Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Thanks for letting me know. I guess we will try walking into the park and see what happens. Right now we plan to head over to the International Gateway when we arrive, so we can "conveniently" go back to Guest Relations if the AP MB doesn't work.

We did online renewal and there aren't any cards in our box. I double checked. But it makes sense that they are doing away with the hard Passholder cards, although I think I'll stop at Guest Relations to see if I can get one. Sometimes it is easier to use the hard card.

Were they your AP magic bands or the magic bands connected to your resort stay? Because you'll get both.

Of course it makes perfect sense that Disney would do away with cards and CMs would still ask to see them in every store. Because it would just be too logical to let them know they no longer exist! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I got a direct-to-room email for Friday. But I'm sure someone will meet the DME bus anyway. Fingers crossed for a good room. I asked for a "no tree" view. ;)

Planning our first Club Level stay at Beach Club for Christmas holiday. I have a food allergy - gluten. Normally, I can find things to eat anywhere on property, but I am wondering if the Club Lounge will be worth the extra money for me. Will I just be watching my family eat there and looking for food in my suitcase?

Anyone else have a food allergy and were they able to accommodate it at the concierge club lounge? Do you talk to someone ahead of time from home to see if they can help? I really need to decide quickly to stay club level or put the money elsewhere.

Please help. Thank you very much!
I've recently stayed at the Boardwalk and Grand Floridian club level with celiac. Both resorts were accommodating. They will have you talk to the chef the first day there. They had special items for me for breakfast at both resorts. Plus those resorts had hard boiled eggs, cheese and meats that I could have. I was offered stuff for dessert- it was better at the BWI. Snack time I was able to have chips. And I could have some dips at the BWI; at GF they brought me sour cream at my request because I couldn't have any dips. Appetizers- I could have the cheese plate- just no blue cheese. And I brought my own crackers from home. (I've learned to do that now.). Plus at the BWI they made me a huge caprese salad. (That was not offered at GF.) but there were some other options throughout my stay that I could have had.

I really liked the experience at both places and will stay club level again. As with anything we are always waiting to know what we can have but I still found value.

Sorry if this has been posted already, been busy buying and wrapping.:santa:

In our last 2 stays , August and November they let us show our DME account from our phones vs having our AP discount card with us. However, we were told that they were not sure if that would be doable in the future.

Since we always have our phone that was easy for us.

Well I am in the process now of getting a few things packed, presents, and mobile items updated and ready because I am sure these next 6 days are going to be busy

I've never thought of that. I showed them my passholder slider on my magic band once when I didn't have my card. I think it really just depends on the CM and how strict they want to be. I'm going to ask about the new procedures when I get there!

My DS has a severe peanut allergy. BC Stone Harbor Club has always provided him with specially made items every time we have stayed there. I let them know in advance-a few days should be fine.

Hey guys. I need some advise. I figured I'd try here first before starting a new thread. My husband surprised me with a Club Level trip for just the two of us for my 30th birthday & he was wise enough to know to let me plan (obsess over) it. We're DVC members and have never stayed Club Level- we're renting our points and then booking on cash. Every time I think I'm set on a resort I find another reason against it. We will be there for F&WF and we definitely want to take advantage of all the offerings. So I was thinking an Epcot resort makes sense. BWI is my absolute favorite resort but it's booked for the week I want- minus the little cottage, which I love, but don't like the idea of being so far from the "concierge room". I hear very mixed reviews on BC & YC club level and I don't really love those resorts anyway. Plus, I'm afraid I'll be sad looking across the water at my number 1, BWI. So then I thought about a monorail resort since they'll still be somewhat convenient to Epcot. I've never stayed GF but I have stayed at Poly & CR. I was leaning towards GF, but I don't know if it's worth the extra expense. Poly would be romantic & CR is fun, so here I am totally stuck. I know I will not get the dream answer I'm looking for since a lot of it has to do with preference, I guess I'm just looking for personal experiences, how you would chose, & why. SO...

BWI Garden Cottage
GF Main Building room
GF Outer Building room
CR Tower room
Poly room

Which would you choose & why? Or would you go with another? Why?

Thanks!!

If I was working from your list, I'd go with BWI Garden Cottage or CR club level.
That said, I'll add this: A lot of the fun of food and wine for us is being able to be nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to book YC CL or BC CL. I've not stayed at BC CL, but we have at YC several times. We're booked CL at YC for Flower and Garden this year.

It might just be our luck, but we didn't find a monorail resort all that for us. The monorail seemed to be down often. However, we did love CR CL. It was very nice.

I would go YC CL with a water view. It's close to F&W, which is a MAJOR plus, and it's undergoing refurb so everything will be fresh and nice. I find the YC to be great for an adults only trip, and the water view rooms are so nice. :D

I love a YC CL water view room! :D

Out of your choices, we've stayed at the GF (main building and outer building) and Poly and while the Poly is our favorite resort overall, my choice would be GF RPC. I think the GF is great no matter which room category you book, but staying in the main building just makes it that much more magical, IMO. We've only stayed 3 clubs so I don't have a lot to compare to, but I found the RPC lounge nice and spacious with a lot of seating as well as great views of the GF grounds, and the CL CMs were amazing! I know the Epcot resorts are more convenient for frequenting Epcot for F&W, but we prefer the MK area resorts over the Epcot resorts, so I'd choose any of the monorail resorts. Good luck :).

Just wanted to post an update on this. Although the AKL club lounge still shows on the refurb list for 1/11 through 2/5, I received the following in an email today in response to my inquiry:

Dumela (Greetings) April,

Thank you for sending in the planning form. The Club lounge renovations have been moved back to later in the year. There will be no impact on your visit.

At your service,

Don

Hope that helps some others with plans in January and February!

Could you please let me know the email address you have for AKL. I have tried to email and had no reply. We are going to AKL in August, and want to make sure we will not be stayng there whilst a refurbishment is under way.
