Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I also wanted to add when checking in for CL, if you see a person waiting outside with an iPad just go up to them and let them know you're checking in and your name. When drove up to AKL at the same time a Magical express bus had just dropped off a bunch of people. I knew the IPad people were the ones that took us upstairs based on previous experience so I just went up to one of them and said Larson, checking in. She immediately said oh, I was looking for you come on upstairs. However if I didn't seek her out or know to do that I would have walked right past her because she was talking to someone else (trying to see if they were me). I did also notice another family was brought up stairs and the CMs were apologising because they had started checking in downstairs. So apparently, they were found and brought to the correct place. I know there have been some reports of people not knowing where to go or being ignored completely but hopefully they're trying to make the process better. At least it seemed that way at AKL

This has been a troublesome issue since most people don't know they're supposed to look for a CM carrying an iPad and often there are multiple families getting off the bus at the same time. Very good advice!

Oh wait! One more question. Is 6:30 the earliest the coffee is made?

Yes, but you can make coffee in your room any time. They provide the coffee maker and the pods. Usually I move ours into the bathroom so I can make coffee early and not bother my kids. I have to have it while I'm getting dressed! :D

It was the CM at the CL check in desk. His name was Tim and you could tell Tim was new or at least very unsure of himself. It was like every step he took he was replaying in his mind what he learned in class. He was super nice and helpful with other things but either he slept through CM class or just wasn't trained very well. The next morning we asked another CM Mike and he assured us we would have all privileges until midnight and we did.

Gotta love the *new* folks :scratchin

just back from an incredible CL stay at BWI. we got our requested room on 3rd floor with large balcony. The lounge CM's were awesome, especially Pete who went out of his way for us on several occasions.
We enjoyed the lounge a lot this trip. It is so hard to come back to reality...it really struck me when my magicband wouldn't open my door at home and the only fastpasses I have booked is an 8:30-40:30 window to be at work everyday.

I am still overwhelmed with my planning. I downloaded the maps from touringplans and wrote in the room numbers for BWI and cl 5th floor at BC. Then I need to research AOA a little more then a first ever DL trip. I have never had so many new to me resorts/trips so close together.

SO! Anything I should know about BC cl??? Any short cuts? Any food or drinks to request not out? ETC..... I have done cr/poly/wl and gf both cl's if anyone wants to compare and contrast.. go for it.

Trip is less than 30 days. 3 night bwi with disney institute class then one night BC std CL. It will be dh and I for the CL part.

TIA

Glad you had a great trip and enjoyed BWI CL :).

LOL about the MB and FP . It is hard getting home and back to reality. The best way to deal with that is to start planning the next trip ;).

I think you'll find the offerings pretty excellent at BC CL. Especially the cupcakes. And they are very generous with the wine (does that sound horrible)..

My persistence paid off! RPC King room for me in 21 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was happy with Sugarloaf, but SUPER happy now!

RPC??? Congrats!! This calls for a happy dance! :dance3: :dance3: Enjoy! :goodvibes:cheer2::cool1:

Anyone know if they still offer the welcome drink at YC? Anything similar offered at the Contemporary ? I hardly ever drink but it sounded good so I intended to try it when we were at YC in January. But then we were up changing travel plans at 2AM due to a snowstorm. By the time we checked in around 3:30
PM, I was afraid I'd fall right to sleep if I had a drink. :rotfl2: Hope to try it on December if they still have it. Thanks!

Is this just for AKL or any CL resort? We are staying CL at the Poly for the first time in 10 days. I have read varying reports about arrival - some having to check in at the normal front desk while others being escorted to the Hawaii building. Should I be looking for an IPAD person upon exiting MDE?

I've seen the IPad people at AKL, WL, CR and GF. I don't remember them at the Poly but then again, I haven't stayed there so I'm usually entering on the 2nd level. Hopefully someone else can let you know.

I always look for the iPad person first, if you don't see anyone (doubt this will happen) go ahead inside to the front desk. :)
