Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

December, yes! :) We were in room 6323 and couldn't see the marina at all because of a very large tree. We could see the monorail a bit to the right and the sidewalk below us, but I was bummed we couldn't see the water. Not a big deal for 2 nights but this next trip is 8 nights and over Christmas so I want a good view for sure!

Oh, no! That's awful! I would have asked for another room....but maybe you did and nothing else was open?? It looks like you were further down toward the boat dock than we were. It could actually be the room with the tree we had once, but it has grown a lot?? The view Trish has right now is absolutely amazing. I hope she will post her pics when she gets back...although they may be on the GF thread!

I didn't ask to move, I was so glad our room was ready because both boys were sick. They crashed and I went shopping. LOL ;)

I am so impressed with Beach Club CL IPO so far. I just booked our vacation 2 days ago for November 13, 2016 and this morning there was an email welcoming me! They also included the planning form for me to fill out and send back "at my earliest convenience". However, we still have 458 days left. :rotfl2: If I sent it back now, I'd have to revise it 50 times. :lmao:

Here's where we were:

Hi All! Just want to be added to the guest list. We are staying in the Regatta Club Sept 29-Oct 6, 2015. Very excited! We have stayed at Yacht Club before but not in club level. We have stayed in Club Level at Boardwalk though and loved it!

Got you added! :) Our first YC CL person! :D

Someone asked about club level at Disneyland hotels. We have done them all, this will be our first time at WDW doing club level, August. 29 to sept 8 this year.

Anyway our favorite at Disneyland is PPH. There is no such thing as theme park view in WDW, but look at this one from paradise pier. Awesome. From what I read here, club level is different at DL, they encourage you to use it as a meal, we kept getting asked if we want more. And they don't care at all how much water, soda or juice you take each day. There was three of us and when we asked for a water she would return with 12 bottles. The kids would take 2 sodas and 2 juices on top of that, and every day since it was hot we drank it. When they say snacks, they mean a little more also than at WDW, they put out crus tables for the kids everyday at snack time.

Disneyland club level is great also, but not as great a view. But you can see fireworks from club level at both GC and DLH. We did GCH about 9 years ago, we do not like the hotel, and was not anymore impressed by it at club level, but that is us, I just am not going to pay 7 and 8 hundred dollars to be handed a sleeping bag to sleep on the floor. The rooms are so small at GCH compared to DLH and PPH, it would be like having the GF furniture stuffed into POR, honest to god, that is the comparison. Where as both DLH and PPH standard rooms at like 480 sq ft, the grand is like 310 sq ft.

If you pick PPH you get to choose if in a standard room to be on the top floor or to be on the third floor. The top floor gives you parking lot view, the third floor gives you a private patio next to the pool. The lounge is not on the same floor it is on the second floor.

If you want to pinch penny's PPH also is the way to go, our last three trips we went club level there because it was only $12 more a night than regular room. And we definately got our money's worth.

I wasn't the one who asked about CL at DL hotels, but thanks for your input. We've never been to CA/DL but we're thinking of going either next year or 2017, so this is very helpful :).

Thanks so much for input on it! We are trying to figure out the best fit - we love CL but GCH is a bit steep for our wallets at CL (especially because it doesn't seem that discounts are offered much during the time frame we are looking at) - I like PPH best but DH doesn't agree with me - We are still working on the details of our trip (July 2016) so I appreciate any input!

DL is my home base. I have stayed several times CL at DLHotel and the GCH. I totally love the DL Hotel as do my kids. In my opinion the GCH is not worth the extra cost. The club in the DL Hotel is much better. There is more room and it has a beautiful view of downtown Disney. You can watch the fireworks from there, which is a great experience. The CM's in the club have always been super helpful, attentive, and just great servers. The DL hotel was also recently remodeled. The rooms are spacious and the firework headboards are the best. We also love the pool area. Great monorail slides! it will be hot and crowded when you are visiting so I am sure you will use the pool! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Since people are listing their preferences for CL at DL, I'll put my 2 cents worth in and say that, money aside, we prefer CL at the GCH because of the location and the extra food they offer and the location. We like that it's all one building and the unbelievable convenience of the location. I will say that I wouldn't pay rack rate over there -- it's too high.

Lucky! I booked 2 CL stays for next spring and I haven't heard from either IPO office, and when I called they said it was "too early" for them to have us on their list. That's the first time that I've been told I have to wait and contact them later. Pretty annoying...

I've looked at pics of the 3 DL hotels and while they all look nice, I tend to lean toward the GCH. I think the GCH resembles the WL and we love the WL, so I think we'd love the GCH :goodvibes.

Which 2 resorts did you book for next spring?

It definitely resembles WL and AKL (I believe all 3 were designed by the same architect), and I think that's one of the reasons we like it. Another gorgeous lobby... We booked BC and GF for now, but it's subject to change of course ;)

I never knew the same architect that designed the WL and AKL did the GCH. It makes sense since all 3 very closely resemble each other, but I never knew that...very interesting! We love both the WL and AKL, so I'm sure we'd also love the GCH :goodvibes.

A BC/GF is a good split. We are booked with a Poly/CR split for next July and are excited to try CL at both resorts. The CR is new all together, but Poly CL has been on our list to try :).

I had a chat with a nice CL CM one afternoon about the architects, and he confirmed they were the same. We really wanted to try the WL since we love the other two, but I don't want to be there during all the construction. Poly CL in the summer is great! We stayed there a couple of times and really had a nice time there. I love how close the Hawaii building is to the pool and the views of the fireworks from there are the best!!! I hope you have a wonderful trip. We haven't tried the CR yet, so it will be nice to hear what you think of it.

You should ask to move, we did and received a room on third floor with two tv's and extended balcony I assume deluxe room, I was there August 1-3, same time you were there. I think I ran into your son on elevator.

Oh no! I hope he was on his best behavior!!

We are considering a CL stay with our next visit. We have been to Disney MANY times and we would like to try something new. With my family of 6 and not wanting two rooms or a 2BR villa, we are limited to WL and BW CL. Which would you recommend for a first timer with girls 5, 9, 12, and 15 at time of trip?

I've never stayed in a deluxe room at the WL, but I have at the BWI and it was a very nice room. Probably a bit chaotic with 6 but if you don't mind snuggling up together I think it would be fun. :) I've got some pictures if you want to see the room: http://www.disboards.com/threads/just-back-from-the-boardwalk-inn-club-level.3316744/
