Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

About to do a photo dump from the GF SL portion of my trip two weeks ago. Hope you don't mind!

Actually, I didn't really get too many good photos on this trip. For one, it's hard to take pictures in this lounge. The food service area is kinda small and I found I never had a good chance to take photos without anyone else around or without bothering other people. Also the lounge itself isn't particularly bright so my photos seem dark.

Here's a view of the lounge looking down from the third floor. This was during evening apps (or maybe desserts), you can see the wine/beer cart set up there behind the CM desk. This is manned (although not in this pic). Hard to see but there are little Dasani bottles on the CM desk. They are out pretty much all the time.

Ground shot of said alcohol bar. I never had any problem with this setup, always happy to provide a glass, plastic cup, whatever. I very rarely use the CL CMs for anything but I'm not sure I really liked this setup? If you do need to use them your business is sort of out in the open for everyone to see/hear.

Breakfast, as expected, was pretty much the same every day. I really missed just plain hard boiled eggs, they had these Deviled Egg things out every day. Wasn't really a fan.

They have more offerings, just impossible to get pics. Two varieties of yogurt (scoop yourself), cereals, oatmeal, various meats (turkey, ham, etc), salmon, etc. Pretty normal CL stuff.

Beverages....

Coffee and Nespresso machine....to go cups were available which I always appreciate.

More coffee/Nespresso machine.

I wish Disney would just install a tap for filtered water instead of having CM's constantly having to fill these carafes.

Hiya. This was from a few weeks ago. Important question about your SL stay. Did they have lox/smoked salmon?? Anyone know about RPC? Urgent info! :goodvibes :rotfl2:

SL had smoked salmon out every day, I suspect RPC does too. Yes, this IS critical info! :-)

Excellent, thank you! Wife loves smoked salmon, and it's actually pretty expensive, so that alone justifies our CL stay. :thumbsup2 Now to decide to pay $1000 more for RPC or not. That would be a LOT of smoked salmon. ;)

That stinks o_O I really enjoy getting them!!
I received something the other day. Now that the kids are older, we switched from October stays to August stays with the magical discount. I do have a non TA, non discounted AKL CL reservation for December. We never get mailers with the TA reservations, so when I got the mailer on our December trip, I was super excited for the elusive PIN. Alas, it was just our confirmation

The GFR's RPC has never been better! After suffering through its most dismal period in 2015 (e.g., some inferior meat offerings, running out of items, etc.) executive chef Scott Hunnel (the master at V&A's) assumed responsibility for all the GFR's food and beverages last year. Since our arrival at the GFR last Sunday, not only have we experienced improved quality on every level but we have enjoyed the additional offerings served at the custom stations occupied by a GFR chef during Twilight Refreshers. And yesterday, a Mickey Waffle station was set up! Believe it or not, more improvements are forthcoming, according to management. For veteran repeat RPC guests, this is good news to say the least...and long overdue.

All the best! :thumbsup2

Sounds awesome! Are the waffles out every day? Can you share with us some of the evening hot appetizers? Thank you!

Speciality small plates: surf & turf, orange-chocolate creme brulee, risotto balls.

All the best! :thumbsup2

Thank you! Everything sounds good, but The only thing I'd probably eat is the waffles :guilty: I'm too picky! :sad2:

Mornings also feature the addition of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, and warmed egg fritattas, warmed pecan sticky buns, and deviled eggs. Add to this lineup the usual assortment of cereals, fruit, buns, bagels, and breads. And there's a platter of various meats and cheese.
The lineup is designed for "picky" eaters! :bounce:

Thank you! Wow, breakfast sounds great!!!! Wish I liked the evening offerings! :guilty: Enjoy the rest of your trip!!

Hiya. This was from a few weeks ago. Important question about your SL stay. Did they have lox/smoked salmon?? Anyone know about RPC? Urgent info! :goodvibes :rotfl2:

@psac - I responded earlier that SL had smoked salmon out for breakfast. I'm starting to question whether I'm remembering that correctly. I really thought they did, but since it sounds like they don't have it at RPC currently and @trishadono (who was at SL a few weeks before me) reported none out during her trip, I'm questioning my memory. I checked my pics and unfortunately don't have any of the full breakfast spread to prove whether I'm crazy or not.

I know they had it at CR Tower where I spent the second part of that trip, so I may have this messed up in my head.

Anyway, just wanted to warn you in case I'm wrong!

You are so right! Critical Question!! Does anyone know if AKL CL has this in the AM?

My wife stayed in a BWI Deluxe Room back in Feb. Her room was on the third floor, I think more towards the Bakery than Flying Fish. I asked her if being on the 3rd floor was inconvenient. She said "yes, it was until we found the staircase you could take up to four, otherwise it was a long walk to the elevator." She was pretty down on the access to the lounge until she found the staircase - after that she said it was fine.

These were some views and pics in case helpful!

Great pictures! Thank you! We have a deluxe club room booked for 12/9-12/15 and I've been on Touring Plans, trying to decide if I should request a 4th floor room. Your pix are making me think maybe 3rd floor....or just take our chances? We are huge balcony fans, that's why we're finally springing for this room category. This view from the 3rd floor almost makes you feel like you're down there on the Boardwalk! Did she have any complaints re:noise or ever wish she was up on the 4th floor?

No, she didn't really have any complaints about her room or being on the 3rd floor.... once she found the stairs to the 4th floor for easier lounge access. :-)

She did say they were woken up one morning at 6AM with a service worker rolling a big cart down the boardwalk... although I suspect that would bother folks on the 4th floor too.

No worries. Thanks to everyone for the lox info!! :) we'll live without them, even if it's a minor travesty. ;). All the offerings sound really good anyway. Thanks!
