Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

It's never too early to start planning! :) Out of the 3 resorts you mention, we've only stayed WL CL and loved every minute of it! Not only is the WL a beautiful resort, but CL is amazing. The food offerings are great, the atmosphere is nice and relaxing, and the CL CMs are very friendly and always willing to help. WL is one of our favorite resorts, but CL puts it over the top for us. If it were me, I'd try WL CL, but that would be an easy choice for me as I really have no desire to try BC CL. Good luck!

Sounds like we have had exactly the opposite experiences in our CL choices! We found the food at BC to be far better with more choices at BC especially this summer. Our cm interaction was better at BC also. It's always interesting to see how one person's experience can really contrast with someone elses. I just wish I had had your experience at WL. We had wanted to love it but just really didn't.

Our WL CL stay was just "eh". IDK if they still do it but when we stayed there they would lock the doors with a chain in the afternoon so that you could not go in and get anything to drink. Getting a drink in general was a chore, they acted like it was such an inconvenience to have to do it. It was our least favorite CL.

Hi, everyone...I'm doing my online check in today for Boardwalk CL in October...YEAH!!! After looking at the "room request" options, it seems there are very few choices that apply to CL. I'm assuming that all Standard CL rooms are on the 4th floor, right? So, I really don't need to do the "room request" section at all, do I, since my TA has already put in a request for location...here's what the options are, just in case anyone else is looking....

I am contemplating on staying CL again when my Mom and I go back in 2017 (I know 2 years away, but its never to early to start planning right? ;))

I loved staying club level at AKL, and I loved that resort in general. I want to try a new resort's CL but I am afraid that I won't be impressed because I was so wowed by AKL in general. I'm thinking of Beach Club CL or Wilderness Lodge CL, I'd love to stay in the GF CL but that is way out of my price range. Has anyone stayed at those three resorts for CL and can compare them or tell me if AKL just dominates Wilderness Lodge and Beach Club?

AKL is really amazing. The theming, the lounge, the animals... I don't think there is another place at WDW with such immersive theming. Having said that, WL is somewhat similar to AKL (lobby/architecture), much more so than the BC. The YC and BC feel more like "normal" hotels to me, and the lounges seem to be more of an afterthought, just rooms on the CL floor instead of something overlooking the lobby like the one at AKL. BC will give you a larger room, though, and great access to Epcot and DHS. Plus the pool is fun! WL will give you more theming, and a boat to get to the MK. I don't think you can go wrong with either of your choices... Good luck with your decision!

Hi all - We are leaving Wednesday for an 8 day stay CL at YC. I made it through 50+ pages of this thread and noted the discussion of the text number which can be used for a fourth fastpass. I emailed YC IPO to ask whether that is still available and to find out the details, and I received an answer back this morning saying that the texting service is available for all types of CL assistance, but not any longer for extra fastpasses. She said I would have to utilize the kiosks in the relevant park for fastpasses past my original three. Was this covered in the last 25 pages of the thread I couldn't slog through? If yes, are there any details about why they discontinued it?

Sad to read this. :(

Hi everyone! I'm semi-brand new. I used to belong to the boards years ago but I forgot my username and email that I used. Whoops. So right now, we are booked for a 4 night stay at YC CL Dec 12-16th. We've only stayed CL before once at BC back in 2012. I've read back the last 20 or so pages and see that BC is apparently much better now then when we went. What is the difference now between YC and BC. We are a big party going- my DH, 13 yr old niece, 9 yr old DS, and my 9 month old twins. So a daybed is a must and a balcony would be optimal, which is why we like YC better. But for club offerings, are they the same?
The CL's make minor changes all the time. We just stayed at AKL in Jan, and it has already changed. Our stays at both BC and YC are fairly recent, but I still think both have had a little change since then, but most changes are small.

In many ways, all the CL are similar - even dating back several years: bread, apples, yogurt, coffee, etc. Those are at all CL. One has melon, the other grapes.

Here's what I KNOW: BC and YC share ONE main kitchen. ALL the food for both CL's comes from that ONE central kitchen.

The rest of the resort is also pretty much the same, except the décor. There's one central pool. BC tends to be slight more family/noisy, YC tends to be slightly more adult/quiet. I've had numerous CM's tell me WDW considers them one resort with two sides.

Called back to the IPO today and spoke with Mark at the Poly/WL area. Much nicer to deal with and he gave me a great piece of advice. Apparently you can get 'Ohana through rooms service, $40 per person (but you can choose how many people to order for so if you have small eaters order less). Entire meal, even bread pudding set up on a table in your room!

I'm surprised to hear you didn't like WL CL. Yes, they do break so they can get ready for the next session. In our experience in November, if we politely asked one of the CL staff, they were happy to accommodate us. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to assist us. Did that happen over a course of days or just one bad experience?

Over several days the week of Thanksgiving. The CMs at the desk would be joking and cutting up among themselves and acted like it put them out to answer a question. Our other club stays the lounge would stay open throughout the day even while they were changing out the offerings or there was a beverage cooler available outside the lounge itself. Tower Club at the Contemporary they even came and stocked your fridge for you daily.

We did this on our most recent trip - it was a TON of food and was delicious! We ordered it for "1" person but DH and I split it and there was still a ton leftover. It was awesome!!!!!! Highly recommend and we will do it every Poly trip from now on!

THANK YOU for that info! It will be myself and three older teen girls, I was thinking ordering for three, should I drop down to two? None of us are huge eaters but I was concerned that they would skimp on the potstickers wings and salad since in the restaurant its all you can eat.

I think 2 would be good - I think that the assume there are more people eating than the number you order - we ordered for 1 and they brought 2 plates, cups, silverware sets... tons of food - and I mean TONS! But if you're nervous, go for 3 - just make sure to save lots of room that day for dinner just in case! ;-) You'll LOVE it!

We've enjoyed 'Ohana since our girls were little (they're 18&20 now), last dined there back in May. Im kind of ambiguous on the shrimp, although being ablate wash my hands and make a mess and not worry about how it looks may make it different. I love the potstickers and the salad though. I think that the friend that's going with us will enjoy as well, she was just at Universal last mont with her boyfriends family and they were unable to get into 'Ohana. Plus, I figure we may have to get some type of snack at the Halloween Party too!

Any experience with food allergies in the club rooms? We are contemplating a club room for next year but didn't know if they would have safe options for our son who has a number of food allergies. I e-malled special diets but thought maybe someone would have experience.

Hello everyone! We would love to be added to the list! @TigrLvsPooh would you add us for Sept 4-7th?

My husband and I are making our way back to WDW for our 30th birthdays! We are going without our little ones and looking forward to our first club level stay! We have booked a CL Theme Park View at the Poly. We are aware of the construction going on, but are wondering if this particular view has any potential for obscured views? What type of requests for building/floor/etc would you make in addition to this reservation? Like I said, this is a first club level stay for us, so we are very excited, but want to be sure we have the best one possible!!

Thank you for all of your insight!

Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

I agree, it's very interesting to read other people's experiences and see how they differ from one person to the next. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience at WL CL. We've only tried 3 CLs and WL CL is one of our favorites, second only to GF RPC (although it runs a very close second as I found both experiences amazing).

This was our experience as well. The CL CMs were constantly telling us that if there was anything we wanted that wasn't out or if it was in between services, to just let one of them know and they would be more than happy to get it for us. We found the CL CMs to be very friendly and were always going out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of and enjoying our stay :).

We've never had to deal with allergies, but I have read reports of others having special things made for them to accommodate allergies. Hopefully others who have dealt with this before will be able to give some insight :).

I will add you right now! :)
You won't have to worry about building choice. You'll be in the Hawaii building. You can request a floor. Personally I like the 3rd floor. Tikiman has a building chart with all the room views listed. With your theme park view category you should have a great room!!!! :) Exciting!!!

I agree on the third floor request:) Also, the closer you are to the lounge, the farther you are from the new bungalows, so the view is better, IMO. However, if you like to sleep in, you might be annoyed by all the early risers talking as they pass by your room to get to the lounge...so if you want a quiet spot, you may want the opposite end from the lounge.

There may be a small possibility that I may be able to stay at the GF CL if we start saving now.. so that is a hopeful.
Anyway I was wondering if you guys could help me with like the bus situation at these resorts.. I know that some resorts share busses (I know AKL doesn't..or it didn't when I went last year) so if you guys could help me out and tell me which busses share things.

What is the bus situation for the Grand Floridian, Beach Club/Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge.

@Dispro1 and @TigrLvsPooh thank you for the tips!! That is what we were hoping to hear :flower3:!! We are too excited. Thank you!!
