Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

IMG_9978.jpegIMG_9896.jpegIMG_9765.jpegIMG_9744.jpegWe had a great stay at Atrium Club after being moved a few weeks before from our anticipated Tower Club stay. We had the only King Bed room on the 12th floor which was right next to the lounge. 2vets must have been there right after us as we were there the first night that the Hot Honey chicken was introduced. The chefs were circulating most nights and seemed to care about and appreciate the guests reactions to the food offerings. I had an odd request to have one or two uncrustables still in its packaging because I like to have that before my runs (I was there for the Princess half) because they served them in the afternoon opened and cut in quarters. They brought me 4. My husband asked for a beer while we were waiting for our driver on our last day and they brought him 2. The seating in the lounge was odd with its set up that most seats would have their back to the view. We utilized the tables near the elevators a lot. The lounge was crowded during Happily Ever After each night (as were the elevator banks in the Contemporary leading up to it each night). Since our room had the same view, we chose to watch it from there and then enjoy a mostly empty lounge afterwards. Couldn’t hear the music from our room but I was okay with that since it usually makes me an emotional mess.

2vets covered food pictures but I am adding a few pics of the lounge from our favorite seat that had a view and the actual view itself.IMG_9979.jpeg

Did you know they have a channel on the tv that plays the firework music?

Thanks for the info. A rooftop bar is always nice though 😉 I think I would miss a balcony though. We like to sit out with morning coffee and adult beverages.

I hear you on this. I travel so much in non balcony hotels that when I’m on vacation I just really want that outdoor space - it’s not the same without it. Drove me a little nuts when we tried Royal Pacific last year TBH.

Hope you can make your trip worn out. All the Epic Universe commercials have certainly caught my family’s attention here.

Do I spy bring your own hot sauce? Most hotel lounges I go to have those mini Tabasco or other style hot sauces in the AM, but Disney, not so much. I wish they would to make the eggs a little more palatable.

Also good call on the Uncrustables - I ask for some for runD mornings too.

Thanks for sharing about your trip! Hope you had a nice runD weekend.

I remembered that they did but we never turned on the TV our entire vacation! And I didn’t want to get too emotional.

Haha! Yes! He did bring his own hot sauce on our trip but the Atrium Club had that same size out on the first 3 days of our trip. It was near the fruit and avocado toast with the salt and pepper. They ran out on day 4 so he brought his own that day but the club had it restocked by our last day.

Funny story: When we went through security in 2010, my husband had to throw out his Tabasco sauce before entering Magic Kingdom because it was glass. But his Swiss Army knife was no problem. He had planned to use the hot sauce on a hotdog from Casey’s.

I had a great race weekend. Accomplished my goal of completing the challenge after doing it once before in 2017. Finished the half just seconds before the balloon ladies but still finished. Next I’ll be at Springtime Surprise staying at the Boardwalk Inn in a garden club room. Signed up for the challenge. Hope the Innkeepers Club also has uncrustables. :-)

Hello~ Old timer here, not too active on here anymore. But, we had a trip to GF planned for June. Had to reschedule for July and ended up booking BWI CL. I looked back about 10 pages and don't see any recent reports. Can anyone comment on the most recent offerings/experiences? It's been awhile since we have done CL, but we have stayed CL at WL, Poly, BC/YC in the past. It will be our 1st time at BWI. Thanks!
Bumping!

I haven't been doing a very good job keeping this thread updated :poop: but here's another bump up! I feel like someone was talking about BWI CL the other day but I can't remember... hopefully they'll show themselves!

Yes @Mousemommy1 was looking for current information on the Inn Keeper's Club offerings at the BWI.

Since BWI reopened from its refurb in May of 2023, I believe the offerings have been the same and on the standard 3 day rotation for breakfast and evening appetizers and desserts. Midday is the same every day. I would recommend looking on YouTube for videos. I find them to be the best to give an idea of the food and drinks and layout. I’m not sure that there are any notable experiences that I have experienced other than the warm hospitality.

Thank you!!! I did check out some YouTube videos. I was hoping for maybe some more still photos of the food offerings, but I will keep looking!

Back from WL CL. Got a call a little over a week out our 2 CL resort view rooms were not in inventory due to work associated with the roof and we were being moved to Deluxe CL rooms. I was concerned but you guys helped calm my concerns of distance from club and noise. Here's how it went!

Room: Nice with the extra space, but I don't see myself paying up for those rooms due to distance from the club/lobby. They are still stocking the mini-fridges. We had the 2 rooms on Floor 1 and this was the key that made this whole thing ok. We have an ECV user and a couple of us have on again, off again issues with stairs so had we been on another level it would have meant always walking down to the elevator at the end of the hall. Being on Floor 1 the instant access to the boats and hot tubs was great, we were at the hot tubs every day! The noise level was fine, I think these rooms have extra sound proofing. Electrical Parade was about 1 notch down from my morning alarm though and louder in the living room. Was able to mostly see it from the living room so pretty cool if you're a fan. If you have kids, forget them sleeping until that is done. When it comes back around you can hear it pretty good but not as loud and we couldn't see anything. Balconies were so tiny they were utterly useless. I was surprised how dark the bedroom got despite all the windows, great for sleeping. Housekeeping got to us every single day!

Club: Aside from one issue, solid. The food can double for dinner depending on your dining preferences and you should be able to fill up for breakfast easily. Their allergy accommodations were amazing! Our dairy allergy was even able to get scrambled eggs made without dairy in the mornings. It does take more time so plan accordingly. I saw some people get Mickey ice cream bars during the day so that might be a quiet offering but I didn't ask. Cobblers were Strawberry Peach, Mixed Berry, Apple Cranberry. Apple was my favorite by far. They were always accompanied by ice cream and a couple mini-cupcakes. I usually don't like Disney CL mini-cupcakes but they had an orange and lemon I enjoyed and the dark chocolate candy on top was fun. Dishes were cleared promptly, sometimes mid-meal as the tables are small but they were always polite about asking if we were done with stuff. It was very quiet, we were always able to find a place for our party of 4 at a table we could drive the ECV up to no less.

The issue- the wine selection was actually ok for a Disney Club, northwest wines and it's the same stuff you'll get offered at the hotel bars. Except the sparkling. They snuck a cheaper one called Los Dos Brut from Spain in. Gag me, just serve Barefoot and call it a day. I thought they were temporarily out as Michelle Brut was listed on their "menu" but around day 3 when I asked for the Michelle Brut and pointed it was on the menu they went in back and put one in the fridge to chill- of course that takes a couple hours so that was annoying. Rinse and repeat for the next day. (It did not help that a group was being served a sparkling rose at that time one day but when I asked a CM if they had a sparkling rose I was told that was a special thing for the group- like, they know their sparkling is so crap they make sure special groups don't have to drink it? Idk, super weird vibes with that whole situation, never saw the group again.) The next day they finally updated their menu to reflect their bad choice in sparkling wine and it listed Los Dos Brut. Like, Michelle Brut is a pretty cheap sparkling to start with and isn't anything I'd ever buy at home but it's drinkable when you really want a sparkling and some vacay vibes. This switch is just management being cheap. I suspect long-term this bodes badly for the rest of the wine list.
