Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We stayed at the Poly club level back in November, and I have to say, I would do it again!
After a long day at the park, there's nothing like relaxing in the lounge. The kids would grab some cookies and watch Disney Junior. Meanwhile, I would grab a beer, my wife a glass of wine, and we would just sit there and relax looking out the window at the amazing view thinking about all the fun we had and how lucky we were to be where we are.
Priceless to us.

....and this sums up exactly how we feel too! There is no money tag that can be placed on that feeling of being in that lounge with that view after a long day at the park. :cloud9:

I hope you really like it. We really enjoyed the views, the location of the Hawaii building and how easy it was to get a snack to take back to the pool, and the theming. :)

Thanks! The Poly is our favorite overall as we loved it the minute we checked in, so I'm confident CL will be amazing. We've stayed in Samoa and loved it due to the proximity to the everything, so that makes Hawaii that much more enticing to try as you can't beat the location :goodvibes.

You'll love it! Man I would give anything to be back there now. Disney withdrawals......
What kind of CL view do you have?

Added on a one night Poly club level stay 10/11, prior to our stay at French Quarter. This will be our first club level stay and first time at a deluxe in general. I'm really excited to stay there and see if it is worth the extra money for our future trips. So far, we have stayed at POR, CBR, and CSR and my husband has stayed at a few values. I have always wanted to stay at the GF, but went with Poly because my husband has always wanted to stay there and it is better suited to our two twelve year olds we are bringing. Five months to go! :jumping1:

Random sort of OT post. This is my first year with APs and I am finding the summer discount very hard to resist (Disney marketing working its magic on me). I've been looking at a few dates through June and July and have been pleasantly pleased/surprised by CL availability with the AP discount (mainly been looking at Poly). Happy camper so far being an AP holder!

We have GV. I am very excited....September can't get here soon enough :). It's been awhile since our last visit and while it's been fine since we've been super busy around here, it will be nice to get back :goodvibes.

Have a great time! The Poly is amazing, you're going to love it! :goodvibes :yay:

Yep, Disney has a way of doing that....LOL. Hope everything works out and you're able to get exactly what you want :wizard:.

Yes we've been down that road once or twice ;).

Just an FYI for anyone with a YC stay this fall, there was a message posted on Disney's website yesterday with the renovation dates. Work starts Aug 16th. With the BC last year they started with the club level. I have a stay booked Sept 10 - 17, I'll post if they contact me do any changes.

Thanks for the info :).

I just booked Poly CL for Labor Day week! Hoping all works out and we get to go! It's my 39th birthday :)

Congrats and happy planning! I think the Poly is a great place to celebrate a birthday :goodvibes.

You can do that elsewhere I guess is the point. You can buy a glass of wine and a beer and some cookies for a tiny fraction of the Club cost. I think that's the point some are trying to make- what's the tipping point where it's so much more that it's not worth the value.

I'm back from my awesome GF RPC - Disney Cruise line split vaca! It was awesome!

But I just got the Disney blues that I don't have another trip booked! Boo. This is the first time in a LOOONG time that I don't even have the idea of a trip. Hmmmm. Can I swing something this fall? Augh! No plans for another trip! We probably can't do one in the early part of the year because we have several cruises booked for the first half of next year, but I can't just not go to Disney from now until Fall 2017.

We have a reservation at YC - GV CL room. Is there any point to doing anything in advance if we don't have big plans? I got the welcome e-mail with the itinerary planning form, but I wasn't planning on bothering with it since we're arriving via rental car and aren't doing any parks. I did e-mail to let them know we'd be arriving early (just in case the room could be ready, but understand it may not be) but I didn't even get a response. As for the room, we want 2 queen beds and a balcony, but everything at YC has a balcony so there didn't seem much point in asking for that. And from the rooms map on another thread it looks like there's only 4 GV CL rooms anyway (the 5th appears to have a King bed and we're 3 adults so we wouldn't go there) and they're all right in a row. We're not planning on online check-in because we want to link our magic bands to different credit cards and I've read it's better to do that upon arrival. Anything I'm missing that should be done in advance? (Can you tell I'm used to planning every detail?!)

We stay at the YC every trip. I enjoy doing my own ADRs. I haven't filled out that form in years. Sometimes I send an email with our arrival time & sometimes not. Doesn't seem to make a difference in our room being ready.

Where did you find current rooms map? I'd like to check it out, thanks!

Glad you had a great cruise and RPC stay! Hope you are able to plan another trip soon :wizard:.

I can't think of anything you're missing. Like focusondisney, I also enjoy making my own ADRs so I've never filled out the forms. Hope you have a great trip! :goodvibes

I forgot to ask - could you add us to the upcoming guest list? We're at the Yacht Club club June 17-26. Thanks!

Heard even at 180 days + BOG dinner is hard to get! My ADR starts this wednesday. Should I get online at 6am or fill out the form and let the Concierge try? Do they have better luck??

This is totally subjective, I know... but we are trying to decide between a Poly studio and a CL room for our stay in June. We originally had a trip in July and a GREAT deal on CL, so we booked it. But we have to change dates and the CL is about $1200 more for 6 nights. Worth it?
