Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Trishadono - thanks so much for all the wonderful and helpful photos! Looking forward to tomorrow's post already! :goodvibes:
I feel so bad. I had so much more time when at AKL cl. I feel the sl pix were rushed and not as many.

Oh well I think by the time I'm done you all will want to stay there too.

Sleeping with the view of the other building and lights in the distance

Treats and alcohol when you wanted a break ( dd loved making mimosas with the pog)

Grabbing a coffee and dessert in the afternoon

The courtyard pool , boat dock and main building steps away

Exiting towards the marina and walking that side for a different view

The beautiful rooms and amenities

Chocolates on the pillow

Oh we had a lovely stay!

Francesco is an older cm whom is so sweet. On our first morning he was there. I was so happy to see him. I reminded him he gave me cognac on my going home day last visit and we had such a lovely time we came back for dd birthday. He said " oh do you think she will want my special choc milk? "

Yes, yes she did!

Hey everyone! Been awhile, but wanted to pop in and say I am heading back to wdw after a week long cruise with DH on the Fanatasy Concierge level in November. What started out as a trip for just DH and I has morphed into cruising with our friends on the Fantasy, then moving over to WDW Nov 11-17 with our 2 adult sons joining us and our oldest's gf....At first we where booked at YC CL then decided to splurge and try Four Seasons with just Hubby and I, then when the kids came on board that went out the door for Beach Club VILLAS 2 BDRM with Deluxe Dining..... well, I began to hum and haw and second, third guess myself if I'd like staying in a VILLA, and I began missing CL because I always travel CL at WDW......so last night I finally made the switch and have us ALL at BC CL ( a lagoon/pool view for hubby and I) and a standard view for the kids. I am so excited to be staying CL again, and I think it was the best choice for us with the family going ..... I also downgraded to the regular ddp with CL, as Deluxe would be overkill on food. I am wondering if any BC CL fans could give tips for requesting a good lagoon view room, close to the lounge and I'd love a king bed! I haven't been to CL at BC since 2011 when I stayed with my son when he was 14! We didn't hate BC, but we didn't love it as much as AKL either (our normal family favourite resort) However I am excited to give it another try, and really think it fits the bill for our upcoming trip, so I am excited to be headed to BC CL this fall! :)

I only stayed there once. I booked a std view but was told at check in upgraded to lagoon view. It was lovely!

However it was far from the lounge.

Which is more important for you ?

I didn't mind the walk it wa only a one night-er.

Sounds like a lovely trip, happy planning!

The adult beverages

The wines and beers are on the table below with beers on left, wines on right for appetizers 5-7pm.

Gf sl does this right. You feel like you have your own private bar. They will give glass or plastic upon your request. Also I asked about taking glasses to the room and they said of course and leave them there for the maid, don't carry back.

New was the Angry Orchard Hard Cider and more wine choices.

I looked closely and it appears the reisling was only out for desserts but if they have it you should be able to request it all day.

This is the cart set up for desserts with the beers in a cooler behind them.

We are under 4 months now until our family vacation.

We have made a slight change in our plans, we will now be at Poly CL Aug 1st - Aug 4th then heading to YC CL from Aug 4th - Aug 7th.

I haven't heard anything from the new Signature Services yet? Does each CL resort have their own service or does it go through one central place? At what point should I contact them to make my requests? Is now too early or should I wait until closer to the date?

Thanks!!
Jody

It's all centralized now. :)

You could certainly reach out to them. I did.

Your trip sounds fabulous!

Hello everyone - Please forgive me in advance, as I am a newbie on Disboards. I was really interested in hearing and reading all about the Club Level. I am a DVC member, so when I reached out to Disney to ask about it - points, costs, etc, the agent told me that not all the resorts listed here actually have club levels. Only Animal Kingdom Jamba and Bay Towers. Do they all really exist and where do I get pricing/point info on them? We'd really like to take advantage on our next trip in December! Much thanks in advance for the help!

Believe she is talking about dvc club level vs hotel club level. I know AK does have a dvc club level and is listed on the point chart. I have not seen a BLT club level on the point chart so maybe somebody else on the thread can clarify ( we do own at BLT and stay in a 1bd lake view)

Now in Oct hubby and I will stay at WL club leve but not as dvc.

Welcome to the DIS..:welcome:....I am not too familiar with the DVC resorts..and do don't have a definitive answer about the DVC CL question...but I see that you are already getting some answers to your question...I didn't think that any resort had a CL DVC option except for AKL either....although...is that going to be an option soon at WL?? ...

Among the DVC resorts, only AKV-Jambo has a club level, and there are very, very few villas in that category. You can find the point charts for all DVC resorts, room types and categories on the member site.

If you're planning a trip for this December (2017), there's virtually no chance that any of those villas will be available at this point. They book up almost immediately when the 11-month booking window opens, so, needless to say, you'd need to own at AKV to even have a shot at them.

DVC members have the option to use points to book non-DVC rooms, so you may be able to book club level at one of the other deluxes that way. Be warned, though, that the point costs will be extreme.

Another option would be to rent out your points and use the proceeds towards a cash stay.

No sure if this is the right thread but here goes..... we've booked a split stay, with the first part at WL deluxe club-level (no park tickets) followed by POR garden view (with park tickets).

We'd like to maximize our club-level time at WL by having the "dinner" there on "switchover" day. The CM who took our reservations said we can do this, but wasn't sure of the specifics. What's the best way to do this?

I would suppose (on switchover day) we'd drop off our luggage at the WL bellhop that morning to be sent from WL -> POR, although technically we're not "checked in" yet at POR. Then spend the rest of the day at a park, then have "dinner" at WL club level, then take transportation over and "check in" at POR? (our baggage should long have been there by then)

The concern I'm having is that the park tickets for that day are part of the POR part of the trip.... does that mean we're automatically "checked in" at POR and can't have "dinner" at WL?

This is a Poly CL question. Does the lounge only offer coffee in the nespresso machines? Is the Kona pressed pot ever offered? If not, I suppose I can order it via room service and maybe enjoy it in the lounge. Anyone do this?

Sounds like a great trip! DSS is now centralized, but you can contact them at any time. Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Your question has been answered, but I wanted to say welcome to the Dis :welcome:.

You are correct that you would take your bags to bell services and tell them you're transferring to POR. You shouldn't have any trouble accessing CL later that day, but I'm not sure how that works with split stays when tickets are attached to the 2nd stay. Hopefully others will be able to give some information :flower3:.

I can't answer about the coffee, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip and enjoy Poly CL :).

Got a call later today from Disney Signature Services (which is kind of a new consolidation of all the Concierge help desks) and asked them this question.... they said that even after we check out at 11am we still have access to the WL club level for the rest of the day including dinner/hors d'oeuvres... so we're good.

BTW - anyone know when will the newly refurbished WL club level will be open?

Does anyone know the type of white wine served at the GF CL. Is it Chardonnay? It appears that some CL have Sauvignon blanc. The last time I was at the YC Cl that is the only white wine they had Sauvignon blanc.... very disappointed.
Last time I was at beach club the only white was Chardonnay. I nicely said 'awwww no pinot Grigio?' The cm said he thinks there might be a bottle and quickly brought it up. The next 8 nights there was always Pinot available. Love those Disney cast members.

This is a Poly CL question. Does the lounge only offer coffee in the nespresso machines? Is the Kona pressed pot ever offered? If not, I suppose I can order it via room service and maybe enjoy it in the lounge. Anyone do this?

For breakfast, they have big containers of coffee out (both regular and decaf). I am not 100% sure of the type, but it's delicious and one of my favorite parts of staying Poly CL. For evening desserts they have smaller carafs out. The nespresso machine is always available. That machine is really more for espresso drinks than coffee, I'm not sure it actually makes a full cup (if it does, I could never figure it out).

The lounge does not offer the Kona press.

The room service menu I have from Feb lists a pot of Joffreys coffee in its beverage offerings, it does not mention the Kona press.

Hope that helps!

You are considered a guest of the WDW resort from 6AM the day you check in until midnight of the day you leave, regardless of when you check in/check out. You have access to all CL (and resort) amenities during that time.

Your plan sounds totally doable, your band should still give you access to the WL CL floor for evening appetizers. I 'THINK' I have read of experiences where people checked into the second hotel which may deactivate your band from accessing the first hotel, but I'm not totally sure about that. Maybe someone can opine. That would be a technical error if it happens, you have full access to the lounge that evening regardless.

Your park tickets shouldn't have any impact on the above, to my knowledge. Using your park tickets doesn't "check you in" to POR.

As to your last post, the new lounge opened late November 2016. We were there the last week of November, it was fabulous. It's a beautiful space and very well done. We found the food to be among the top, if not THE top CL in our travels to date.

Hope that helps!

PS: Will you have a car? If not, just remember there aren't busses from WL to POR so you would need to taxi/uber (or go about connecting via bus at MK).
