Also a new set up for afternoon snacks at the Innkeepers Lounge at the BWI
so far we have had good luck with the Poly club Hawaii building. Good offerings and the cast members are nice.
I was reading on the Poly thread that they have done special food in the lounge the last couple of years and I was just curious if anyone else has had experience with this. We are currently booked at Mickey's Backyard BBQ for July 4th and aren't quite sure what to do! We don't want to miss a fun celebration in the lounge! The BBQ is at 5pm so we would be back in plenty of time for desserts and the fireworks on the beach - just aren't sure what to do!! Help me decide!
That's actually amazing that they made them sit down- shocking! I find as a general rule no one wants to say no to anyone!Flashback!
.....and this was our awesome view 2 years ago on July 4, 2013, when we had a first floor patio room:

Security/management did make those people sit down, by the way.
Needless to say, last year in 2014, we requested (and received) a 3rd floor room and my pictures I posted in the previous post above were from that room.

Is it appropriate/acceptable to make up a plate in the lounge and bring it back to the room? I am not the prettiest sight in the mornings and really don't want to have to do my hair and get properly dressed to get a nice cup of coffee/tea and a pastry in the morning. But I can always ask the BF to pretty please go pick something up for me (and because he's the sweetest he won't say no... I'm such a spoiled brat). But is that considered rude? Is it expected that you only partake in the food while you're within the actual lounge? What about wine in the evenings? Can we get a couple glasses and go back to the room or is that not allowed?
Here we go! Poly CL, July 4, 2014:

There is one particular manager that we see there every trip -- I need to pay attention to this name because I can't remember it -- anyway, he's great/very thorough. He observed us sitting on our patio staring straight at the backs of those people standing (lol). We watched him walk over to the people and speak quietly to them. The people did turn around and look at us and then they proceeded to sit down. I actually went over and thanked the manager a little while later. Then, last year 2014, I saw the same manager wandering around the beach area on the 4th of July, so I approached him and mentioned that we stayed on the 1st floor the prior year and were happy to be on the 3rd floor this time! So he asked me about the view, the water parade, etc., now that the bungalows have been built. He even typed in my response in his Ipad that he was carrying around. I really like him and think he does an outstanding job!
How did you find Uber? I've been reading threads on Uber service on the Transportation Forum, and it seems like it may be a viable option for a quick trip here and there. We're doing a split stay CL at WL, which I'm so looking forward to, then we head to BCV. I was thinking about Uber to get us to BCV and then if we decide we need water, beer, wine, snacks, maybe call Uber to get us to a grocery and back? (I'm afraid we may find ourselves spoiled by doing CL first... but then again... When we stay BCV, we typically dine out, run over to Boardwalk Bakery, or head over to Epcot...)
We used Uber a couple times when we were there a few weeks ago. Fast, clean, and so convenient not having to handle money. You know up front how much it will cost. There are some promo codes out there, too. Our ride from AKL to BC was totally free due to using a promo code!
Hi all! We are thinking of shipping an Amazon Pantry box for our Poly CL stay. Has anyone had experience doing this? What is the address that we should ship to? How long ahead should we order it? How do we make sure that we get it? Thank you!
