Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

So change of plans! We were originally booked CR Tower Club in May, but we decided to shift our dates to... January 11-17! :upsidedow Holy crap it's coming REALLY soon! Could you please change our dates on the log?
It sure is close. Your 60 day fp window opens in just a couple days. :) Our window opens tonight at midnight and we are arriving on Jan 9th.

Mine is on Wednesday and I have a 530am flight. Do I wake up at midnigh? Wait until I'm sitting at the airport waiting after security??? Didn't think the timing through!

Disappointed to see soarin, space mountain and splash maintain all closed that week :(

Keeping my fingers crossed allears has it wrong.

However looking forward to some fun Disney Holiday events this week and girls fun in January.

I have many from August. See below:)

Dd and I loved the offerings. Lots of choices compared to poly and cr. For lounge space I still prefer car/poly but for food gf. Wl cl was wonderful it's just too bad the balconies are so enclosed.

I exactly agree! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Now I can't stop thinking about scones and Devonshire Cream!

I can't wait to hear all about your trip! You are going to have the best holiday time, and it's great that you get to see the Osborne Lights one last time. So excited for you!

Hard choice about the FP+. I am always glad I live on the west coast when my window opens, because at least it's at 9 pm - much more civilized. I did mine for my January trip on Saturday, and the system was agonizingly slow. I had four windows going at once, and it still took almost an hour.

Sorry I've been MIA again! :D I will go right now and check all the guest list additions!!!

I'm sorry the hear about the RPC. I know you had looked forward to staying there for a long time. But at least you have another trip to look forward to. :)

DH and I have been doing a lot of talking today about our upcoming WL CL trip. Our 60 day window opens in a few days and I had to renew our AP's so we would be ready to select fp's. He already wants to plan a return trip to WL CL even though we haven't been there for the first time yet. ;)

ETA: We were able to customize and ship our Annual Passholder MB's the same day we renewed our AP's, which is today. Last time we renewed the AP's we couldn't get the AP MB's until after we had activated the renewal voucher at the ticket window. It makes more sense to send the MB's when you buy the AP instead of later.

That's probably because you renewed them over the phone last time. You can only customize MB immediately if you renew online. :D

Awesome - thanks! We also love Poly and CR lounges, but I know GF will be just fine! We really enjoyed the home-cooking type food at WL, but we agree about the balconies....and the rooms were a bit too small for us. Maybe because we're used to spreading out at the other deluxes.

That's my issue too. We had a fine stay at WL CL last Christmas, but the rooms feel very small and the balcony feels unusable unless you want to stand up the whole time. I probably won't stay there again, it's too cramped and I'd rather have a usable balcony where I can sit and look at something.

Loving seeing everyone's photos :) So here's my issue, starting to plan my next trip (end of 2016) and I just can't make my mind up over WL CL (which I really enjoyed), YC CL (last stayed there 2006 and thought it was time to return) or go for some real luxury at the Four Seasons. The prices I've been quoted for CL are less than staying at the Four Seasons, and whilst I love dipping in and out of the parks I'm finding that I spend time shopping offsite and enjoying spa treatments. Has anyone stayed at the Four Seasons who has in the past stayed CL at Disney, any preference?

LOVED the four seasons. :cloud9: Our suite was so far above and beyond anything we've ever had in a Disney resort, it was gorgeous, amazing, beautiful, there's no comparison at all to anything at Disney. I have a ton of pics on pinterest of our suite and also another suite I toured: https://www.pinterest.com/erikamurphy12/four-seasons-resort-orlando-at-walt-disney-world/

If I could afford it I would stay in that suite ever single time I go to Disney. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

But, on the down side, there's no lounge at the Four Seasons. So if you want breakfast and apps that are included in the price of your room I'd stick with CL somewhere at Disney. I guess it just depends on what is more important to you.
FYI, yacht club is getting ready to be remodeled, I don't know the dates but I would keep that in mind. BC is done and really nice. :thumbsup2

The enclosed balcony is the only thing I am not excited about. We had an enclosed balcony on the sixth floor the first time we stayed at the WL and the only good thing about it was that we had a view of Wishes. Otherwise, I didn't like it at all.

Maybe a silly question, but we have a few Disney gift cards and we might get more for Christmas (I'll try to consolidate them before we go), but when we stayed at AoA, I walked to the front desk every night and ran the charges to the gift cards until they ran out. Do we have to do this when staying CL at the Poly or will Concierge staff help with that?

I'm all caught up!!! :) Loved reading about everyone's recent stays, and upcoming trips. I feel like I've barely unpacked from our last trip and I'm already getting close to Christmas. :santa:

A little pre-trip report from me. Everything is set to go for next month for our next trip to WDW. We've got lots of plans in place! :goodvibes We'll arrive 12/18 in the early afternoon, take ME to the GF and then hit MK shortly after. I've got MK fastpasses leading up to MVMCP that night. It's the last night of the party, which is exactly what we did last year, so I know it will be crazy busy. But amazing of course! :cloud9: I'm excited to get back to the GF. The IPO staff has already gone above and beyond for me on several issues. :thumbsup2 On 12/19 we've got Epcot fastpasses then tickets to see Star Wars ep.7 at Disney Springs in their big 3D ETX theater. So that should be awesome. :ewok::chewy::darth: After the movie we've got dinner at the Boathouse. Then 12/20 we'll be going to the special Narcoosee's holiday brunch, which I'm SUPER excited about! The menu looks really delicious. 12/21 is our day at AK. On 12/22 we've got dinner at Crystal Palace pooh: followed by Holiday Wishes fastpasses. Then 12/23 we've got 50's Prime Time dinner followed by the Osborne Lights -last time ever!!!!!!!!! :sad1: I'm hoping to get the special passholder tshirt but I bet it will be sold out by then. On 12/24 we move over to the BC CL, can't wait to get back there! That night, Christmas Eve, we have dinner at BOG, so it isn't the best location but when I made these ADRs back in June I didn't know we'd have a split stay. It will be fine, Christmas Eve is a great time to be at MK anyway, so we'll make it work. On 12/25 we've got the CP dinner package at Teppan Edo so that fits perfect with the BC. I thought the CP would be nice for Christmas Day to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. :littleangel:

That's about everything in a nutshell. I'm excited!!!!!!!!! :cheer2::banana::cool1::hyper:

CL staff can do it. :)

We were at WL CL last January and to be honest it was usually too chilly or rainy to really make much use of sitting on the balcony, so the enclosed balcony wasn't too big of a deal for us (and I'm a balcony person). What *was* nice, however, was that early in the mornings you could step out and have a beautiful view of the fog floating around the property. It was lovely, so I didn't mind standing!

If it was just the balcony I probably wouldn't care, but coupled with the small room it just doesn't work for us. It's a bummer because I love the lounge and the CMs. I might go back again if I do a suite. :)

Now that I definitely understand! We were in a Honeymoon Room so it had a little bit more room than the regular ones. But only a king bed. It worked for us cause it's just my husband and I, but I can't see more than two people being very comfortable in a room that size without getting on each other's nerves after a while!

My boys are both big, tall, and grumpy! :lmao: They have to have personal space, and they can't sleep together. So that has become priority #1 for all trips. ;)

I was just going to post this exact comment. We really, really liked the WL food and CM's. I tried to convince myself that the enclosed balcony fit in with the theme making it feel rustic and cozy....and that the small room size made it even cozier (lol). But realistically, it isn't what we enjoy on a vacation. So, same as you, we'd have to stay in a suite if we stay there again.

I may be running the risk of having virtual pillows thrown at me ;) but it seems as if Dusney makes many of its least desirable rooms into club level rooms. The WL gives smal rooms with dormer balconies to club level and so does the BC CL. YC CL gives their roof view rooms to families of five. This is a standard view for non club level rooms. I don't know about other resorts, but it does seem true for those three resorts.

Since there are just two of us this trip, the smaller WL rooms are plenty big enough for us. And we love the way they are decorated. :)

And this is our fourth stay at WL in January or February and it was too cold to sit on the balconies most of the time.

well, adding to the balcony discussion - we stayed at BWI CL mid-October. Our room was outside the security door, and overlooked the gardens - I believe these rooms were only recently added to CL. The balcony had a great view, but you had to move the chairs in order to open the door all the way to get out there. Once two people were sitting, if one wanted to go back into the room for something, the other had to move their chair so that we could open the door again...we were able to have a nice view of Illuminations the nights we were there. The non-CL room next to us had a nice big balcony with the same view.
