Seems like a reasonable reason to ask for an exception. You were planning to use them and you couldn’t through no fault of your own.

Yes, but it's more complicated than that considering we need to be on the ball to plan 11 months out these days and can only borrow a 1/2 year of points at a time. Sorry, more detail than you needed, it's just not a simple, thing. Even if they allow me to bank them into 2021, I may not be able to use them. My next use year's points are already tied up in a trip in March of 2022.

The Main Building at GF is probably the best CL on property, but the price increases over the years have just made it too cost prohibitive to justify (and I have a pretty high price threshold, for Disney hotels) for a single hotel room. The Poly/CR starting in the low $700s is already pushing it and I just don’t think RPC is worth $400 more than that already extremely inflated price. If I’m going to pay that price I either want a suite or to be staying at one of the truly great 5 star hotels around the world out there.

I understand why and how Disney can charge so much for its hotels and am willing to pay and love staying CL, but at the end of the day, even the best hotels at Disney are not really world class. They are nice, but not in the same league as true luxury hotels out there charging similar prices (or often less). The RPC just crosses that line where I have to say enough for me. It’s nice, but not that much nicer than other CL’s.

Sadly, I completely agree with this. RPC is my absolute favorite CL at the World and I've coughed up the money on occasion to stay there because I love it so much. Even so, I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't painful to know that for what we spend for our family of 6 to stay there, we could take a luxury European vacation and, honestly, Europe might be cheaper.

Now that Disney seems to be slowly easing restrictions, let’s look forward. If Club Level does come back later this year, how do we expect they will release inventory... Will a bunch of club level rooms suddenly pop up for each resort, something more gradual...etc?

I’m still convinced I’m going to wake up one morning, fire up the DIS, and find a “guys, I just booked a CL room at XYZ resort” post on this thread. No announcement, no fanfare, they’ll just randomly show up as bookable.

Unless Disney decides to make CL as a thing go poof.

I have a two bedroom booked at Beach Club for November. It’s normally a room that has club level. I’m just hoping that if it comes back they’ll let me call and add it to my room and my in laws.

I will place my bet that CL returns in Sept. 2021 but I will not pick a specific date as I have for the Monorail return to the Polynesian of June 13th.

The Suites at YC / BC normally by default offer Club Level Services. What do you mean by you tired at the WL?

They are currently not offering CL rooms and the Deluxe rooms that also would normally have Club Level access don't currently have CL service offerings.

Disney is boud to have dozens of celebrities show up for the 50th, I'm curious where they'll be housed. I know they tend to offer up suites for them, but it would make sense for them to have at least one CL area open for them.

I’m usually pretty adamant about not booking before discounts come out. More available rooms, more reason for Disney to discount them. So hopefully if/when CL does come online it will be when fall discounts are out so I don’t have to make a decision!

Small technicality (sorry!)... DSS (or at least some shell of DSS or some group of CMs w/ DSS powers) has been open/available. I stayed in a cabin last year and got the normal call from DSS a few days after booking as usual, just as an example. They are also available for guests who have booked VIP tours.

I know, by “bring back” I mean “running back to normal”. Last year during the closures I was in touch with them to cancel the CL FPs we’d booked for our doomed May 2020 trip once we pulled the plug. I had to do it by email since they’d closed down the phone line, and the CM actually told me by way of apology that they basically had a tiny skeleton crew manning the email account and that was it, which is why it took them so long to get back to me. I assume there’s slightly more staff now than there was back then since the reopening with VIP tours running and they’re calling people again. Bringing back the social media CMs bodes well for a full return though.

We transferred from the Rivera to Yacht yesterday. We are on the 5th floor overlooking SAB and the boat dock. My magic band last nite stopped working for the room. Got the dreaded red light. lol! Anyway when she was fixing the band i asked when they are bringing back club level. She said the rumor is in the fall. I asked before or after the anniversary. She said all they know is sometime this fall. Hope this news helps someone somehow. And SAB did not look crowded also yesterday at around 1.

This would be a total game changer for my plans!!
