Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

We are a family of 3 and both times we have been given a room with a Murphy bed.

We did the new bus route to typhoon lagoon yesterday. The morning was fine - the bus said typhoon lagoon/Disney springs and it went straight to typhoon lagoon. Quick trip. For the ride back to cbr (we left at 3pm) you take the bus to Disney springs drops you off there and you walk to the cbr bus stop which was 23 of course the farthest away. And a long long wait for the cbr bus to arrive at the springs. Ride home total took over and hour.

You're welcome. I recommend calling the Main Reservations Line and add any room requests to your reservation. This can be done any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days prior to your arrival. Then if you do Online Check In, skip the room request section. I do not like making room requests during Online Check In as the options are predetermined and very limited. For example, you can't request a building only a Village.

When you do call in your requests and the phone CM tries to tell you that you have to wait until 10 days prior to your arrival thank them, hang up, and call back. Hopefully you will get a knowledgeable CM the 2nd time that knows you can add your requests any time. We always book our trips via phone and make our room requests then, usually 6-7 months out.

Dansdad, I added a room request by phone, it's now clearly written on my invoice with the section number. Two days ago, while doing my online check-in, I also put a village request as well. Would you suggest to remove the request on the online check-in ?

If both requests are for the same Village you're fine.

Thank you for commenting about the water park transportation. If you happen to go to BB, could you report back on that as well? Thanks, hope you're having a great time!

DH and I just decided this morning to drive down for a weekend vacation tonight! This will be our first time staying at the CBR. We'll be there through Sunday :yay:

Did that a couple of times before children. Spontaneity is great for Disney trips. Enjoy.

Sorry we won't be going to bb this trip. But my son loooved tl. Wished I planned a non planned day so we go back to the water parks but this is a short trip (5 days) so squeezing everything in. Went to legoland today which was like a 2 compared to a 10 for Disney. Or maybe I just felt like I was cheating on Disney! Hahaha

I can't remember if I said Trinidad north quiet pool is open.

Playground still closed.

To add to the list on the first page, Trinidad North 3239 has a Murphy bed. DD fell off it on our first night - she just HAD to sleep there!

That's our excuse for coming back so much this year ;) We made our first spontaneous Disney trip 3 months after we started dating almost 3 years ago, were here for our honeymoon a month ago, and are planning to go back in September. It feels a little crazy, but figured we might as well enjoy it before we're busy with a family!

We're in 4260 in Jamaica. I'm really surprised how much I like the room! Very large, nice bed, clean. I'm a happy girl.

I just have one question which is the ultimate decision in whether to stay at CBR before we book. It will only be myself and my DH, we have no children but I was talking to one of my supervisors at work and she said 'don't go it's full of kids, buses are always full' etc etc. It's our first time to WDW, and we don't mind children, but we do like some peace some days. Can anyone help? Thanks

Edit - We will be going either September/October 2017

I have not stayed there yet but

1. It's Disney World, EVERYWHERE is full of kids LOL

2. Buses are hit or miss at every single resort, I never base a resort stay only on bus service. It can factor in a little but it is not the 1st consideration on where I stay.

Pick the resort you like, look at ALL the pros and cons, and then go in knowing that yes sometimes kids are running around or buses run late. In the end it's all okay, you're at Disney.

DH and I have been going to Disney without our son for many trips can't count. We will be there this September, DH and I were there last September also. Nothing like an adult Disney vacation. CBR is our favorite resort.
DS20 and I will be going in December, 2nd time for just him and I last time it was just him and I he was 15. We will be staying at POP first time in a value resort, a little worried.
I got Free Dinning for both trips. The CM on phone said I should book another trip and get a trifecta for trips this year. Could not talk DH into that one. I tried to get him to go for a trip for all 3 of us but someone has to stay back and take care of the dog!

Heck, the wife and I have taken our last 4 trips without our sons. She gets a little embarrassed when I wear the pirate eye patch and carry the plastic sword, but hey, she knew who she was marrying!!! :goofy:

Hello!

Our first trip to WDW will be this Nov/Dec. We're staying at CBR (obviously).

Normally I try not to post a question without reading a thread, but this thread is loooooong. Can anyone tell me what the coffee is like in the room? I find hotel room coffee to be hit and miss. For all the coffee lovers out there: Is it decent enough to get the morning going? I know it won't be the Best Coffee Ever, but is it passable? I'm trying to decide whether it's worth bringing something along for the room, since we'll be up and at 'em very early each day.

We're on the DDP - is it better just to go to the refill station and get your coffee there?

Thanks in advance!

My husband is the coffee drinker in my family, he doesn't care for Starbucks coffee, he likes Maxwell House or Folgers just puts sugar in his coffee or black. That being said, he said the room coffee was good.
They have decaf. and reg. We left room serves a note to leave reg. And they left us a bunch.

I don't care for the coffee, but I'll drink it just to get me going. I bring packets of Starbucks Via or the Target brand ones on longer trips. I think the pods in the room and the coffee at the food court is both Joffrey's.
