Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I think SL is a great choice! :) We had two fantastic stays there last year. I have pictures and reports if you'd like to check them out: https://erika_murphy.silvrback.com/disney-s-grand-floridian-resort-spa and also this one: https://erika_murphy.silvrback.com/disney-s-grand-floridian-resort-and-spa

If you have any questions let me know.

I'll get you added to our CL guest list! :D
Thanks Erika! Your reports make me even more excited for our trip... If that is even possible! Those pictures are awesome! We visited GF for Afternoon Tea during our stay last December and Christmas is definitely gorgeous there! A top floor room may need to be one of my requests now...I love the look of the vaulted ceiling.

We (myself, DH and DD) have a reservation from November 15 -23 at GF SL. We started out at YC, but with the refurb starting soon, I didn't want to chance it. It was work, but we were finally able to move over to GF. Have only stayed CL at AKL a couple of times before (and 1 time BC at CS). We are looking forward to a new adventure! Not quite the RPC that I would REALLY love, but baby steps....maybe next year

Glad everything worked out for you to change resorts. Hope you enjoy SL :wizard:.

Back from our week long stay at CR CL. Definitely think CL was worth the added expense since we utilized it. Had breakfast every morning, and often there for either snacks, appetizers or desserts. Was helpful to have the extra space to sit. Wishes from the lounge was amazing, better than seeing it in the park.

CMs were nice enough. Helpful when I had questions, but not very chatty otherwise.

Definitely some questionable behavior in the lounge by guests. My children are far from perfect, but saw adults in pjs/robes, adults in wet bathing suits sitting down, adults and children using hands to take food instead of the serving utensils that were next to the food.

During the week it was a lot of conference attendees that switched over to more families our departure day yesterday, Saturday.

Will definitely do CL again, loved CR location but interested in trying other resorts too.

Appreciate everyone's advice here. Hope to plan my next Disney trip soon!

Just finalized that we are going to GF CL on Sept 15, 7 nights.
This board has been great for figuring out some things

I have a daughter with food allergies. She drinks soy milk - the plain kind. Not chocolate, not vanilla.
Is this available at CL? Can they get it for us? Do I need to find a way to have it shipped to us?

Thanks!

Just let them know before you arrive. We have never had any problem getting soy milk.

Here now at Poly CL. Actually sitting poolside while kids enjoy some swimming and wife is napping. Just wanted to give another arrival report that there was not a greeter as we got off DME. We just walked ourselves to Hawaii. We requested 3rd floor or close to lounge. Of course they have us 1st floor in the room furthest from lounge. Oh well.

Quick report from Poly CL:

We stayed at the Poly Aug 14-20 and loved it. The CMs were very friendly and helpful. There was always an abundance of food in the lounge, especially at dinner/appetizer time, even when we ate around 7pm. The view from the lounge was beautiful. We met some very nice people and didn't witness any unruly behavior.

We had requested a 3rd floor room but got a 1st floor room with a patio overlooking the Oasis pool. It worked out fine - we didn't have to take an elevator to our room every time, and we had a squad of ducks that would come and visit us when we sat outside. You could even sit outside while it was raining, due to the coverage of the upper balcony.

We would definitely stay here again. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and the transportation options are excellent.

Sooo excited. DH and I are exactly 3 weeks from our 20th wedding anniversary trip. Staying AKV Club Level 9/8-9/14 and this is our first ever CL stay. We have studio and I have requested a savannah view, but I am thinking about sending a separate request for a specific room. Which studio has the best view? I have read that they are all a bit obstructed.

Any advice on services that we should take advantage of (other than the food/drinks in the lounge). :)

If you are staying in a studio, you'll be on the 6th floor and there's only 5 rooms. (5 1 bedrooms and 5 studios, if someone booked a 2 bedroom, that takes away one of the studios) . My point is, there's really no need to request anything. You will either have a not great view of a Savannah that rarely gets an animal, besides a bird or a rooftop view of the pool. Neither is all that great and since those 5 studios stay completely booked, your room has probably already been decided, if that makes sense. The view from the lounge is fantastic and there's a ton of places around the resort to see the animals. My only other advice is to just simply enjoy the lounge, being on the 6th floor is awesome. All of the rooms are just steps away from the lounge which makes it super convenient.

I have been back from "the World" for a few weeks. I stayed in three hotels (I kept adding onto my trip). I did stay CL at the Grand for 11 days. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. I will try to post some of my room pictures; although, others have already been posted.

Let me just say this: when staying at The Grand, you truly are treated like royalty. Also, I noticed when others outside the hotel question where I was staying -- there was nice acknowledgement given. It was interesting to note since I also had stayed at the Contemporary and the Yacht Club during the trip. Certainly, no one questions people staying at The Grand Floridian.

Oh, and for the record, the Sugar Loaf was home to a college basketball coach AND the CEO of the Chicago Blackhawks (and his family) during the same time I stayed in SL.

...and as a side note, I can still hearing the popping of bottles during cocktail hour. This was a lovely extra.

Hi! Is the new WL Club Level Lounge ready? Do You know when The south wind will be open again? Thank You!

Fyi. In the registration area at the Poly, they just added a sign above a check-in desk saying "Club Level Arrivals".

This is great info, thanks for posting! At least there is a separate CL line, and perhaps once you go there they walk you over to Hawaii. In any event, at least this clears up some of the confusion on what to do upon arrival.

Ok, I love college basketball - which coach? Inquiring minds want to know ;) Hope you had a fantastic vacation!!

For full disclosure, the sign was gone tonight when we walked past the lobby. I'm not sure if they bring it out only at certain times (i.e. if there is not a greeter working). I'll keep my eyes open each time I walk by and see if it returns. But yes, I agree.... removing some confusion would be a good thing.

Cross posted from Beach Clun Thread, cuz I am lazy. :rolleyes1

We checked out of BCCL last Thursday. I miss it so much! We were treated to a magical upgrade to a water view room - room 5687 - we had reserved standard view. The club level staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful.

Upon arrival at the BC, we were greeted with that lovely lobby smell - puts you right in the beach mood. If you love it too, buy the anthology candle - its awesome. We were escorted to the club level by a greeter from the main lobby. The concierge staff member was so friendly and offered us a drink of our choice while we checked in. She also gave us a tour of the refurbished club level lounge. It is beautifully done - so much room now!! We were given Happy Anniversary buttons without asking. Our room was right next the Nantucket Suite. Great view to SB, although there was a tree partially blocking the view, we didn't mind, it was still gorgeous. It has one of the small balconies but we don't spend a lot of time there so that was ok too. The room did have a rather funky smell on check-in. If you have a teenaged boy, you might be familiar with the smell - eau de gym locker. We had packed some fabreze and some essential oils so I went to work spritzing and sprinkling. We left the room smelling better than when we got there! Also, this room must be directly over the Cape May Cafe and the hallway smelled very strongly of fish each evening. Yucky! I wish they piped in the smell from the lobby to each hallway. We could not smell it in the room though. The food in the lounge is plentiful. Breakfast has a lot of variety. We only had dinner there one night but it was amazing - gazpacho and empenadas. Desserts also very good. My one complaint is that the selections are the same every day, except for dinner. I wish they would change it up a little. Even if they alternated stuff every other day. We were there 9 nights so we kind of got sick of the same thing. Everything was very good though. We were surprised to be able to see and hear the Star Wras Dessert Party from the room. Pool was dreamy - we had no trouble at all getting beach chairs on any day - at different times throughout the day. The whirlpool is broken and the lazy river is running very slow. Nothing beats that pool though! Warning - the cement at the pool gets SERIOUSLY HOT. Like burning coals! Watch your little ones feet! The pool closing at 10 pm is a huge bummer. Its one of the biggest complaints we had. It will be going in my survey for sure. Bus transportation was fantastic. The signs are helpful and accurate. The late boat back from DHS after the Star Wars show was a nightmare. We waitied over an hour for a boat. Took a taxi on our second DHS night as th eline was LONG for the boat again. The need to work on that. Quiet pool was lovely on laundry day - just a heads up - the laundry room washers and dryers are credit card only. That was a surprise I had not read about. Cheese flatbread at the marketplace was very good. This is our thirs stay at the Beach Club and I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

Views from our room...

I agree about the GF, it really is an amazing resort. Glad you had a great trip :wizard:.

Just got back today. The new CL lounge is not ready yet. Did not ask when it will be ready yet either.

Hope you had a great trip :).
