the main reasons I love CL at AKL so much!

We stayed in a 6th floor DVC CL Studio for a week in January and I stared longingly at that machine every time I walked by and saw how lonely and without purpose it looked!!! I may have shed a tear every morning drinking the in-room coffee I made myself.

We just decided to take a quick trip later this month for the flower and garden festival, this would have been the perfect time to try club level at Gran Destino tower, I am a bit salty over the whole thing. We are staying at the Swan (or maybe the Dolphin I really have no idea what we booked). At least I will be able to walk to Epcot.

sidecar is my jam!

I'm headed down (not to a resort) solo for 15 nights to work on my parent's old home. It'll be lonely but there is plenty to keep me occupied. If I get itchy, need a recharge, or need to see other humans I'll hop over to Disney. May even book a night or two at the last moment just to relax but it is spring break and things looked full. I know I'll be lonely only at the start, I have my family at my side at all times through texting and video conferencing.

I think your trip will keep you occupied. Make a plan, not that you have to stick to it, but it will help guide you. Disney Springs shopping can take up an entire day all on its own, and you know you'll go back for something you saw another day ;)

I’m an introvert, I just fool people with how social I can get...I just have a battery that drains fast, lol. But I don't mind spending time alone and enjoy my solo trips. My sole complaint about that 6 day trip was the resort (POFQ was pretty but had 1 too many dealbreakers for me :duck:) ! Funny enough that trip was my first time going to Disney Springs ever (not even in the old incarnations) and I was surprised by how much I loved it. I thought it would just be a glorified outdoor "lifestyle center" of the sort we had when I lived in AZ but I really enjoyed it and went quite a few times...the easy access helped, at least when it wasn't storming and the boat actually ran. We were planning on hitting it during weekdays though, even fully vaccinated I feel uncomfortable with some of what I've seen of that place on the weekends.

Easy for me to spend your money, but I say go for as long as you can. Make up for lost time. :goodvibes

Ha! Well, we'll spend enough in October if this ends up being the plan for May. I have the Disney shakes, I swear!

I do too. Hopefully we get it together enough down here that the border can open safely.

The more of you say 4+4 the more I agree. I think if it's 8 I won't feel too lonely...it's different when I plan a trip to be solo from the start rather than it being the booby prize. :( But I hope things will turn out ok. Thanks again everyone.
