Thank you for posting all those pics! The Poly room looks lovely (love that view), and the BC suite looks amazing!

The suite was gorgeous! It even smelled new - if that makes any sense!!!!

Thanks! She is such a good little traveler - this was our 9th trip to WDW in her little lifetime and she cried on and off our last day because she was so sad to leave! She kept saying throughout our trip "I love it here at Disney World"... makes me want to plan another trip (before our Xmas one)!!

I was in a bit of shock when I got his text - my heart started racing and I couldn't believe it! One upgrade for Poly was plenty! It was extremely magical! To then get a HUGE one at BC too - I just couldn't believe it! Not until he started sending pictures did I honestly believe the amount of pixie dust that we we showered with!

Im staying in a one bed suite at BC , can i ask is the day bed comfy as that will probably be my bed (nanny) ,daughter and grand daughter will have the king bed. also did i see another sofa in the living area?..also can you recommend any room requests ? many thanks

My DD4 slept on the day bed as she wanted to stay in the same room as us - it was OK on the comfy-scale - she was fine with it and didn't complain at all. There was a full pull out couch in the living room area - we did not pull it open to see about the mattress on it. We gave her the option of her "own" room or our room - I was actually glad she chose our room because then I could go out and sit on the couch in the living area in the mornings while DH and DD were catching up on some extra sleep.

Thanks for the help uploading photos! I think I got the ones here that most would be interested in. It was such an amazing vacation! Can't wait to visit again over Christmas (although non-CL) and then hopefully again next summer for another 2 week CL adventure!

Your pictures inspired us to make the trip over to the Poly today. We stopped and asked to see the rooms. . Had a really nice CM bring us up to a room in Samoa. Liked it so much my husband almost asked to get moved from WL right then! He brought us over to see the Club lounge. Now we don't know what to do next summer. BC/Poly split, BC/AKL, Poly/AKL? Argh! I need a job at Disney!

Very new to this and just happened to stumble upon your thread So excited I did because I have lots of questions Here's situation. I tried to book a DVC rental for Feb 18-21, 2016 but they were all booked So I decided to go all out and get Poly Club level This is a surprise booking for my mom She has always wanted to stay at the Poly since the first time I came when I was around 13-14. My dad, nephew, and my hubby are going to Daytona 500 so mom and I are sneaking away to Disney. Right now I just did a Garden View with no discounts. If one is offered I would take it. If one is offered would you go with free dining or room discount? Also if price went down would you go with Garden View still or would you upgrade to theme park view if available?

My plans right now are
2-18 drive from Daytona, be there around 10 and then go to park. Surprise mom with a massage at Grand Floridian To room for rest, then back to park (if we feel like it)
2-19 lounge, park, whatever we want to do and then head to Ohana for dinner
2-20 Keys to Kingdom Tour
2-21 park until we leave to go back to Daytona

Trying to do some surprises for her! Keeping secret of room is bad enough!

Since you were at BC this time, I'd do a Poly/AKL split. We love both the Poly and AKL and although we haven't tried CL at either one, they are both on our list to try .

Welcome to the CL thread .

What a great surprise you have planned for your mom! A room discount with just 2 adults would most likely be better than FD at the Poly, but it would depend on what the discount is as sometimes certain resorts are offered at a lower percentage than others. If both are offered for your dates, you would have to run the numbers to see which is the better deal. As far as upgrading the room, we aren't ones to pay for views, so if it were me, I'd stick with GV (but that's just me).

DH & I have stayed AKL CL. We really liked it. Took the kids to see the hotel and got to see a room. They liked it too. So that might be it, but BC is whereally we seems to be most comfortable so it may be hard to not stay there!

I don't know for sure how many table service meals that we would have. I figured we would probably do a few counter service meals for lunch. I just didn't know about the room since the GV faces the pool and I'm not sure when construction ends for it!

We stayed at Beach Club CL earlier this month. When you check in the Cast Member will give you the number to text to get the fourth Fast Pass. Have a wonderful trip!

I would do the Poly/BC split. I have never stayed at AKL before, and it looks really cool and gets good reviews, but it is just not as convenient to the parks IMO. Now after the Avatar attraction opens, my opinion may change! When is that supposed to be, spring 2017? Until then, I think a monorail resort/Epcot resort split would be the best!

Edit: I was curious, so I looked up the expected Avatar opening date, and it only said 2017...so spring may be too optimistic Hurry up, Disney!

I think we are leaning towards that. I also think I need to do the new resort first and end with what we know. The 2 times that we've tried it the other way it just doesn'the work out as well.

According to people who have stayed very recently, Poly isn't offering the texting service yet. It sounds like it's only offered at BC/YC, GF, and I think Contemporary, although it sounds like not all the CMs at Contemporary know about the service yet?? Since this is a pretty new service and has been tested at resorts other than the resorts already using it regularly, it could be rolled out at all the CLs at any time (unless that's not Disney's plan, but I hope it is)! I would ask a CL CM when you check in because they could add it by then.

I forgot about the pool construction. It will most likely still be in progress in February as I don't think it's scheduled to be completed until spring .

Question about planning - we are scheduled to be at a CL poly room third week of December . We were told we would be contacted about scheduling things because we are club level - how far in advance should we expect to hear from someone? Is it still too early to be planning things? What things can they help plan?

Thanks in advance - Never done the CL thing so I feel lost lol (Though I have a feeling after this experience I won't ever want to stay at anything other than CL ever again lol )

I got an email the day after we booked about help with planning - they'll make ADR's for you and arrange childcare, or reservations for special event like the Princess Tea at GF or the Luau.
