Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

AMAZING review, thank you!! can't wait to check in on Nov 7! I have requested a room close to the elevator with boardwalk view if available, and know it's just a request, but hopefully we will be dusted with a little pixie dust for our 25 anniversary trip :)
Did you find the walks overly long from the club rooms to get to lobby/boardwalk? I was really struggling with what to request for location of my room.
hopefully we are given a nice room without too long of a walk! :) fingers are crossed!

Just got back from 5 amazing days at the BWI CL - we were in room 4271 and had a great view of the boardwalk and the lake. We were just down the hall from the elevators and the host desk, a little further on to the lounge - amazing location. Housekeeping was fantastic, always leaving us taffy at night and turning down the beds, lots of extra shower gel etc and fresh towels. I had a birthday card, balloons and box of chocolate waiting for our arrival.

We checked in at 930 am but the room wasnt ready, had a text at 3pm that it was, this was fine since we were at Epcot all day.

The staff was outstanding, went above and beyond with service, remember our names and such - our favorite stay CL so far. I had made purchases and had them shipped back to the room but instead of going to the Screen Door to pick them up the CL delivered them to our room!

99% of the guests in the lounge were older people, they seemed to hang out all day - we only saw children twice and it was for a few minutes, it was so relaxing watching the Epcot fireworks from the lounge instead of the crowded park.

There was an incident where I had to go to the Celebration hospital at 5am and the staff was able to get us a taxi voucher so I didnt have to pay for the ride. (Thought I broke my wrist, it was a calcium deposit that "broke free" and tore the ligaments/tendons in my wrist. I was back in the room by 830)

Breakfast offerings were cheese and sliced ham, salami etc, plain and cinnamon raisin bagels, danish, croissants, hard boiled eggs, muffins and croissants, oatmeal with all the fixings, juice, white and chocolate milk, apple juice and sodas, melon berries etc as well as bananas, apples oranges, coffee cake, cereal, coffee and teas and the best Nespresso cappuccino machine that I want to buy for my house! Same items every single day, they had all the jellys, peanut butter, cream cheese, butter etc for you to use as well as flavored syrups for coffees and teas, honey lemon etc

Afternoon snacks were lame, do it your self trail mix, gummy fish, chocolate chip and sprinkle cookies, house made chips with hummus and dips, peanut butter jelly rolls - same snacks every day

We only made it to the dinner offerings twice. The first time was tomato soup with mini grilled cheese sandwiches, veggies, meats and cheeses, peanut butter roll ups, breads, hummus. The second time was amazing, cream of potato soup with chopped chives and bacon to add (real bacon!) cous cous, veggies, meats and cheeses, foccaccia, rolls, chicken nuggets, pork belly sliders, peanut butter roll ups. We canceled a dinner and just ate in the lounge it was sooo good! The CL host was able to cancel 2 of our reservations for us without penalty as they had other guests that wanted the same reservations - win win

Dessert at night was not bad - the same cookies again, chocolate and vanilla cream puffs, chips and dip, key lime tarts, cinnamon coffee cake, fruit tarts, mini smore tarts, mickey mouse ear bon bons, brownies etc

I just cannot tell you how friendly and fun the staff is - they really made our stay alot of fun Next time I book the BWI it will def be CL!

Those of you who are just getting back from your fall Wdw vacations, let me know if your resort offered text messaging services. And if so, was fastpass available via text? This is probably the question I get asked the most and I want to keep our information as up to date as possible. Especially with the Christmas holidays coming. :)
Thanks!!!!

That's great service...and as a coffee drinker, I would certainly appreciate it! :thumbsup2

On another note...have you done any more planning for your DL trip?
We just purchased a lake house! :banana:Dh has wanted a house on this lake(he grew up summers there) and we found a great location with a charming 1929 built house! Needless to say, my Disney trips beyond what I have planned will be few and far between:(

My goal to stay at all resorts is almost complete! With bwi/bc cl split and AoA planned I only have SSR left(I really don't care if I get that one).

So I am trying to read up on bwi, and aoa plus looking forward to bc cal with all the new changes.

My Disneyland trip! Knowing we have the Fairy Tale Suite:goodvibes!!!!

Looking forward to the perks! Room is next to the CL lounge. We have a corner room with fantastic views! The room is amazing with that king bed, and huge tub and steam shower!!!

Then we get VIP seating for all shows and parades. We just tell them what we want and we get it. No waiting on a curb for 2hours for a parade! Nope! Just walk up to our private seating area 5 minutes prior! That perk will be helpful for our one and only Disneyland trip:woohoo:

I actually am most looking forward getting a weekend with dh for F&W. We haven't been to Disney together since our family trip in January 2014. He was there with dd last march(they did a Disney institute class for her birthday) .

He arrives late on the 13th and in the morning we move to BC. Hope it's warm so we can enjoy SAB. :flower1:

BC CL PEEPS: can you request wine from lounge to bring out to SAB? I forgot all about that!

I didn't know the Fairytale Suite gets you all those perks too! RPC needs to up their game!! But I guess that will never happen since they're always sold out:( Anyway....the BC CL wine to pool question.... Of course, we did that in June:) I think we put it in to-go cups ourselves, however.

I enjoyed that review too! Funny thing is, if you hadn't replied to it, I would've missed it somehow??!! I am confused about my room request for BWI CL in early December too, so please let me know your thoughts when you get back:) I'm guessing they already discontinued the afternoon tea sandwiches since I heard no mention of them in that review:( I hope you find that they are back!! Have a great trip!!!

Thank you for your review! I'm checking into CL on Nov 7-11 for my 25 anniversary with DH. I was wondering did you find your room far from the lobby/ or where you go to get busses?? I am trying to decide if i should request a room close to the elevator, or if i'd prefer being closer to the lounge!? I don't want too long of a walk to our room after walking all day in the parks!

Our room was closer to the lounge ENTRANCE (the security door is bit of a walk through a very COLD hallway to the lounge itself). Here's the layout from Touring Plans

Oh, and one more detail - to get to the bus, you must take the elevator down to the lobby, then exit through the front, and walk the path (shown in gray on the left of the rooms in the photo above) to the bus stop - yes - at the end of a long day, it's a long walk back to your room.

To exit the building to go to EPCOT - you must also take the elevator to the lobby, then go down the steps (or take the OTHER elevator) to the first floor and exit by the Belle View Lounge, then walk past the Flying Fish restaurant, to EPCOT - probably about a 5-10 minute walk altogether.

For HS, you still go all to the way to the 1st floor, but there is a short cut by the Luna pool that does cut off a few steps. That took us about 15-20 minutes to walk (not real fast walkers).

You can also take the boats to either of these two - the stops coming back from HS are Dolphin/Swan, Beach/Yacht, Boardwalk, Epcot, and opposite going TO HS. You can make the trip quicker from HS to Boardwalk by getting off the boat at Dophin/Swan and walking across the bridge to the Boardwalk.

Walking beats the boat every time, but depends on you level of tiredness.

OK so if I understand this right they have added ten rooms to the Innkeeper club level that are not inside the security door? I was afraid they were adding the whole 4th floor to CL so that's a little better than what I was thinking. Did you find the lounge area any more crowded? Sorry I can't remember if you said you had stayed there before or not. The lounge does not have that much seating at the busy times so I"m thinking if you add ten more rooms (up to 50 more people) it will be hard to navigate at the busy times. It also looks like the new rooms are not lake view.

I had never stayed CL before, so I don't know it if was more crowded or not....perhaps someone else could answer that for you. When we stopped in for breakfast in the AM, it was sometimes difficult to find a table, but most people don't stay long, and they clear the dishes and wipe the tables pretty quickly. We never were able to sit on the couch or side chairs as there was usually someone there watching TV - often kids as they played movies and cartoons a lot.

The room outside the security door are on both sides of the hallway - half Standard that face the gardens, half face the front - probably limited view of the water. Seems to me that these are "Water view" if I remember the touring plans description.

EDITED TO ADD: Overall, I thought that the BWI Club lounge was smaller than I expected. After viewing the photos, it looked bigger to me than it really is.

Is this recent? We stayed at BWI CL January 2014 in a deluxe room and it was outside the security door. We rarely had to ever open the door because the CM would somehow know we were approaching and hit the automatic opener.

I thought the lounge was crowded when we stayed there last year. We always took our food to our room.

When we stayed Feb. 2015 the CL CM told us that they would soon be adding more rooms to the CL because they were adding rooms from another fourth floor wing. Back before they did work on the original lounge they were hoping that the lounge was going to be expanded but that got scrapped due to costs. Then Disney re did the Garden rooms and took out the sleeper sofa making these rooms only good for two guests instead of four. I thought that was to help with the crowding of the lounge since they had decided not to expand it. Guess I thought wrong if they added ten more hotel rooms to the CL. I think all they did was put a small sign on each door that says Innkeepers club on them.

It's a little disappointing because you can't book for different locations and views at the BWI CL. If you want boardwalk view or to actually be within the security door you can request it but that's all. They do have 6 deluxe rooms that are boardwalk view but for 2 people it seems like a waste of room. The reason we love the BWI CL so much is that it was always one of the smaller CL and you had to have key (card or now magic band) to get in and it was a hotel within the hotel. You also got a chance to talk to the CM and they weren't run ragged trying to deal with a lot of guests. I doubt they will hire more staff!

Our room was just steps to the elevator in one direction, steps in the other to the CL host desk and a few steps beyond that to the lounge itself When I did online check in and when the CL emailed me for room requests I said my first preference was close to the lounge ie on the same floor, close to elevator, view upgrade (booked standard room) and a king bed. I received everything but the king bed so I was super happy

Yes there is very little seating, one sofa, four or five 2 seater tables and four or five 4 seater tables. Alot of people took stuff back to their rooms. We used the lounge for every breakfast, at 7-8am it was empty, after that it was pretty full. Snack time the lounge was always empty. Dinner time, right at 5pm was pretty busy but thinned out after that. Dessert and cordial time the place was empty - except at 9pm when the fireworks were going off. We went for coffee at 930 and were the only ones in there - had a great chat with Lorenzo, he is the nicest CM!

Most times the CM Host at the desk opened the door for us but a few times we had to use our bands to open the door. The hallway from the host desk to the lounge was FREEZING! Thats where the huge suite is but we never saw anyone coming in or out of there

Thanks so much for the info! I saved it to a note to my iPhone, it sounds so confusing to me! It's going to be hard for me to learn a new resort! Almost makes me want to move to the Poly or AKL, but I Check in in a week and leave for my cruise in Friday, kind of cutting changes close!!! I hope it's not as overwhelming once I get there!

Oh no...I hope I haven't made it sound complicated...its just that if you are going to EPCOT or HS you go out the back , or Boardwalk side. If you are going to MK or AK or Downtown, you need to go out the front entrance to the bus stop
