Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

The number of people (on that thread) that have reported the same issue as you is notable/interesting to me. I would normally say glitch, but seems relatively widespread. Either they are slowly changing something, or it’s a pretty large scale glitch, or they’re flooded with voucher links.

FWIW, AP rates aren’t out past August so you’re not missing all that much at the moment.
I was looking at mid to end of August. I want to attend an after hours event if I go. Have to check that schedule. I guess I will have to call. I saw a bunch of mixed things on that thread. I'm sure they were flooded with vouchers. We come back from the Bahamas the 10th so want to play around with dates for flights.

My husband upgraded his military ticket to a Silver pass in February and he could not see the AP rates for resorts online. We were told by phone CMs that was the way it was supposed to be until he actually activated the pass in the park and if he wanted to check them he had to call. I upgraded my military ticket to a Gold pass in March and could see the AP rates online right away. Both passes were not actually activated until late May. We never actually got a straight answer about why it was one way for him and another for me.

Booking RPC, but there are no standard rooms available (or Deluxe Queens) for my dates so I have to go with Deluxe King, or TPV. The TPV rooms are slightly more costly. Between the two categories, I can't really decide if I should book one or not. I really don't need or necessarily want a theme park view as I'd rather be closer to the lounge/main lobby. I know the mathematical odds, but what are the actual chances of getting one of the 6 deluxe king rooms that are not theme park view? Also, is there any lobby view on the other side of the TPV rooms; what's across the hall? Sorry for the odd questions, but these rooms are pricey and I just don't know if I want to spend the money unless they are really nice. Again, I know the view of MK isn't that great to begin with from that angle.

I can’t help you with your other questions, but can with this - that’s a one sided hallway from the lounge all the way down to the bank of TPV rooms. So, no rooms on the left side (if walking from the lounge).

Has anyone stayed CL @ AKL lately and know if any of those rooms have been renovated? I currently have a room request in for a bunk-bed room, however if some of the CL rooms have been renovated I may change my request. We will be there on July 13.

Yes, about half of the CL rooms have been renovated. Note that they are removing the bunk beds from the renovations, so if you request bunk bed and renovated, that will be a mutually-exclusive request. :-) (so pick one either renovated or bunk beds to put in your request).

We arrive on July 25th. Would love to hear about your stay.

Thank you for the information! I am going to change my request to a renovated room I think. I’ll report back and let you know how it goes!

Ha! I have an AP for 2 days and now I'm thinking of sneaking in a trip with my 2 kids while my husband is away on a work trip in Vegas. It is addicting.

APs are definitely addicting! Hope it works out and you are able to go in August :goodvibes.

I’m July 28th

Hope you all have great trips! Looking forward to hearing about all of your stays as AKL CL is on my list to try :).

We are staying CL (TPV! 😊) at CR 8/26-31. We’ve never stayed CL at CR before. Is it true they leave beer and soda in the fridge at night and you can access that even after the lounge is closed? I feel like I read that somewhere, and I mentioned it to my husband who is now very excited about the prospect of grabbing a beer after we get back from the parks at night, but now I can’t find that information again. I want to correct myself if I was wrong so he’s not disappointed lol.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately it didn't work. Gggrrr
I'm having the same issue. I am unable to see rates on my husband's account that has an AP bought with a Sam's Club voucher. I bought an AP through WDW and haven't activated it, yet, for me. I can see rates and such on my account, just not on my husband's that has the voucher linked to it. This has me a little worried about the Galaxy's Edge preview that I'm hoping for. His AP also doesn't show up in my MDE, but mine does in his. We also have some regular admissions that are valid until 2031. His regular admissions aren't showing up in my MDE, either, but I can make FP reservations for him through my account. Weird.

Soda yes until gone. I have never seen beer out. I don't think legally they can.

You can take some during the day and put in your room however. I always have a glass of wine for later stashed. Those little bowl covers in asst sizes at the 1$ store work great for that.

There are 6 octagon and 9 tpv deluxe kings. So do the math lol.

The problem is this. All the tpv rooms are the farthest from the lounge. The 9 tpv deluxe kings are on the 2nd floor and have to be accessed via an elevator from floor 2 up to 4 for the lounge.

Deal breaker? Not really. I have had those twice with dd. The view is nice over the marina with the castle in the distance.

However if I got to choose I would want the other octagon for location and room size. The closet is HUGE too .

At any rate the building is not large, and its still all convenient.

Good luck choosing, rpc is a fun place to try.

Thanks, I was hoping you'd come along with your opinion! If I could guarantee one of the octagonal rooms, I'd choose the deluxe king category. For the money, I'd just rather be on 4 or 3 and not deal with the private wing on 2. If a standard room opened up, I would choose that first, but none are open right now. Thank you!

I didn't know that! Maybe too much of a pain for Mousekeeping…We liked the bunk beds, works well with early teen-age kids! Plus it made the rooms feel a little bigger!

Great "Pro Tip!"

Not having to worry about buying tickets makes it a little easier to justify going more than once within a year...Disney math at its best . I just renewed my AP a couple weeks ago when I was there and I'm already contemplating a quick August trip and possibly taking my niece back in Oct. After that, I still have another 8 mos on my AP :earboy2:.

As soon as I upgraded in January I knew we'd squeeze another trip in! And even though we swapped September for August, I'm still keeping my eye on September, lol! You never know...maybe a girls trip?

Hi folks--am moving this off the main resorts board and reposting here to hopefully get some info on how the CL FPs might work (or not) for this upcoming trip.

We are currently booked at BWI CL standard room for 5 nights going into Columbus Day weekend. We have 5 people in our party. Just found out my sister can join for part of the stay. The deluxe BWI CL rooms sleep 6 but are not available for our dates. I have been checking every day just in case one opens up; if so then that would solve the problem.

Right now Dad will be there nights 1, 2 and 3. Sister will be there nights 3, 4 and 5. So on night 3 we need to get a second room unless a deluxe room that sleeps 6 opens up for the whole trip; if so, I'd just put everyone in there.

I would like to get the CL FPs because we will be there during the Columbus Day weekend and the crowds will be big. My understanding is that a person needs to have 3 CL nights booked to qualify for the CL FPs.

Right now I have Dad on the room reservation for nights 1-5. He will be there for nights 1-3, so I will purchase CL FPs for the Dad plus us 90 days out, but not sister since she doesn't have a hotel reservation yet (but does have an AP). On day 4 I will let the front desk know that sister has arrived and will be moving into our room for nights 4 and 5, and that Dad has left. That gets her onto our reservation for nights 4 and 5, gets Dad off the reservation, and we are under room capacity except for night 3.

So here are (finally!!) the questions:
If I make a club level room reservation for sister for night 3, then she'll only have a 1 night stay on record with Disney (since she won't be added to our room until day 4 once we're there) so she still wouldn't qualify for the 3 day stay for CL FP eligibility. Should I make a 3 day club room reservation for her, buy the CL FPs and then cancel nights 2 and 3? That seems like it could be a problem and maybe we would lose the FPs? Or can I buy FPs for Dad for the entire trip, then switch some of them to sister after Dad leaves? They both have APs for what it's worth.

I called Disney but the CM said they hadn't encountered something like this before and recommended getting 2 club level rooms for 5 nights, but that seems like overkill (and completely blows the budget). Any advice?
