I guess you were never there in between services? They have to clean sometime. They had someone sweeping up all the crumbs from the floor and then a guy came around with a buffer. I went around the rope, got a drink and sat down, but it wasn't comfortable to be there when they were actively cleaning.

We were there as they were setting up, but there was no rope, and there were people in the lounge most of the time. There was one couple who had an unofficial game running most of the afternoon.

Perhaps they implemented the rope recently, OR they have stopped putting it up. I just know we never encountered any time when the lounge was totally closed.

This is a great summary and exactly what we've experienced as well. We LOVE BC CL -- it has been one of our favorites for many years, and with the new lounge and refurbed rooms, it only got better. However, we really, really don't like how they close the lounge doors for those few times. It's not that we want to sit in the lounge, but it's nice to have access to the refrigerator, cups, forks/spoons, coffee, water....at all times. When staying there, we're constantly trying to remember if we grabbed extra drinks for our room for times when the lounge is closed. Also simple things like if we have desserts saved in our room but forgot spoons/forks -- we can't just zip to the lounge for them so we end up trying to remember to grab some extra cutlery too. I do appreciate how they like to keep the lounge clean -- I think they vacuum, etc., when they close those few times, but maybe just take 15 minutes to clean rather than close for an hour at a time, and I do feel all CL's should keep the lounge doors open after 10pm.

I agree completely. If we did go to the door and it was closed sometimes a CM would ask if we needed anything which is nice - but that was hit or miss.

Hey everyone!!!!! So so sorry I've been MIA. Free dining just about KILLED ME! But I'm here now and I'm sooooooooooo ready to be back in WDW next week!!! Get me away from my desk!!!!!

I totally agree. I haven't posted much about our YC CL April stay. We arrived after check in time but our room wasn't ready. The check in desk CM just said curtly, the CL lounge is closed until 5. There's no place for you to wait up there right now, so there's no reason to go up there. I said we'd just wait in the lobby for a bit and see if we get a text pretty soon. And thankfully, we did get a text. It's good we had stayed CL at YC before. We had our magic bands and knew how to work the elevator access because we were on our own.
The rest of the visit went well. But, good grief, how unwelcoming can a CM be? (The answer...very.)

I agree! It would be nice if all the CLs were run the same way.

Wow, not a very personable welcome/check in . With that said, I'm glad you had a great trip overall!

85 days until we check-in at Poly!! Can I tell you, no itch to switch?? I think it's all the fab DISers I can't wait to see Erika...you're staying an extra night, right?? Offer still stands if you need a room to crash in (we are 7...room for 3 more)

I might tweak my dates, yes! I haven't bought airfare yet anyway, so there's wiggle room. Can I tell you how ready I am to get back to the Poly???? 3 years is toooooo long!!!!
