Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

The Food Truck Breakfast Menu lists:

Fruit Cup
Yogurt Parfait
Assorted Breakfast Pastries
Breakfast Cuban Wrap
English Muffin -- sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich
Croissant -- bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich

Can anyone there now confirm which items are Snack Credits and which are a full QS credit? I could make an assumption but ..... well... You know! :)
Does anyone know how much just a sausage egg cheese muffin is?

We have our first stay at CBR in two weeks. At other resorts, we have always gone to the front desk to pay our bill every couple of days (don't like surprises when we check out). Since CBR is so spread out, do they have concierge desks throughout the resort where one can pay their bill or do we have to make the trek each time to the Customs House?

I just spoke to the last of the group's that I knew that got denied the $75 per night gift card because they had already got the $75 per night credit. All of them have received a refund on the credits cards used to pay for the rooms equivalent to $75 per night. All are very pleased.

I really don't think anyone is going to have any issues going forward. They've finally realized THEY screwed up.
Good news! thanks Dansdad you rock :)

friend sent me tons of images of the food and menus of food trucks etc but I dont know how to post..shes there now and said the staff are going above and beyond for guests, shes really happy.. anyhoo..I had a question. I have two young boys who live off pizza. They used to love the personal pizzas at CBR which will no longer be served...does anyone know where else in the parks they might sell this pizza? I know they dont in pizzafari anymore they switched to flatbreads...Im sure Ive seen the regular pizzas but cant remember where? help!

No need to go to the Custom House. There used to be a Concierge Desk in OPR, but now with the construction they have a Concierge Desk set up in room 3109 which is in Trinidad North.

Honestly, I really question the wisdom of bringing up not getting something you haven't not gotten, if that makes sense. If I didn't get it I would indeed fight it but no way would I say that I've heard folks on a message board weren't getting their gift cards. That may or may not even be what happens when you arrive. Why bring it up now?
Well that's your option I don't want to be on a vacation stressed out trying to get something tha I was suppose too. I'd rather take care of it before hand.

I am still trying to wrap my head around why some people were notified of the room discount prior to the gift card announcement, while others like myself were not! Any insight? I made a reservation in August 2016, did not receive the $75 room discount, did receive the $75 gc. I really feel Disney handled this poorly and have not treated their customers as equals. It has left a pit in my stomach over our upcoming trip.

Dansdad - you said it, "They screwed up", in my opinion on their communication/miscommunication and I am feeling the financial and emotional side of it.

Is anybody else in the same situation I am in? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Just wanted you to know that you're not alone in your situation. I booked a bounceback last September for this fall and I've received no communication from Disney at all. :(

We had the "regular personal sized" individual pizzas at PizzeRizzo in HS, as well as Catalina Eddies on Sunset Blvd. also in HS, this past February.

I am in a way. I called in awhile ago and the CM told me she noted on my reservation to take the $75 off per night and that I would also receive the $75 gift card. She said the $75 off per night would be credited back to me when I checked in. Is that how it works with the $75 off per night discount? When FD came out the CM also applied it to my reservation. Now I'm a nervous that I won't get the $75 off per night. For people that has received the $75 off per night, did they credit it to you at check in?

What happened was when this massive construction project was announced guests started calling to complain about paying rack rate when so many amenities were going to be removed or diminished. When those calls started coming in to Guest Services they started offering guests a $75 per night credit. Then a couple days later, CBR management sent out the emails to ALL guests who booked before the announcement and who were going to be affected by the construction. So some guests received the $75 per night credit AND the $75 per night Gift Card. CBR Management had NO idea that some guests had already received the $75 per night credit. So when guests started checking in, some were getting denied the Gift Cards by the front desk CMs because they could see a $75 per night construction credit.

So yes, this was a lack of communication on a couple of fronts. But they have no fully realized their mistake and have corrected it. There should be zero issues going forward.

I didnt recieve any communication at all either..I took it upon myself to call them up myself at the beginning of February when I first found out about the construction..I spoke to a lovely CM as I was concerned that our trip would be ruined...I very much needed this trip to be good as I had major surgery to remove cancer in my esophagus March 1st and could not deal with any other stressful problems that might be thrown at us..( I have to add i held on the phone for 2 hrs 45 mins before getting through), the CM in turn put me onto a supervisor who offered to either move us to a Royal room at POR or to stay for $75 off per night, $25 gift card per day and free fastpasses for us all. My kids really wanted the pirate rooms so I chose to stay at CBR. Now what I did get was an email a week later saying my giftcard was being replaced from $25 to $75. Yes I agree Disney majorly screwed up and everyone should get the same but its about principle now...I got offered something to stay so they better honor what they said. Their screw up so they can fix it.

Thank you for the info. I did know about the construction, did not call right away, then gift cards are distributed..... sad because since I did not call to complain immediately I now lose out on a room discount. Just makes me sad, especially when I, as well as others, had a reservation before the gc and guests could take advantage of the gc up booking prior to Match 19. I hope everyone headed to CBR - room discount, gc, or nothing - all have a magical stay and construction doesn't impact your trip!

I hope your recovery is going smoothly, best wishes. Agreed, they screwed up so they just fix it for you and your stay! I called in February on two occasions, both times I was offered to switch resorts and pay the price difference. I am a family of 5 so I was very limited with options and said I could not pay the difference for our family to change resorts. The lack of communication and different treatment has left me feeling very sad and put off by Disney.

I would still shoot off an email to guest communications and tell them your story..it cant hurt and they might give you the room discount

see this makes me angry...why cant they all have the same offer..every time people call they all get different stories. From what I hear though thats nothing new..typical.
