Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Well, I just got a call from Disney Signature Services regarding my upcoming July stay at Gran Destino Tower, just as we did staying at the other CL resorts in the past. So, looks promising that it is going to be legit CL services. Will post more if I learn anything else! Getting very excited!
Yes, me too. The CM told me that the 3 additional FP's would be available as well for $50 per day per person

Hello everyone, seeing more posts about Coronado has reminded me of an update I had read a while back

I’m sure many have seen or known about this but maybe just an update for those that may have not.

I have loved Coronado ever since the first time I was invited to make an appearance at a convention, and actually had gone back several times for that purpose also.

2015 we spent the 4th of July week there and my wife and kids really enjoyed it also.

I recall there being a small Business Club, I had only gone in for a glance because my meals and such were always awesome and provided!

Ok I’m rambling a bit but the point I’m getting at is the changes coming real soon at Coronado look very exciting, the new tower and rooms look very beautiful with a nice modern touch of Coronado’s theme.

With the new dining options coming to Coronado I can only imagine the Club Level offerings to be awesome!

There is so many fun new things coming soon it is a very exciting time!

I don’t have any plans currently at Coronado, but it is very tempting to look into making some.

I never thought I'd participate in this thread but I just booked a room in Sugar Loaf at GF for June! I have two young kids (2 and 5) and I'm hoping the easy access to food and proximity to the pool will make the upgrade worth it. Very excited to try CL for the first time!

The GF is an awesome resort, you will love it! SL is just steps from the courtyard pool, so very convenient for grabbing snacks/drinks while relaxing poolside. Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Hi all. We are doing a 4 night club stay split between Poly and YC.

What a great split, best of both worlds! Hope you have a great time :).

i have had many CSR stays and 2 in the business class. I have the new cl booked. I love to mix it up and try new things with Disney.

I'd book if I were you. Once the GP learn about it it will be hard to get. You can always cancel but if change mind there may not be availability.

The lounge looks amazing! Thx for posting.

I’d love to book but we have so much planned for this year as it is!

Such a bad dilemma....right?

I’ll definitely be looking forward to some more of your awesome pics though and review!

Are you going like right when it opens time frame?

Edit: I see never mind :thumbsup2

If you have a room like the deluxe cl rooms at WL or the Hosptiality or other outer building suites at CR where they are far from the lounge they do stock those.

I have a friend who often arrives late (after 10p)and has requested that for std cl room and has been successful . It's hard to get a beverage when most places are closed.

We stayed in a deluxe CL room back in December, and one of the Old Faithful staff members called be about a week before our stay and asked if I'd like our fridge stocked with anything. I was blown away by this...I had no idea it was possible! We requested water bottles, Diet Coke, and orange juice, and they were all waiting for us when we arrived. I don't know about the beer because we don't drink it so didn't request it. I also asked the CM if WL had distilled water available for purchase as I need it for my CPAP machine, and she said that the sundry shop had it available for purchase, and that she'd have it waiting in the room for me upon arrival. Sure enough, it was there on the mini bar, and we were never charged for it. We were blown away by the service from the CMs at the Old Faithful club...I still prefer the food offerings at BWI CL, but WL wins hands down for service so far -- and we've stayed CL at BWI, WL, BC, and GF RPC, and have upcoming stays at GF SL and CR Atrium club, so I'm looking forward to trying that out. Given all the great reports I've read about YC CL lately, I need to add it to the "to try" list as well!

Hello! Staying at BWI September 2nd through 6th. Currently hubby and I, however we would like to bring our daughter, however, having a hard time finding a sitter while there.

Questions:

Recommended rooms for standard club level?

Babysitter recommendations, we have a daughter with special needs.

Thanks!

Hi, I am staying at Grand Floridian Sugarloaf in September. I would like to request a late checkout. I stayed there once before and made the same request. It went like this:

1. I asked one concierge desk CM about late check out the day before, he said he would put it in the computer and I should check back the next morning. I thought that was odd because my previous experience in other Disney hotels was that they were always able to give me an immediate answer.
2. As I was told, I came back to ask early next morning, 2 other CMS there looked at each other like they had never heard of late check out before. One of them called housekeeping, left a message, and said they would call me back in my room.
3. I came back only to realize that if they were to call, it would wake up my baby. I sat by the phone and pounced on it when it ran half an hour later, very loudly. The maid on the phone said my request for late checkout was denied.

I later made the same request at the Polynesian Club level and was given an answer immediately (approved), without any of the running around.

My question is, does the Grand Floridian not give late checkouts for some reason? Should I ask for a late checkout this time, or should I learn from the past and forget it?

GF definitely does late checkout. I find late checkout requests vary every single trip. I’ve requested it my last 3 stays at GF and each time it has been different:

1- Immediately approved.
2- Pending, followed-up daily, finally told day before checkout approved.
3- Pending, denied day before checkout, followed-up with front desk who then called housekeeping, changed time by 30 minutes and approved.

I always ask about late checkout as soon as I check-in. I also find I have better luck when requesting it physically in person with the front-desk. The call center you get from the in room phone or MDE app can either be very helpful or completely useless. The front desk has also gone above and beyond at GF and YC when I had followed-up about a “denied” request.

Wow, thanks so much! That is extremely helpful!

I recently requested late check-out at the Poly the week before Christmas and it was immediately approved. I'm sure it all depends upon occupancy needs and housekeeping. Otherwise, I usually don't need late check-out.

So when they approve late check out, how much more time do they allow you to stay in room?

I never get late checkout at the grand. The make you wait until check out day which is too late. How do you know if you need to be packed and out if going to a park early?

I usually try to find my housekeeper the day before and ask if my room is in need right away. They have always said to stay for what I need. I tip them well and try to be out noonish although once she said stay , your room not needed so we stayed until 2p.(non holiday and quiet week)

However dec 17 I was told by my housekeeper I could stay in my room as long as I needed. I knew my friend was arriving THAT day and MY room was her favorite so we left at 11a. Yep not long after she got the room ready text for my "ex"room. So for that reason I may take a few minutes say 11;30 -12 but do try to get out because someone probably is waiting for that room.

BWI CL is inside locked doors (need your MB to enter), although a few rooms are outside this door. If you want to be inside the security doors, close (or away) from lounge, etc, I would have those requests noted on your reservation. We stayed BWI CL last June and I requested to be inside the security doors and close to the lounge. I got just as requested as our room was inside those doors just 2 doors down from the lounge. It was not only very convenient to the lounge, but we had an awesome view of Epcot fireworks from our balcony. Requests are not guaranteed, but they do try to accommodate as best they can. BWI CL is amazing, hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

The one time we asked for late check out, they could only grant us 30 more minutes. This was non-CL. I asked at the front desk. He explained they had a lot of check-ins happening and needed to get rooms ready. I think that being granted will depend on number of check-ins and HK staffing.

Hi everyone

Does anyone have a link where I can read about all the club level perks? - we are staying club level in September and I would like to prepare :-)

We are staying at AKV Jambo if that makes a difference.

TIA.
