Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

If it makes you feel better, I felt the same in June when everyone was in Disney and we still had school. We ended 6/26 this year, last yr was the 28th

Wow that's late!

Growing up we did the Labor Day through Early June schedule. But we didn't have a Fall Break and had a much shorter Christmas Break.

We also went back after Labor Day and got out by June 1st or 2nd, but we had a fall break as well as 2 weeks at Christmas. My kids are grown and out of school, but I wish it was still like that today. I feel so bad for these kids not having much of a summer by the time they get out mid-late June and go back early August .

We leave for Florida tonight will be in Disney by Monday.

we just changed our split stay BWI/GF CL to all GF SL CL. Disney finally had all five nights with a passholder discount so we took it. I'll miss staying at BWI but it will be so nice to unpack and not have to think about repacking to move hotels.

Sounds like our trips will cross paths again. Maybe. Our Fall Break trip starts on 10/5, till 10/12. We'll be at OKW though. Traveling with friends and that's where they are staying and they've asked that we stay together. They offered to stay wherever we want but I know they need 1 bedroom so that means options are limited. It's just DH and I so we can make do anywhere. Besides, we go all the time, they don't. We can get our picks in on all our other trips. We'll do their pick this time. Heck, we are getting in 3 of our picks later this month when we go down for Labor Day. Best of all, we check in to BWI CL on Sunday morning, so you know what that means?!, Omelettes! By the way, did you see where Redgie was doing some cooking in the Pizza Window last week? I've got to find out the details there. Sounds like he had a blast

DGD is on Fall Break that week but she's not coming with us. She'll go visit her other Grandparents instead.

We will be at the BC September 28-October 5. The kids Fall break is the 1st to the 5th in Rutherford County.
I did see Redgie posted on Facebook he was at the Pizza window. I hope the pizza has improved! I am going to try it in September.

We feel the same way. NYC schools go to the very end of June. But now that some are in college - they end mid May but since all of them aren’t off - we can’t go to Disney in May - which I would love to go then.

Yep, we're in NYC school district. I work there and kids go there. Well did, my oldest is going to Catholic HS next yr so I will have to get used to 2 schedules. It will be weird being home without him on non Catholic holidays. I also can't sleep in those days.

My sis and I joke about this. By the time our kids are done with strollers, they can push us around!
We are going sans stroller in the fall but it is a more laid back Sea World trip with a short DCL cruise.

Wow. Is all I can say. We checked into the AKL CL yesterday and it is wonderful so far. We were met by Jason, who was the nicest guy ever. We had so much fun with him. He and our son bonded. Then we were brought up to check in and Don was also very friendly. Jason stayed with us for check in and guided us to our room since we are not on the 6th floor. 3 out of 6 of our magic bands didn’t work. Mine being one of them. We went back up and Don fixed them.

We are in a 2 bedroom suite and it is unbelievably large. I wasn’t expecting it to be this big. It has a King bed room, a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. It also has 3 bathrooms with 2 line telephones in all of them. We absolutely love this room. We surprised the kids and they were so so excited. That was worth everything.

We only saw dessert last night. Which was fine. All I wanted was my decaf cappuccino. I will attach some pictures.

We then went to the gym. On long car rides we like to end the day in the gym. My son walked into the gym and said he wanted to cry. The gym was so big and had so many different machines.

The beds are so comfortable and truly love this hotel. The walk is very long to get to the room but my kids said then there will be more room for food. Waking up to see all the animals is worth the walk. We have 1 huge balcony and one regular one.

This is truly a blessing. Will update with the food offerings and pictures. Having issues uploading pictures as it says they are too big.

Yep, me too!!! I am toast when I leave the parks and I need a vacation from my vacation when I return!

You people still on vacation (especially those in the Bahamas!) are killing me. School started here on Monday!

That does kind of suck!
I teach (summer enrichment) through Thursday, then I'm off until the end of August. Our Adult education doesn't begin until after labor day, but the Teachers are back late August for prep and meetings.
I always look forward to that late August time off to just enjoy New England.
On the flip side, you are done much earlier, and have NO SNOW DAYS to make up! Ugh, I am NOT looking forward to winter!

Thanks. We feel like we are dreaming. We have booked this resort so many times and changed plans so many times we didn’t think we would make it this time. It truly is the best way to start the vacation. Nice and relaxed.

Breakfast at AKL CL. It was crowded this morning. I couldn’t get all the items to take pictures. The spread was wonderful just not enough seats. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. We went late today. Around 9:50am. Then it opened up. They also came around to warn us it was about to close and offered us ToGo plates. That was nice and not offered at any other CL lounge before. Very nice CMs.
Oatmeal, yogurt with toppings, bagels, danish, muffins, turkey Bobotie (so delicious), cold cuts, cereal and lots of fruit.

We are at PORS right now (August 7-17) but are going to BC CL on 17th. I emailed DSS about a couple of room location requests today- they got back to me right away. I haven't received any contact from them so it was nice to get an email reply so quickly. We are having a great trip right now; but looking forward to our first ever club stay. Love the reports and pictures from all of you club level veterans!
