Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Is there a list anywhere that states where the king bed rooms are? Looking particularly at Aruba 51, 52 and Jamaica 44, 45. Thank you!

Touring Plans may not be 100% accurate at CBR but based on their room finder, here is what they show:

building 44- 1 king room - 4420 (first floor)
building 45- 0 king rooms
building 46- 25 king rooms - 14 on first floor and 11 on 2nd floor
building 51- 2 king rooms - 5101 & 5104
building 52- 0 king rooms building
building 53- 32 king rooms- 16 on first floor and 16 on 2nd floor

I know you didn't ask for info on 46 or 53 but since the other buildings didn't have but a couple of king rooms, those are the next closest buildings and they both have a lot of king rooms. The other building you may want to consider is building 42 It's not to far from the bridge but there appears to be several king rooms with beautiful views of the lake. Out of the 2112 rooms at CBR, it appears that there are only 160 king rooms.

Wow, Thank you, I tried go googling, and never found an answer! Much appreciated!

The info from Touring Plans is not accurate. There are 16 king rooms in every building (8 on each floor) except Trinidad South.

I know they have updated many rooms. That is why I started my post with "Touring Plans may not be 100% accurate at CBR". :thumbsup2

I posted that I had a King Bed Room that was pool view in Martinique, and we have also had King Bed Room with pool view in Jamaica. I do not think that there is an accurate list anywhere about which rooms have King Beds.

Happy Friday! Just checking in with you all, because we CHECK IN to CBR TOMORROW! I'm very excited, and I look forward to a week in paradise! I will be happy to answer any specific questions while I am there for anyone interested! :flower1:

What kind of coffee maker is in the room? I've searched everywhere for the answer, but have only seen people talking about walking to the food court for coffee. Are coffee makers still available in the room?

Yes, there are Coffee makers in every room. Check out post #6 of this thread for pictures.

They are Cuisinart 2-cup makers that use the flat round pods with the grounds already in them. Basically they look like round tea bags but with coffee.

We are checking in tomorrow. I am happy to answer any specific questions if anyone has any. We will be there 9/3/-9/11. Looks like we are just missing the storm. Safe travels to everyone else heading down or heading home.

Let us know what your room requests were, what room you get and if it has a murphy bed :goodvibes Have a fabulous trip!

For those asking about pool hours - checked in tonight and were told hours were 9 - 10. We are at the Trinidad South pool right now where posted hours are 7 - 11. Will see what's posted at the main pool tomorrow.

For those who are at CBR or are going in the near future, would you mind reporting back the cost of milk at the on-site store? Since we are on the meal plan my family won't need much (I've over bought/packed in the past so I'm trying to learn my lesson). I think a service like Garden Grocer won't be the right fit this trip. I'm hoping I can pack the dry breakfast food and just buy a few 1/2 gallons of milk or juice. Of course if the milk is $10, I may rethink this plan. Thanks!
Milk is 3.69 for half gallon. I didn't see any big juice, just single serve.

@dansdad, with your knowledge of the amount of king rooms, do you also know how many murphy bed rooms there are in each building? And, as usual, thank you for your wealth of knowledge and always willing to share.

Just an FYI, I have updated the informational pages to include the difference between standard and preferred rooms (only difference is the location...decor and size are the same) and updated the pull-down bed list. If I happened to miss a post that included a room number with a pull down, please tag me or message me.

@mickeystoontown

I am stuck at home nursing some dental surgery :guilty: so I went through all the pages (searched murphy and pull down) and wrote down all the room numbers that someone has reported with a murphy bed. I also incorporated them into your list from the first page so if you want to update it with this list (I have bolded the new entries). There are only 60 total rooms reported with a murphy bed. There were 25 that I added to your 35 from the original list. There is still a long way to go on capturing all the murphy bed rooms but hopefully we will have some other disboard members report their murphy bed rooms. Hope this helps.
