Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I did book my ADRs 180 days out but have been tinkering with some of my ADRs once we decided to go with the deluxe dining plan and put the kids in the Children's Activity Centers for multiple nights while we eat at multiple signature restaurants. We're foodies celebrating our wedding anniversary.

That's awesome! :)
Typically signature dining is a bit easier to find but during free dining it seems all restaurants are nearly impossible to book. I'm so glad they've been able to help you!

Thanks! I'm finding it a little harder this year compared to last year when I went during the last week of September. I think it's also a little bit tougher this year with NOJ during two of the nights and MNSSHP during one of the nights while I'll be there, as it cuts down on restaurants in and around Magic Kingdom. The GF/CR IPO has been just terrific and I've gotten really helpful, nice CMs when I call. I've emailed them too but have had a slightly better experience when I have called.

Hi all! After a bunch of CL stays at WDW we are thinking about venturing out west to DL next July! We are in love with CL but we can't seem to find much out about CL at the hotels out there - does anyone have experience with it? Is there a thread that you know of that has information about this? I know this is all about WDW CL but I thought if anyone might know, this group would!

Hi! My family stayed CL at the CGH last spring, and I'm happy to answer any questions... PM me if you want to. When we stayed there was a difference between what the GCH had in the way of food compared to the other two. There are pics of all the CL lounges and hotel pics of the DL hotels on the Disneyland Board here on the DIS. There are also lots of people who are very helpful over there on that board. :)

Thanks so much for this! I sent you a PM. :-)

the GFR's RPC CMs are exceptional. A tip of the hat (with Mickey ears attached) to Abdul, Marie, Gayle, Loretta and Patty!

I agree :thumbsup2.

Currently staying at the Tower Club though we have access to RPC (don't ask how). Superb desserts at the Tower Lounge (the club level's oatmeal raisin coookies are a bit better than the RPC's version; and the Tower Lounge's Snickerdoodle cookes are even better than the excellent RPC sugar cookies). However, the three wine offerings at the Tower Club are rather disappointing (and one of them is white zinfandel...Ugh!). Wonderful CMs at the Tower Club.

Hope you're enjoying Tower Club :).

Just wanted to report how great the GF/CR IPO is! They've now helped me on 4 separate occasions on different dates with ADRs where I couldn't find availability for dates or times that I wanted while trying to do it myself on the MDE app or website. I know people say that they have access to the same system as the general public and that they don't have any special reservation rights. However, on 4 occasions, I checked for an ADR but couldn't find the date or time slot that I wanted right before I called, but then they were able to find the date and time slot that I wanted literally seconds later. I used them to get ADRs at Jiko, California Grill, Via Napoli and Artist Point. Maybe I've just been lucky but it's been terrific and a relief not to have to keep checking availability myself constantly.

Also, when making today's ADRs, I asked the IPO again today about the FP texting service for my upcoming September stay at the CR and they confirmed that the service is available for GF/CR CL guests.

Glad IPO was able to get what you wanted :wizard:.

Since the Tower Club deals with fewer guests that the GFR's RPC, food presentations are, for the most part, a bit more elegantly displayed (no need for mega-bowls to feed the starving horde). There is much that is similar during the Continental Breakfast and Lite Bites (afternoon) servings between both places. Contemporary Flavors (like the RPC's Twilight Refreshers) is interesting for its occasional surprises, like last evening's panko-crusted scallops! [Note: two months ago, the RPC provided a carving station on Thursday and Sunday nights, but the uneaten wasted meat was a costly proposition and was discontinued.] Unfortunately, the wine selections at the Tower Lounge are rather bland. Fortunately, Mumm Napa awaits us at the RPC tomorrow.
Ugh! This morning: a barefoot man in the lounge.
All the best!

Did anyone say anything to the barefoot man? We actually saw a CM say something to a barefoot person in RPC, and it was handled very well..." For your own safety, we require shoes to be worn in the food service area because glasses and plates get broken all the time and we don't want anyone to get hurt." The scallops at CR sound wonderful (maybe I can convince DH to do a split stay sometime) but I'm disappointed that the carving station was discontinued in RPC before we got to try it! Blueskies told me that she had heard it was discontinued. Oh well, I still love RPC and there are supposedly some other new items that have been added since we were there. We love all the CMs you named also:) I can hardly wait until October! If you see anything new in RPC, please let us know!!

Hi all. Does anyone know how to request not getting a room at the YC with the community balcony? Stayed there last month and it was awful. Guests and their kids running back and forth, etc. Thanks.

Did you book a Yacht Club standard CL room? I am fairly sure those rooms that share the large balcony are standard CL. You could try to request a room with a single balcony. Other options would be booking garden or water view.

I don't know where I read it (either on the Club Level thread or on the Polynesian FAQ thread...??) but I had read that due to construction on the east pool, some rooms on the GV side of the Hawaii building were going to be taken out of inventory around the 14th of August.

I also had read that a couple of the ground floor lagoon side rooms were changed to garden view due to obstructions from the bungalows and/or trees/shrubs.

Well, I got an email today from IPO and wanted to add the info here regarding the current situation in the Hawaii building:

"There had been garden view category rooms located on the lagoon side, however these rooms have since been changed back to lagoon view rooms.

Please note that any construction noise will not begin until 9 AM. We will do our best to assist you with getting the best room location, but please note that garden view rooms will be facing in the leisure pool direction."

I always wondered about that huge balcony. I think you could just call the IPO office and ask them to note that you would prefer to not have one of those rooms. There are so many other SV CL rooms there that I would think you'd be likely to get your request (even though it would still just be a request).

I did see castmembers telling people at BC CL when they were at the desk doing check-in that shoes were required in the lounge at all times for their safety. Then they went on to say that on several occasions they have had broken glass in the lounge and even with their best efforts to remove it small shards can be missed. I thought that was a nice way to say it.

Interesting! I did not know about the large shared balcony. Where is it located?

There are 3? standard club level rooms that are over the Yacht Club Portico, they face the parking lot. The view is actually kind of pretty. We were in one of them once, and it was lovely. No one else was using the balcony, and I had it all to myself. There are a set of table and chairs for each room.

I could see where it wouldn't be as nice if there were kids racing around. Hopefully it's one of those things that doesn't happen too often.

What is wrong with people. Why would you let your kids run back and forth across the whole thing. I have a kid and I would never allow it.

Anyone have luck with AKL CL concierge booking 4th FPP? I know it seems hit or miss depending on resort
