Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I don’t think I saw it mentioned since the 2023 dates opened, but it seems like you aren’t able to book BWI CL access rooms for Feb-May. Maybe they are planning to refurbish the rooms during that time, but it seems like a long time for it all to be closed especially during some of their busier ($$) times. I also noticed BWI water view rooms seemed scarce.

Hello everyone! I've been reading all morning, and have 3 different carts going for a trip in May 2023. I would love your opinions on the following thoughts I am entertaining! Hubby and I will be on a 6 or 7
night trip. We want CL (first time!) for sure and there will be no parks this time around, just massive relaxing with CL food, drinks, and pool time. We would love, love to watch fireworks from our resort! So, CL food, drinks, a fabulous pool, and fireworks. We are not opposed to a split stay. Suggestions?

I don’t know, Lene mentioned that they were getting “all new tech” with the refurb, she didn’t know when they were starting but one of the desk CMs said they’d likely start with CL first and then work their way down. They were also touching up paint everywhere but stopped outside of the CL area. The “new tech” was in reference to the magic band readers on the doors (mine had died and I was locked out, we talked about this while she was helping me), and so I think it’s pretty much a gut job so it’ll take a while.

The best for that is any MK area resort, but the pool at CR isn’t fantastic for just sitting out at. Both GF and Poly have pretty good food. Poly is a bit more laid back, but lounge can get a bit busy it seems. While GF can be a bit more formal feeling I do like that the CL has multi levels to lounge on (since it’s only main building RPC now), and so you can always find some place to sit and relax. I had a deluxe king room at GF in one of the turrets, and could see fireworks from my room from both MK and Epcot, so that was pretty awesome to just grab dessert from the lounge, put my robe on, and enjoy back-to-back fireworks shows.

My thing kept acting up while trying to edit my last response to you, but wanted to come back and say you can book CL rooms during that time period. I thought I had seen yesterday while booking my March trip that they were there (and REALLY expensive), and I just went to look and they are there in March for all room categories in CL for that time period.

Hey guys! So I was just trolling the DVC booking site this morning and an AK CL night popped up during the time we are booked to stay there! Of course, I booked it immediately!! So, my question is, to those who have stayed recently… is there anything there this extremely picky eater can eat during evening hot apps?!? 😬 I mean, I’m fine with a liquid dinner too, if necessary, but just thought I’d ask! 😏 Thank you for your help!!
We stayed in May, Butter Chicken with butternut squash soup, another night falafel with some kind of corn chowder, another night a spicy chicken with rice and a tomato based soup. Definitely a more African theme than any other club level. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply! Hope you enjoyed it!

That’s interesting! I’ve checked several times and nothing is available for our early April dates. The TA that was also checking for me said it was Feb-May, so not sure what is going on, but definitely nothing in early April.

Getting ready to make ADRs this weekend. Anyone been to Fleishman fish lately? Debating that or Yachtsman. My kids will get steak. I could go either way, steak or fish.

Thank you for your reply. I am so out of the loop, I haven't been to Disney since 2015! Before that, we stayed between WL and Pop Century. So looking forward to a total splurge. I see that there is a Theme park view CL at Poly, do I need to book that to enjoy the fireworks? Or will any other CL do at Poly? GF is one of the 3 that is in my cart. Torn between a split stay, .... How is the pool at GF? Poly pool looks beautiful!!

As far as fireworks at Poly, you don't need a theme park view room to enjoy them at all, you can see them easily from the beach and they pipe in music. As far as pools at GF, they have multiple. I'm not a pool person so I haven't actually gone to swim at any of them, but I have friends that stayed at GF in the last year that love the pool right outside of the Sugarloaf building, but there is also one that is like a big mountain with a slide that looks like a lot of fun. I could see both from my deluxe king room and neither got crazy (unlike the Poly main pool that can get really packed at times, but Poly does have a quiet pool too). I'm not against split stays myself, I have one coming up in a little over a week that I JUST made a split stay lol. If you can't decide just do half at one and half at the other, best of both worlds.

I checked the first week of April too, during our own spring break because we still don't know what we're doing, and all BWI CL rooms were available (everything but the Sanora suite). Who knows, but that is really strange.

Thankyou! Reading the threads is fun, but asking questions about specific wants is a bit easier! I have done splits usually pop century ( when parks are involved) and then over to WL for the end to relax. I am looking forward to it, a split stay would be great. I originally was thinking Poly or AK CL. We previously canceled last September (personal choice with the pandemic) I am so on board with this! Once in a blue moon adventure for us😊❤️

A few details first... we are heading to the Beach Club in August and are staying club level. I'm super thrilled to have that back as an option. We've always enjoyed staying club level at WDW.

That said, I know a ton has changed since our last club level visit such as no more pre-arrival planning available (gawds I really missed this yesterday when I had to get up at 3am PST to try to book stuff).

My question is, what are the current 'perks' offered to club level guests given all the pandemic changes outside of the lounge and the offerings there?

There are still dedicated cast members to help while you’re there. The rooms have robes & slippers (usually). There may be extra toiletries, like solar gel, foot rub & a personal care kit, with q tips & cotton wipes. There have been a few reports of welcome treats. We were given macaroons at CR Tower Club, nothing at YC. The lounge is the biggest perk.

Yes, we were given a some salt water taffy at BWI. I think it’s also nice just to have someone there to help with any problems should they arise. I had MB issues galore (turns out the MB reader on my door was dying), but they fixed it with a smile and I didn’t have to trudge all the way downstairs to the front desk. Just nice to have someone closer and dedicated to helping just CL folks. I do agree though that the lounge was the biggest perk, after seeing the line at the new Starbucks in Epcot (and always at MK) I was happy I had my free coffee in the lounge.

That is crazy! I went right to book at 8 am yesterday 4/1-4/7 at BWI, and nothing Club Level or standard water view showed. Everything else on property was available, but not there. I even checked 4/1-/4/4 because I ultimately ended up booking BC CL for those dates and then CR tower CL for 4/4-4/7. I’ve checked a bunch of times since, and still no luck for BWI.

I just checked too. Looks to me like it is available until March 6th, anything after that shows unavailable until May 26.

That is really weird, because the 4/1-4/7 is what I put in when checking in April, and there it was even water view. Of course this is Disney IT and all, could be weird glitches, but on March 10-13 it showed rooms for me, and then the April 1-7 same thing just no big fancy suite.
