Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hope you have a great time on your upcoming trips! So much fun to be had!!!!!

"Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans!!" It's so hard to do everything you want, but you'll find time to get back!! The cannoli are fabulous!!

Definitely - I'm lurking around a lot on this thread since I want to bump up to CL "somewhere" for our family trip when the late April discounts come out! A few CLs we've tried, and a few we haven't tried yet so lots of information! Practicing patience on the waiting part!

Thank you @GADisneyDad14 ! Yes, that's really helpful. I must say, your reviews of Poly CL have been enormously helpful in trying to decide whether or not to book. I appreciate your thorough detail and vast experience.

Yes, we have three little boys who would love the sand pails, etc. I am noting a stop at the lobby club desk on my spreadsheet now. Thanks again!

Thanks for the nice note! Hope y’all have fun.

m concerned about over-crowding (for Feb of course!) at the courtyard pool, good point! We are split 50/50 between MK time and Epcot Festival of the Arts time. Also glad that you tie Poly and BWI for winter - we stayed Poly CL and LOVED IT but we are trying to take advantage of the pass holder discount and Poly CL is alas already gone!
I don’t know what you’ll end up deciding to do, but I just wanted to let you know that we snagged a TPV CL room with AP discount at Poly for this past 4th of July just 7 days out! There was also a LV CL that popped up even later than that (with AP discount), so I guess people really do cancel just before that 5 day mark...so keep checking for that Poly room if you want it! However, I’m beginning to wonder if Disney didn’t even release any discounts for the first week of December in RPC since neither I nor my two other friends were able to get one:sad2:!

Hi everyone:
We have a Wilderness Lodge CL reservation for 3 nights this January- I have never stayed CL and am looking forward to trying it! We've also never stayed at Wilderness Lodge but visited many times and love the resort feel. But at the same time wondering if we should pay to upgrade to Polynesian CL-garden view room (~100 per night extra)? We will have a 18 month old and a 4 year old and pretty much focusing only on Magic Kingdom (we are doing a split stay with AKL CL) for the first part of our trip. I know hubby will appreciate being able to get back and forth to the room easily which is making me think Polynesian would be better. Also Polynesian has some wonderful memories going back to childhood for my husband. We stayed once as adults and loved it then too. But the food offerings at Wilderness Lodge sound like they would be better for our kids (they like PB&J but not for 3 nights straight!) and also after reading the review where the Poly chef scolded people for taking too many appetizers I feel like the CMs at Wilderness Lodge may be more friendly? Contemporary is out for us (don't like the 'theme', don't like being up on such a high floor with kiddos on a balcony). Those of you who have stayed in both, what is your preference? Thanks!

Congratulations on the FOP fast passes!!

Yes, they still have turn down service at WL CL. We came home two weeks ago and was very impressed with this service. Each evening we returned to prepared beds, chocolates and the tv tuned to WDW schedule channel. One day we came back to the room for a brief rest before attending the Sleepy Hollow event and my son got in the bed for a nap. When we got back later that night his bed had been straightened beautifully - a very pleasant and much appreciated surprise! Enjoy!
Thanks!!! I thinknis going to be a great trip!

Other than The Contemporary we feel that WL is the most convenient for traveling back and forth from MK.

We have stayed at both WL CL and Poly CL. Though it has been a few years since we've stayed at WL CL, from my experience plus more recent reviews, I do believe WL will offer better kid-friendly food selections as you noted. So if that plays a big factor into your decision, I'd stick with WL. We've found both friendly and non-friendly CM's at both resorts, so that's not a deal breaker for us.

However, as you noted, Poly will most likely be more convenient for your family in going back and forth to MK considering you will most likely have at least a single/possibly a double stroller/jogger. We have MANY trips under our belt with our twins and we very easily maneuvered a double jogger in and out of the monorail for many years.

Boat transportation at both WL and Poly with a stroller/jogger was "ok" for us. Depending on the size of the boat, you may be required to unload and fold the stroller. We didn't mind taking boats, but we didn't find it nearly as easy with a stroller as the monorail is.

Does anyone out there know what the availability of beer and wine is at the Regatta Club (YC CL) through the day? At AKL earlier this year, I was able to request mimosas at breakfast and wine with midday/early afternoon snacks, and other CLs seem to offer drinks through the afternoon as well. Everything I've found for YC makes it seem like those beverages aren't available until 5:00. Is that accurate?

No you can request beer or wine anytime and they will get it for you. I've never asked for a mimosa so I don't know if that is available.

I asked the YC CL concierge if dogs were allowed on the floor and they said yes they just can't go in the lounge. They are welcome in any room at the YC.

We are staying CL in December and they told me pets on 1st floor Garden and Lagoon only. Ugh.

If what you say is the case, that may change things for us.

They need to figure out what's going on. It's extremely annoying each CM has a different response.

It is so annoying.
The DSS folks and the CL CM's need to make sure they are giving out accurate info.
Many thanks to everyone who are posting CL updates.

I just posted on the thread. It seems we are still getting conflicting information. :confused3

Totally! I wish it was more clear but not entirely surprised and I feel like that particular issue - whether dog friendly rooms will be on the club floor or if they will be elsewhere (More convenient to egress?) and the guests will have acess - is a big discrepancy! Thanks for posting your info - I guess we'll see what happens! Thanks for posting it - Hope you have a great trip!

Can someone who has CL reservations write an email to their club level Concierge contact and get is straight from them.

You're welcome! I agree, Disney needs to give more notice (and options) when they make changes like this. With that said, I'm glad a room was available and you were able to change your reservation :).

That was my first thought when I read Maxie's post. A dog might not make it when having to take a 4 or 5 floor elevator ride and walk through a lobby to get outside. I agree with you, it's going to be a circus for sure! :sad2:

I agree with both of the above! :thumbsup2

People have contacted DSS, as well as talked to CL CMs onsite (see post by Maxie86) and information is still inconsistent :sad2:.

Update

According to a Trip Advisor review dated Nov 3, a guest shared a YC CL experience with their pet dog. They posted photos of the dog on the bed and a view from what appears a high floor room facing Epcot. So, it appears that Maxie86 is correct - pets are welcome in any room at the resort.

I am not happy, since I was assured it was first floor only. Now, 3 weeks out, our choices have severely dwindled.

^^ Since that poster was reviewing the CL lounge and provided pics of it I guess we can assume that they are letting dogs up on the 5th floor. I don't have a reservation at the YC CL, and won't be making one in the future. But I don't like the way that WDW can't just tell guests what the policy is and instead tells people it's limited to certain rooms when it simply isn't the case.

I could be wrong, but that picture of the outside view looks like it was taken from the lounge.

The review also says the room had a “large verandah” which would indicate a ground floor room.

But then they also say that “everyone, from the valet to concierge check in to the rest of the resort staff, could not have been nicer and seemed as if pets were always welcome.” Sounds like the dogs might have been allowed on the CL floor, at least for check-in.

I have mixed feelings about the dogs. On the one hand, that dog looks amazing and he seems to be having a magical time. On the other hand, he is on the bed: the very same bed that I may be sleeping on next visit.

I have dogs and I know that it's hard to clean up all of the hair. They should really have dog-specific rooms so people know what they are getting.

Dogs are becoming more accepted at various events and locations all over and I don't think that is going to change, so we are going to have to deal with it. I just hope Disney makes good decisions going forward.
