Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Thanks y'all! It's good to hear some really positive stuff about Poly CL. Is it true that there are no single (king or queen) beds in the CL longhouse, only double queens? We were doing research on it this evening and couldn't seem to find a definitive answer on this.

Quick post! Currently at the contemporary in cl (14th floor). It's been fab with wonderful cms and food/drink selections. I can confirm there are hard boiled eggs for breakfast. Hope to have more to post soon.

Awesome! :) Can't wait to hear more!!!

Ok, I totally LOL'd when I read this!

Thanks for sharing your experiences there. The lounge looks really beautiful, but for whatever reason it seems like I've read more "CL horror stories" about the Poly than any other CL. It's made me nervous, although the chance to stay at the *other* original WDW resort (my favorite resort being CR) might outweigh my hesitations in the end.

I'd love to hear any more experiences about CL at Poly if anyone else would like to share! :)

We have stayed Poly CL twice and are heading back there in 3 weeks - It is by far our favorite - we love the hawaiian feel to the lounge, we love the POG juice that they have out daily, we love the view of Wishes from the lounge, and we love its laidback feel! We are always on the go so much at home that when we stay Poly CL we feel like we really take the time to relax and unwind! I've seen interesting folks in other lounges as well as the Poly lounge but have never had issues with anything that disrupted our vacation. We love how close the lounge is to the pool, the campfire, the outdoor movie and the beach! So excited to be back in a few weeks!

I can confirm no kings all 2queens with the daybed. Tikimanpages.com has an actual map of each floor with the layouts and room numbers.

Super excited - I saw the pictures on Tikiman's FB page of the GV CL room views currently - so happy to see the grass back and the fences gone! 3 weeks until we check in for our Poly CL week and 4 weeks until we check in for our BC CL week!! Time can't go fast enough right now!!

Fantastic! I need to go check out those photos! Please come back and post some pictures after your stay - we'll be in a GV CL room at the Poly in late July and would love to know what to expect :thumbsup2

We've stayed CL at all the deluxe resorts, except for YC (we've stayed there, just not CL.) So the Poly lounge . . . our three boys (one in grade school, two are teens) LOVE the Poly CL lounge. It's their favorite of all the CLs for a number of reasons - super laid back, relaxed atmosphere, great view of the fireworks/castle, right next to the pool so completely convenient and friendly CMs who say "Aloha" but don't chat. They would rank the food better at WL and GF, but overall, Poly is their favorite.

My husband would rate Poly as his least favorite CL for some of the same reasons our kids love it - primarily the super laid back atmosphere and the fact that he has to see the castle and can never escape. He also thinks the food ranks low among CLs and that it's kind of busy with guests who utilize the lounge for dinner, order in their pizza or literally pick up a chair and place it directly in front of us so that we can't see out the windows. We actually burst out laughing when that happened, but we'd observed this family in the lounge before and knew that a simple "excuse me" would be futile.

So I'm in the middle. I love the relaxed atmosphere. The guy in the lounge last year who asked for yet another two beers for the pool and stumbled around singing "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?" was seriously hilarious, friendly and didn't interfere with my enjoyment. I love the two levels and can always retreat to the upper level of the lounge and enjoy the view. We love to enjoy the fireworks from the lounge and then walk just steps to our room. For me, Poly is a combination of my family history there, the complete convenience of the entire resort, the outstanding theme, great dining options and overall happy feel. The new pool and Trader Sam's will make it even better. But the differences between the Poly lounge atmosphere and some others (BWI, GF RPC and BC, for example) have been significant in our experience.

Thanks for your input. I'm hoping to try Poly CL later this year :).

We stay at Poly CL quite a lot...going again very soon (week of July 4). Overall, it is our favorite CL experience to date. While I'm thinking BC CL has surpassed Poly in the food department after the new lounge renovation, we still prefer Poly CL for a few reasons. One being the location and view. All I have to say is WOW as far as both go. We think it's amazing to have a Castle view every morning to start our day. We also love that the Hawaii CL building is located just steps from the pool. Makes it so easy to lounge at the pool and simply go to the lounge to grab drinks/snacks when needed.

Thanks for your review/opinion. We've stayed in Samoa and I loved the location, so being in the Hawaii building would be just as great (with the extra perk of drinks and snacks throughout the day ;)).

Glad you're having a good time :wizard:.

I will be staying Poly CL Garden View July 26th - 30th.

Have a great trip :goodvibes.

Hey, us too - except we get to stay until August 1st ;)

Hope you both have awesome trips :wizard:.

I can't wait to see your pics!!

I don't believe my dates are on the log/guest list yet, but we will be staying CR Tower Club as well Oct. 25-31 for F&W (and a belated 2nd anniversary!) and we couldn't be more excited. :) It'll be our first time staying on the 14th floor.

I'd never really been crazy about staying at PV but it's a place my husband wants to stay someday soon...How did you like the overall CL experience there? I've heard some stories about noisy kids being an issue in the lounge. Was that a problem for y'all?

We arrived right after New Years and left on Marathon weekend. First part of the week it was dead! CM said that 50% of the rooms departed that Sunday after New Years. Only a few people in the lounge. As it got closer to the Marathon, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, it got progressively busier, but it was never standing room only. I heard it was standing room only during the holidays but the people still had fun.

I thought the CMs were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our trip.

Hey, us too - except we get to stay until August 1st ;) See you in the lounge!!!

What floor did you request? Do you think they will be upgrading those with GV during our stay because of the pool construction? I have heard mixed opinions so far. Just wondering what others have heard for our specific time period.

Thanks! I read that there is an ABC liquor store less than 10 miles away, with a Publix in the area too. We'll probably rent a car from the Disney CCC the day after we arrive since don't have anything planned for the day/afternoon, and get whatever is needed, then return the car that night or the next morning. Appreciate the suggestions!
I've not done it myself, but I've heard most towncars (airport service) allow a grocery stop.

Beyond that....when I've priced out getting a car for a ay at places like the CCC, the cost is like $65 a day. I can often get a mid/full size for a whole week from MCO/TPA for under $150. It is truly worth pricing both options.

Also, getting TO the CCC takes time...picking up a car at MCO SAVES time (vs. ME).

Many times, I've been to WDW with extended family where some of us took the monorail/bus/boat and some of us drove back to the hotel. Even if we only use the car a few times, we've always felt it paid for itself.

Car always beats the AK bus, + water park stop, by quiet a margin.

Though I do understand the appeal of the boats, monorail, etc.

Glad to hear they added them. We've stayed there a number of times, and they did not have eggs.

But then, once upon a time the 14th floor didn't have a 24 hour drink cooler either.

It is about time they added boiled eggs!

I've done it all, rental car, taxi, Uber, town car, it really just boils down to what fits your needs. If you only need one trip to the store a rental car would be a waste. I would probably weigh the price difference between a taxi or having a grocery delivery service bring the stuff you want.

Can anyone confirm that the AKL lounge no longer has kids goodies? My four will be fine without goldfish or gummies but my SIL is considering a change from WL and her three are younger (3,6,7). We would like to make it a nice cousins trip in July, but they will be spending much more time in the lounge than my crowd.
