Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

I'll still have to bring along a small toaster for my morning toast or bagels! Wish someone would start up a toaster swap like the fridge swap at values before Disney put fridge's in all rooms at values.

There are a couple toasters at OPR if you don't want to bring one. We use them every morning.

If you're taking Magical Express, Amazon and/or Garden Grocer will deliver. Amazon is great if you have prime.
Garden Grocer is local and delivers to WDW all the time. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
If you're coming by car (either rented or your own) We found a Walmart and a Walgreens within 10 minutes of CBR. We just put it into our GPS and stopped on the way in. (We always grab bottled water, I'm not crazy about Florida H2O and I use the bottled water to make my coffee and tea.) Tastes so much better.

Thanks everyone! I knew about the grocery delivery options, but my in-laws are coming in for dinner and are very picky eaters. They don't want to eat at a Disney restuarant (can you imagine?), so I was looking for a healthy option for them. They love Whole Foods and Fresh Market. They will be able to run us to the store and we'll let everyone grab dinner from the prepared foods and grab a few staples for us for the week. Still loving this page, btw! Thanks for the input!

That's funny, and to think DH (especially) and I look forward all year to dining at Disney restaurants! Different strokes and all that! :-)

I've looked on this thread and I don't see what I'm looking for.. We are driving in and I we tend to pack a lot of stuff, lol, will we be able to take a luggage cart to our vehicle to unload everything and take to our room then return? We have done this several times at Pop and hoping we can at CBR. Thanks

I've seen luggage carts at Customs House but never at the actual resort buildings. Unless someone else knows for sure otherwise, I think you'll have to carry all your stuff. There are rooms right on the parking lot that you can park right in front of.

Checking in on Sunday ... What is the best way to do room requests? And where are the best locations these days? We are travelling with another family and hoping to be in the same village... Thoughts/opinions on how to go about that?

Ok, thank you!

We are the same way! We bring everything but the kitchen sink. We stayed at POR last year and they did not have the carts to use so I assume it will be the same for us at CBR. Not sure if u have a stroller but my husband loaded up our double stroller with a ton of stuff and that saved us some trips! I have even thought about bringing our collapsible wagon just for this purpose!

It's too late to make any room requests now as rooms are assigned 2-3 days prior to your arrival. You are going to have to wait until you check in and get your room, then decide if you want to try for another room/location.

Best location is a personal thing, everyone likes different things. We happen to like Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 as both are a very short stroll over the bridge to OPR and the Main Feature Pool. But I really don't think there are any bad locations at CBR, and we've stayed in every Village except Trinidad South.

With most rooms being a significant distance from the Customs House what is the process to get carry on bags to your room from DME and to get all luggage back to Customs House and DME on check out day? Are carry on sized suit cases allowed on the internal shuttles? Is luggage service efficient to get us and baggage to/from room or is everyone else trying to do that with each DME bus, and a lot of people checking out every morning? Or do people just drag their bags all the way if not in Barbados!

We stayed in Trinidad South before it was converted to Pirate Rooms. Actually liked it pretty well. Not as much foot traffic as the resorts north of the bridge and the quiet pool was really quiet.

1. They will send someone to pick you and your bags up if you call bell services.

2. Depending on the number of people on the internal shuttle, they may let you. I have seen it done a couple of times and the bus driver was pretty cool about letting the people take smaller suitcases.

3. I've walked my bags and have also called to be picked up.

No stroller and no wagon, lol. Looks like we'll be making a lot of trips to the car to get everything into the room. We're leaving in 8hrs so I need to see what I can combine before we load it into the car.

Have fun! I did see where someone was able to pull up at the circle drive of their village and unload from there. That might help.
