Is this just for AKL or any CL resort? We are staying CL at the Poly for the first time in 10 days. I have read varying reports about arrival - some having to check in at the normal front desk while others being escorted to the Hawaii building. Should I be looking for an IPAD person upon exiting MDE?
I think you'll find the offerings pretty excellent at BC CL. Especially the cupcakes. And they are very generous with the wine (does that sound horrible)..

We will staying at the Beach club CL room NOv 8-15 our first CL room and since I just found this page with all this club level info I am super excited! looking forward to a magical vacation for my self my husband and my 4 yr old
Thanks for adding us to the list
Christine
I'm am transferring from BWI to BC CL 11/14-15th.
It will be just dh and I . Our 20dd and I are doing a class at bwi and she heads back to college 13th. Dh said he wanted f&w and last OL so he meeting me for the weekend.
You will love cl! Happy planning!
DH and I will be staying BC CL from 11/14/11/17 celebrating my birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary.
I also wanted to add when checking in for CL, if you see a person waiting outside with an iPad just go up to them and let them know you're checking in and your name. When drove up to AKL at the same time a Magical express bus had just dropped off a bunch of people. I knew the IPad people were the ones that took us upstairs based on previous experience so I just went up to one of them and said Larson, checking in. She immediately said oh, I was looking for you come on upstairs. However if I didn't seek her out or know to do that I would have walked right past her because she was talking to someone else (trying to see if they were me). I did also notice another family was brought up stairs and the CMs were apologising because they had started checking in downstairs. So apparently, they were found and brought to the correct place. I know there have been some reports of people not knowing where to go or being ignored completely but hopefully they're trying to make the process better. At least it seemed that way at AKL
YOU too!DH and I will be staying BC CL from 11/14/11/17 celebrating my birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary. We arrive on 11/13 so will spend one night at POP then head over to BC on the 14th. So excited to get back to F & W and get some much needed R & R.![]()
Hope you both have a great time!!
I would probably have a quick look out the front door and see if the ipad person was busy. Often they are just waiting. If they were available, that's who I'd talk to. If they are busy, I'd talk to the front desk.We are arriving at AKL on Friday, but then switching to CL on Tuesday morning. Since we'll already be at the resort, should I just look for this iPad person, or go to the regular resort check-in area first? We've stayed CL before, but for the entire stay that time, and a CM grabbed us while we were walking into the lobby.
Your room might not be ready, but you can enjoy the lounge as soon as you check in.We are switching from Kidani to AKV club level before we head to the parks that day. I know our room won't be ready that early, but when will we have access to the lounge? It would be nice to come back and relax even if our room isn't ready yet.
Only one week away!![]()

WOW! Exciting!!! Initially I was going to suggest GF Main building, with it's proximity to MK and the whole GRAND feeling. I think your sister would feel like a princess. But being in the Epcot area is definitely wheelchair friendly, and the vibe there is sure to thrill your Dad. I am not a huge Monorail fan, but that is an easy way to get around in a wheelchair...oh my Erika I am not helping you at all LOL. The suites are cheaper at BC than GF, and accommodate 7 adults, and might be comparable to 2 RPC rooms..... that said we have always been able to get 2 connecting rooms at each resort(even though they cannot guarantee them). What you could do after booking is not only contact IPO, but contact disability services. I do not have any kiddos in a wheelchair, but I have two on the spectrum and they have been stellar in answering questions/concerns and even providing suggestions. If you decide on two rooms, the square footage in those MK rooms is larger plus those daybeds will come in handy. If you do GF, Poly, or CR you are getting 4Q and 2 daybeds. Plus room for your sis' wheelchair. As a RN, I'd like to offer my services I will sleep in the bathtubGood morning everyone!!
I need some advice. My Dad will be taking his FIRST TRIP to WDW in March 2017 to see my oldest son's marching band perform at MK.With all my year and years of begging him to go he's finally willing thanks to my son asking him to come see him march down Main Street.
I feel a HUGE amount of pressure to make this trip the best possible experience, because I've endured about 20 years of ridicule from him for all my Disney trips!
I want the absolute perfect resort and room type, I really want to blow his socks off! I can book this next month when we hit the 499 day mark to make sure we get the exact rooms we want.
My Dad is really family oriented and I feel he'll be the happiest if we can all be together. So that means he and my stepmom, plus my sister, then me and my two kids. Six of us. My sister has cerebral palsy and might possibly have a care giver with her, so that could be 7 people. I'm so excited for her to come too because she's never been to WDW or really anywhere. She loves the princesses and over the years I've brought her lots of autographs and pictures.... but this will be her time to see them all in person. I could cry just thinking about it.
I'm so happy and excited for her.
My sister will have a wheelchair. I need to think of which resort will be best for that. I want something that will appeal to a 75 year old man who knows absolutely nothing about Disney, plus works for my princess loving sister, and will be the most wheelchair friendly.
Also I need to figure out what type of rooms to book. Dad and stepmom need a room or suite that will give my sister either a guaranteed connecting room or second bedroom because she goes to bed by 8:00 PM and has to have her door open to him, and it has to have a bathtub. Then I'm picturing me and my kids in an adjoining room nearby. It would be amazing to have double connecting, but I don't think this exists anywhere, does it?
Since we'll be stuck in the rooms at night we definitely need a great view, and the closer to the club lounge the better. Also my Dad likes a nice bar/lounge to hang at, I imagine we'll rotate staying in the room with my sister so he can go down to the lobby in the evenings for a nightcap. He wouldn't want anything too crowded or noisy but he does enjoy meeting new people and chit chatting with the bartender.
They won't be doing any swimming, and won't be spending much time in the parks. MK for the parade and visiting the princesses, and probably Epcot since I can entice Dad with food and drinks.
What do you guys think?????All thoughts and opinions welcome!!

So basically, my vote is a 2BR suite at BC or 2 GF rooms LOLSO excited for you! Both the Friendship boats and the monorail are wheelchair accessible (I just don't trust that darn monorail LOL)
I've not stayed there, but I love the idea of all of you being at GF. I agree, I think your dad would really enjoy the music. You made some really great points, and I love your suggestions! One more thing I'll throw into the mix is the rain! It seems we always end up having some rainy/stormy days in late March, so the convenience of being inside a building (main building GF or even the CR) could really be helpful, especially with the wheelchair. If we end up having rain it would give my sister places to go without being outdoors. I'm trying to think ahead to every possible problem that could arise, I don't want to give my Dad any reason to complain or be uncomfortable.
I definitely could see them at the GF, I think Dad would love the band!
What do you think about the CR??

You are planning a very special and thoughtful trip. Lucky family!![]()
What would be better for your sister? Would she and her caregiver prefer connecting with you and the kids or Dad? It might be really hard to get three rooms connecting. Maybe focus on getting two connecting, and request the third nearby? This will be his one and only time, so it's a lot of pressure!
I'm thinking while we're at the GF over Christmas maybe I can talk to someone about connecting rooms in the RPC. I really need the equivalent of 3 rooms, a king bed for Dad, another room with two queens for sister and caregiver, then a room for me and the kids. But somehow all together??

I think it's a great idea to chat with the GF CM's while you are there. Maybe they have suggestions, too.
The 2 bedroom suite at CR? MK view!Good morning everyone!!
