We are here at AKL now. The CMs are really doing a nice job keeping things clean. We considered making our way home early, but figured WDW is doing everything right and we’re having a good time. This is my retirement celebration trip and I am enjoying myself. DH calls himself my voluntary Disney hostage because this isn’t really his thing. But, we are relaxing more and taking things easy; it’s really nice. We are both very healthy adults with no underlying health conditions. When we return, we won’t go visit my elderly parents and others until we’re confident we have not brought it home. I’m trying to be responsible. This is a weird situation.

I was curious how they were going to handle buffet type meals and services at Disney, especially club level. What are you seeing as changes around the food?

No real changes on food service at the Club. They are wiping/cleaning promptly, often and thoroughly. Plenty of tongs and other serving pieces are out.

I see that WDW theme parks are closing at the end of the day Sunday. The hotels will remain open. We’ve not received a notification directly. I’m just monitoring the news.

We were supposed to be there next Wed - Sat for my son's 7th birthday. I'm heartbroken and not sure how I will deliver the news...this was in lieu of having a party which is probably not a good idea now anyways. Safety first though.

No I called, with our dates we would only have three park days when they reopen. Still on hold.

I was able to move my reservation to May. They are putting a note on my reservation to see if Disney will waive the new balance since our trip was paid in full

Glad you got something. I am hold now. Trying to change to April 1-6. Kids are so disappointed, so my son is trying to salvage something. Just hoping there are cast rates available for our dates. His is paid in full because he added dining, but mine is room only. We will see!

Understand your disappointment, but what if the closure goes past March 31. No one said guaranteed that the parks will reopen in 2 weeks, because no one for sure knows what is happening. Wouldn't it be more prudent for you to wait, rather than book something and have to cancel again. Good luck!

I'm certainly hoping for just a 2 week closure, we're scheduled to arrive 4/15. However, to hedge our bets, I did just book a room for May. We got a great deal in April at the BWI cottage suites; I'm sure they won't honor that rate if we end up cancelled due to continued park closure. Just in case though, I booked the same category for May but for a lot more $$$. Hoping for the best in April. Stay healthy!
