Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Do we think that the reduced housekeeping will apply to club level if it continues into the fall? Surprisingly this and lack of fireworks were the 2 items I ended up missing most on my May trip. I just honestly feel like telling guests that have paid rack rate club level over the 50th anniversary that they can only get fresh towels or their garbage emptied every other day is not the concierge experience expected.

Well I also saw someone posted that only “pre-packaged items would be available in club lounges....hopefully this will not be the case.

No daily housekeeping and only pre packaged CL items all rate a hard NO with us. It is too early to speculate on what CL will actually look like. We're just gonna have to wait until an official Disney announcement comes out with regards to CL services. Until then, we just have to hope that things continue to open up and experiences continue to evolve in the right direction.
As long time AP holders as well as Deluxe resort fans, it pains me to say that we're considering other destinations...at least until Disney is back to what we know and love.

There are non CL rooms that cost well over 1k a night and they get the same housekeeping as everyone else- I have no doubt it would apply to CL rooms as well. I’d be more worried about having to brown bag it than I would housekeeping. That’s definitely not the CL experience I want, but I’m betting it’s what it will be. It’s what keeps me from booking CL. I’m waiting to see what the service really is.

I'm with you. We have 2 rooms booked for the first week of December, one CL and one none CL. If daily housekeeping is still not back, we're just gonna push the week into 2022. I won't pay the current rates without the special feeling of the previous CL offerings. Brown bagging isn't gonna cut it.

Waves to the special Ed folks ❤ I work in a unit that protects intellectually and developmentally disabled folks from harm, specifically abuse, neglect, and exploitation. I read this thread all the time but don't post a lot.

It is hard to return to a restaurant after a negative experience, especially when it is Disney prices and so many other options. The first, and only time, we ate at Flying Fish was terrible and I have never gone back.

I loved AKL CL and would do it again, if the prices were not so insane. I fell in love with that nespresso machine, making supper whipped foam hot chocolate, more foam than liquid. It was good with the cordials mixed in too. 😍 Do any of the other CL have that?

I just want to say THANK YOU for the job you do. Besides being a special ed teacher, I have an adult son (still living with me) with autism-- this is my biggest fear for him when I am on day not here. 😭

Yes, I REALLY missed daily housekeeping on our trip in June. We ended up being in the main building. I REALLY missed housekeeping and breakfast, the drinks.... heck, EVERYTHING! I REALLY missed the CMs, too--- especially Abdul!

Not a Disney resort, but I'm looking for any opinions/reviews anyone might have on Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes Orlando, specifically CL. I scrolled through almost 10 pgs of the Orlando Hotels & Attractions forum but didn't see anything. I thought maybe I'd get a little more input here regarding CL than on the other forum. TIA for any suggestions/opinions anyone can offer :flower3:.

Curious as well. It appears to be a beautiful place. For grins, I checked the reviews on Trip Advisor.....hmm......as with any review site, some good/some bad.......

Interesting you should ask this. I am in NEED of a quick trip down (even tho I just went in May.....I also need an intervention, but that's another post). The Ritz with it's CL offerings looks so tempting but when I pretend to book a trip with CL, it only shows the price for a standard room. Still undecided because it looks so good I might like it too much to even leave the club level for the parks! Have you checked reviews on Trip Advisor or are you just wanting Dis fans to respond?

We talked with Abdul three weeks ago. He is working at the Yacht club marketplace. He teared up when we told him that we missed him and we just had to come and say hello. He is a true gem the RPC.

I don't mind 'reduced housekeeping' but I would request towels and trash removal daily.

For what it’s worth, Disney is definitely trying to hire more Housekeepers. There was a Full-Time posting back in late May and another one this week both Part-Time and Full-Time with a $1000 bonus. So I’d say they’re striving to return to daily housekeeping but as with most things, it’s a staffing issue.

I may be in the minority, but aside from the bathroom - Im not liking the new Contemporary rooms at all. Definitely hope a code can be applied to my RPC reservation or the Poly opens up CL for the Fall!

Definitely not the minority. I'm honestly kicking myself for not booking the Poly (or GF) for the 50th weekend instead. Obviously a lot will depend on how CL will be functioning at that time but I would rather stay at Poly even without CL than CR. I will see what my gf thinks.

I'll be honest. With the MK walking path at GF now and the rooms looking like this at CR I have no desire to ever stay at CR. Nothing about it appeals to me other than the location and the GF to MK walk is so much prettier.

Abdul is who I thought of when there were posts about CMs who have been placed elsewhere returning to their old roles. Abdul was the best. I asked for a Perrier once and ever since he would always have one chilled for me (whether I want it or not) 😆
