Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

2 questions:

1) sounds weird, ha ha, but what is the TV lineup in the CBR rooms? I have a 2 & 4 year old and I'm planning some room time to relax & for naps, guess I want to know if they have enough channels for their age that'll entertain them for a bit.

Channel lineup is below. Plus the TVs have HDMI, Component and Composite connections on them if you bring a small DVD player, tablet, etc.

2) also, how long does it take to get back to CBR from Epcot in the late afternoon around 3 or 4 pm.

Thanks! :)

About 6-7 minutes once on the bus.

Question: Have TP, and have put down our requests, but haven't signed up for them to fax it yet. On the online check in on MDE, do I go ahead and fill out requests also? When I originally booked, I listed our requests, and the cm's still tell me they are there. So, If I let TP fax in my requests, do I leave my online check in blank? Don't want to seem entitled by requesting on two sites, but thought I read somewhere if i use TP's fax, to leave my online option blank. Is that right? Or does it really matter?

TP = Toilet Paper?

If you listed your requests when you booked, there's no need to fax them again. But you can if you want to. It won't hurt or help your chances.

Either way, definitely skip the room request section during Online Check In.

1. Many many channels for that age range.

2. 8-12 minutes, with 12 minutes being the extreme.

The TV has disney junior! And disney cartoon channel. All the other disney channels. No Nick or Nick Junior though (my son was looking for his spongebob and couldn't find Nick - obviously....competitor! hahahaha)

Just got back from CBR on 3/20/16. A disappointment I had was no bounce-back offer in the room. I asked at the concierge desk in OPR and was told there weren't any being offered at this time. Has anyone had a bounce-back offer lately at CBR? Thanks.

Did you call the Bounce back line from your room, x8844? I have had Concierge and the Front Desk CMs tell me there was no bounce back offer but when I called the bounce back line, sure enough there was. We had some friends there March 12 - 19 and they booked one.

No, I didn't think to do that. I did write an email asking about this and received a phone call to discuss. When I call back on Wednesday I'll let you know what they say. I don't know if I would qualify any more since I am already home:(

Good luck. If I hadn't posted about not having one here on the DIS before we checked out a couple years ago, I would not have known to call and ask.

Why skip that section? Uh -oh this is what I did, is there a better way to ask for specific requests?

The best way to make room requests is to call the main reservation line and have them added to your reservation. I don't like, or recommend, using the room request section during Online Check In because the options are predetermined, all the same no matter what room type you book, and very limited. The requests we like to make are Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 and 2nd floor. When calling them in you can list them in order of preference and you can explain exactly what you want to request. I find it much easier to get what we want.

Now there is no difference in HOW you make your requests as far as them getting granted or not. It's not like one method is weighted higher than the other.

Oh okay, I'll be calling today. Another quick question, if I didn't book a preferred room, does that mean there is no chance of staying at Martinique? I'd like to be close to the food court since I have small kids but don't want to pay extra. Thanks :-)

If you booked a Standard room you could request Martinique 21, 22 and 23. Those building have Standard, Water View and King rooms.

My last 3 trips to Disney (2 stays were CBR and the other POR) I faxed in room requests in the 7 days prior to my arrival. In all 3 instances, I asked for specific room numbers for the area I had booked. In all 3 instances, I had my first choice of room locations granted. This was in March all 3 trips, so I don't know if I got lucky or what. I did not pay TP to do something for me that I can easily do on my own. I used a fax template which was provided by a CM, they knew what they were talking about.

I last did this just 4 weeks ago prior to my trip.
